You know when you have a drink and get the impulse to do something crazy?! This is exactly what Meredith does in this beautiful uplifting story. I mean I’ve done some mad things in my time when I’ve got a few drinks down my neck but Meredith beats me hands down. When she goes and bids on a lighthouse in Cornwall…… Boy how I love that place.

We follow Meredith has she sets about renovating the lighthouse with Clem.Kim sets the scene perfectly with her stunning descriptions which made me feel like I was right there in the story.

I adored Meredith and all the characters in this book. They are likeable and also very relatable.Hopeful Hearts at the Cornish Cove It was an absolute joy to read. When a book makes you smile and giggle you know it’s a winner. I devoured it in one sitting. I just couldn’t get enough of it.

This story is a pure gem….I loved it! If you looking for a feel good story then this is the book for you. I can’t recommend it enough. Grab your copy on the link below….

Every time I picked up "Hopeful Hearts at the Cornish Cove" I was whisked away with this book that is full of so much heart.

Firstly, I absolutely adore this cover! It is absolutely lovely!

Kim Nash is such an incredible author! Her writing is visceral and detailed, and her characters all feel like such real people that jump right off of the page, and the locations throughout her book are so clear. As the reader, I felt immersed in the world of the book, and could not put this book down.

Meredith purchases a lighthouse, and decides to move to Cornwall and begin anew. I do not want to say too much about the plot due to spoilers, but, I will say, this book has so much in it: humor, wit, heartbreaking moments, heartwarming moments, history, romance, friendship, and so, so much more.

I highly recommend this book! I so look forward to reading what Kim Nash writes next! I so hope to be able to visit Cornwall one day as well!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC of this novel, it is incredible! All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Warm, gorgeous and utterly lovely!
I think with covers like these, you know what you're getting when you start a book, but that doesn't detract from any of the enjoyment!
This is a 'curl up with a coffee and your kindle on a Sunday afternoon' book, and I loved every minute.
The setting of Cornwall seems to be a popular one lately, and Nash does a wonderful job of describing the area that I could visualise it all.
There is drama of course, watching how Meredith tries to find her way in her life. The lighthouse in the book was certainly appropriate for the story- I'd love to ask Kim Nash if it was intentional!
Fabulous!

I have loved reading author Kim Nash's books. It is so lovely to watch an author grow and come into her own. Whilst I loved all her books to date, I really noticed a difference in Hopeful Hearts at The Cornish Cove. I felt Kim was more confident in her writing. Almost like she learned so much from the writing of her previous books and used it all to create this one. I felt she settled in what she wrote and wrote it with such care for the beautiful characters she created.
I am really excited for this series. I wonder where she will take it. Her characters are solid and so likeable. Clem & Meredith I adored. She created enough characters that she could easily build a story around any one of them.
Well done to Kim, I couldn't have loved it more.

I will come back and attached the link to my review...

That's it, I want to go a buy a lighthouse and live the rest of my life on a beach.

I'm a huge fan of Kim's and there hasn't been a book I've not loved and this was exactly the same. I loved this from cover to cover.

I enjoy books involving restorations and I could picture evert single step in doing up this lighthouse. I loved Meredith and her love of helping people. I can't wait to read what is next from Kim.

My Review: I enjoyed this book, it's well written and easy to follow. There are two fun dogs in the story called Gladys and Charles. We follow Meredith in her new life in Driftwood Bay where she had bought a Lighthouse, we meet the Handyman type called Clem who is a little younger but rather dashing. Leaving her best friend Gabby behind she makes new friends in Gemma, Lucy and Vi. There are some laugh out loud moments and situations I could identify with. Mrs Robinson made me hum to the Lemonheads version of the song. If I had one question to ask the Author it would be, was that deliberate or a Freudian slip? I did cringe at the Chris Martin reference. In all a blooming gorgeous read. I want my own Lighthouse experience. Sorry for being late with this blogtour post, I was not well and sadly sometimes, we have to take care of ourselves. 5 Shiny Stars.

Imagine waking up to find, in a drunken moment you’d bought a lighthouse of all things. I had a friend once that bought a hostess trolley whilst drunk - you guessed it, when it arrived it was for a dolls house, how we laughed!!! Meredith had been living with her childhood, best friend Gabby for the past 12 months since getting a divorce from her husband, life was changing for best friend and Meredith needed to move out to give her space so decided to move to Cornwall and live in the accidental purchase. She thought that it would be the perfect fresh start and just what she needed.

Meredith had surprised not just herself, but her friends too when she packed up and upped sticks. What couldn’t be more idyllic than living near the beach she thought? However, her first impressions of the idyllic coastal Cornish town were watered down, when after the journey from hell, her first encounters with the locals were less than pleasant and her beloved furniture that had been in storage for a year wouldn’t fit through the door of the lighthouse - what had she done?! To top it off she’d clearly been sold a pup! To say the inside of the lighthouse was less than pleasant would be an understatement, filthy, crumbling and damp smelling - what had she done?

Fortunately, for Meredith, she found that not all the villagers were stand-offish and rude. Gemma, the owner of the local cafe/bakery waltzed into the lighthouse bearing tea and cake at just the right moment - sing singing a welcome to Cornwall. They hit it off instantly and this set in motion a string of events that had me oohing, ahhing, aching laughing and cringing in equal measures.

The pages of this delightful story are peppered with humour and often laugh out loud one liners - as well as what you always find in a Kim Nash book, a hearty helping of truth and reality. I absolutely loved it. Strong friendships both old and new. Kim Nash has woven the local characters into this story in such a way that I found myself jumping up, wanting to stick my oar in and get in Merediths or ‘Mere’ as the local carpenter/odd job man calls her corner. I might have frantically searched Rightmove too - I want to move to Cornwall and make friends with everyone too but most of all i want to live in a lighthouse.

I have loved all of Kim’s books but this one is another level, her best yet which I read in one sitting, barely moving position - my coffee going cold on the side. Thank you for this breath of fresh air, just what the doctor ordered on a miserable Friday evening. This was a truly, heart warming story that wove a lot of sunshine into my heart. Through Meredith, Kim portrayed that kindness, openness and honesty win the day. This was a positive feel good book that I’m glad I had the opportunity to read, in a busy world a perfect little bit of escapism.

Meredith needed a change. So she bought a lighthouse unseen in Cornwall. Yes, unseen. Pretty daring move for someone in their 50s.

Clem sounds just what she needed. He was pretty handy in more ways than one. But he's 10 years younger. How was that going to work?

I loved the idea of living in a lighthouse by the sea. But I couldn't get over all the steps she had to do to get to each floor. My knees couldn't take it.

I enjoyed reading this book and followed along with her updates to her lighthouse and her relationships with her new neighbors.

What a wonderful read, it’s one of those books where you really don’t want it to end. All the characters were likeable and easy to relate to, loved it

This is a gentle read which centres on starting over and making new friends in a delightful Cornish village. The story is largely character driven. In the main, the members of t the community respond to Meredith's open manner and generous spirit. Those who don't are revealed to have their own reasons for their attitudes. Meredith's relationship with her mother comes under the microscope and it is clear, that Meredith's early experiences have had a lasting impact on her.

There is always an air of romance in the background but Meredith is super cautious about any new relationships. This is a slow burn romance with the emphasis on friendship and compatibility in the long run. The lighthouse and the setting is gorgeous and so beautifully described. With some quirky, humorous charcters and even a delightful labrador, this is a real feelgood read.

In short: warmth and romance abound

Wow. It has been a long time since I have devoured a book this fast! I read 70% in one sitting. What a beautiful story. A breath of fresh air, or should I say sea air? I loved everything about this story from the setting, the sea, the characters, and the storyline. Main character Meredith sets sail to a new town, a new home (a lighthouse), and a new beginning. In this small town where everyone knows everyone, will she be accepted as a newcomer? Can she renovate her new home to what she likes? A feel-good, uplifting, and happy story. Parts had me laughing out loud. I fell in love with Clem. What a hottie. What a man. An all round amazing story. Five out of five stars. I enjoyed every page. Would highly recommend. Kim Nash has written another outstanding story again.

I feel like I already know Kim thanks to Social Media, even though I had never read one of her books. Now that I have read this book I want to read everything she has ever written! I am not sure if it has already been decided, but I beg you, please let this be the start of a new series. PLEASE!

Based on above and the stars rating I think it is clear that I absolutely LOVED this book. Right from the start I felt like I knew and loved Meredith. With Mere telling the story first person I was immediately swept away and invested. I smiled a lot, felt my heart warmed and wished I could swap places with Mere for the most part, except when dealing with some mean people in the village. I literally laughed out loud on numerous occasions, especially around Vi. I hope to be like Vi when I get older and then I would love nothing more than to have a new friend like Mere around. Clem was also charming and really easy to love.

This story was just the perfect mix! It was uplifting, heart-warming, romantic and laugh out loud funny.
