A very sweet book about a very sweet dog!

I love the message of the book, even if it was a little heartbreaking to read. As a staffy owner, it was quite relevant to me and my family. I'd love to own a hardcopy for my daughter once it's released.

Also, as a teacher, I thought this book could also be used during a lesson on prejudice and racism.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this book!

This book is must have! Love the message of advocating for dogs in a shelter - adopt don’t shop. This book follows the sweet dog Holly, who is abandoned by her family when she’s no longer a puppy, and then mistreated for being a pitbull. She finally finds people who appreciate her and give her a furever home.

I will be purchasing this when it’s released on July 25, 2023, I seriously cannot recommend this book enough.

Thank you NetGalley and North Star Editions for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Omg! My heart just broke!
This little sad story tells the story of an adopted puppy growing up to be a pit bull breed and so the family abandoned the dog. Holly, our lovely pit bull, searches for food and love from everyone she meets but she’s being ignored and harassed just because she’s a “dangerous“ dog breed.

Finally, she’s got a place where she can called home.

The illustrations are so beautiful! Just get this book when it comes out! It will help in getting people aware about how wonderful pit bulls are. Also, if not convinced yet, you can always watch the Dodo channel at YouTube where there are lots of videos featuring amazing rescued pit bull stories.

Thank you, North Star Editions, for the advance reading copy.

As the owner of two sweet pitties this book gave me so much joy! The art in this book was absolutely adorable with all of the different types and colors of pitbulls. I also just wanted to scoop up Holly and give her all the boops and kisses she deserved.
In all seriousness this book is great. Its not only a great story for young kids that teaches that pitties are sweet and loving dogs and just as valid of a choice as any other breed. Its also a great book for kids that feel different or left out for something. They can see themselves in Holly even if they don't realize it.
This is definitely a book I want not only as a pittie parent but also as the guardian of a young child who doesn't always feel like she fits in.
