Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the free e-audio book in exchange for an honest review.

The narrator, Penelope Rawlins did a fabulous job capturing the personalities and emotion of the characters as she read. I love when narrators are able to immerse me in the book with their variety of emotions and truly bringing the characters to life. Kuddos!!

This is such a twisty, suspenseful, psychological thriller! Joanne is married to Richard and they have a beautiful baby, Evie. They live in a 5 bedroom mansion, and Joanne is a stay at home mom, albeit a bit bored in her perfect life. While Joanne is preparing to go back to work for 2 half days a week, Richard's estranged daughter, Chloe, comes for a visit and ends up moving in. Joanne has never before met Chloe as she stopped speaking to Richard when he married Joanne. Now, Chloe is ready to dive into full family mode and moves in volunteering to be the nanny for her new baby sister. What could go wrong?

There are so many great plot twists and turns with this story that I just had to recharge my airpods and keep going! The characters are well developed and the untrustworthy narrator made this such a nail bitter! I had to keep going to know how it would end. You start out believing that Chloe's initial plan is to gaslight her new stepmom and break up the marriage but I did not see the lengths to which the characters would go!

Very very entertaining! Highly recommend and the audio book is very well done!

I listened to the audio version of this book, and enjoyed it so much! This was one of the best psychological thrillers I have read in a long time. It was gripping from the first page to the last. I seriously could not put it down… THIS is how you write a psychological thriller!! I ate this book up within a couple of hours. There are twists and turns that you never see coming… I kept trying to predict how it would end, and I was shocked at every new event that unfolded. I didn’t know who to trust… I was creeped out… I loved every minute of it! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fast-paced, edge of your seat thriller that will keep you engaged the entire time!

Thank you to NetGalley and DreamScape Media, for the ARC of this audio-book for my honest review.

This novel is a tense domestic thriller. When Richards 21-year-old daughter Chloe, comes to live with his new wife Joanne, and Evie his baby daughter, all hell breaks loose. It is hard to tell who is telling the truth. There are many twists throughout the story. I have to say the characters are frustrating, due to all their issues. Thriller fans will enjoy this.

I really enjoyed the narrator, who kept me engaged and I flew through this book in a day. I would give this a solid 4 star. I will definitely check out Nicola Sanders other novel and her future novels.

Overall, an engaging read. I listened to the audiobook version and enjoyed the narration. The plot is familiar in many ways. One person not being believed, and persuing their belief relentless instead of just gathering actual evidence! The ending was not particularly surprising - is was really a case of either/or - but still an enjoyable book.

When Richard's 20 year old daughter, Chloe, decides to visit and meet her new baby sister, Joanne is thrilled. She does everything she can to welcome Chloe into the fold but it soon becomes apparent that Chloe is putting on a happy face only when Richard is around and contradicting everything Joanne says. Why is Chloe really in town? And when will she leave?

This was quite an entertaining book! I found it hard to put down and sympathized with Joanne, who not only had Chloe to deal with but also a young baby and a husband who was determined to take his daughter's word over hers. Intriguing and twisted, thriller fans will enjoy this one.

Joanne and Richard are newly married with a newborn baby. Richard's daughter from a previous marriage, 20 year old Chloe, Chloe hasn't spoken to her father in 18 months, since he married Joanne, but all of a sudden is coming to stay for a while with the couple. Joanne is finding it hard to settle around Chloe, especially since she seems to be a different person towards her, while she is the perfect to dear daddy.

Don't Let Her Stay was high tension and quite a quick listen. Joanne is an unreliable narrator, so as the listener we never really know what it happening until it is upon us. It's wonderful to read this kind of thriller and have such a satisfying ending.

The audio narrator had the perfect pitch I would expect from a new 'stepford' mum and her voicing of Chloe was spot on to some of my younger teenagers in the family - the bluntness was perfect.

OOOH my goodness!

This was a psychological thriller that takes readers on a wild ride! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Joanne and Richard have an age gap marriage, which to them isn't a big deal. Until his first daughter comes into the picture for the first time since they've been married. Chloe is turning 21, and wants to reunite with her father since she now has a baby sister. Chloe is not the same person in front of Richard as she is in front of Joanne. Richard is beside himself excited that Chloe has returned, and Joanne is convinced that Cleo has it out for her. It seems like every time Joanne is on the path to discovering some truths, the plot takes a completely different turn all the way to the end.

Anyone in the mood for a good thriller that they can devour in one sitting must get their hands on this book. I especially enjoyed the audio format, the narration was just as gripping as the story itself.

Thank you Net Galley and Dream-Scape Media for the ARC audiobook and for the opportunity to give my honest feedback.

Okay this book was a little slow to get into, but once I did I was completely hooked. It was definitely one I’ll remember!

I’ve rarely read a mystery with such great unexpected twists. This was incredibly captivating and had me question the intentions of almost all of the characters, creating a constant tension. I really liked the narrator too! The only point of criticism is that some of the minor details seemed a little unbelievable.

3.75⭐

Featuring ~ single 1st person POV, age gap (19 years), gaslighting

Joanne & Richard are married with a new baby. Richard has a 20 year old daughter from a previous marriage, Chloe, who comes and stays with them while taking a break from school. Chloe is a nightmare and really acting like a pill to her new step-mom. But she's the perfect princess when daddy is around.

The tension is super high in this domestic/psychological thriller. We've got some unreliable narration happening here and it was hard to know who to believe. I was kept engaged and couldn't wait until we got back to the prologue scene. The ending was quite an interesting one.
I'd be interested in reading more from this author in the future.

Narration:
Penelope Rawlins ~ 8 hours 25 minutes ~ fine job for Joanne, but meh with her Chloe voice.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 because I enjoyed the ending a lot but felt that most of the details in the storyline were a bit boring and at times unbelievable (without revealing spoilers, I don't see how some situations might even take place in real life, and still the plot revolves around them). I found myself hating and empathizing for basically every character and this means that the author is great at making you believe anybody could be the villain. The ending is really twisty in a good way, I didn't see that coming.

The narrator has a great voice and is lovely at interpreteing the story, 5 stars for her!

Thank you Netgalley, DreamScape Media, and the author of this audio for allowing me to preview Don’t Let Her Stay.
This is one of the twistiest plots I have read in some time. It keeps you guessing the whole way through.
Joanne and her older husband Richard have a young baby, Evie. Richard also has a grown daughter from a previous marriage named Chloe. Richard and Chloe have been estranged so it is a shock to hear that Chloe is coming to stay with them and wants to be Evie’s nanny.
Chloe is perfect to Richard and horrid behind his back to Joanne. Joanne starts to question her husband when he doesn’t take action or believe anything she says is going on with his daughter and he begins to question her sanity and mental health.
When questions come to light about some past family members’ deaths, things get twisty and you don’t know who to believe. You truly will not know the truth until the very end.
This was a very well narrated title. The writing was exceptional despite a few scenarios that were unrealistic. I would definitely recommend it to fellow readers.

This is the story about a new mom who is more or less happy staying away from the city and her job with her well off husband.
Everything seems to be quite okay until her 20-something stepdaughter comes along and everything is starting to get a real mess.
I have to admit, that I had troubles connecting to the characters and it just was not my cup of tea.

Thanks #NetGalley #Dreamscape Media for this audiobook

A psychological thriller with a surprising ending, Don’t Let Her Stay is centered around a wealthy family; mother, father, step-daughter, and infant baby. On the outside, they seem like a beautiful and happy family, but their family is riddled with secrets – many of which are deadly.

The premise of this book sounds really good, however, the novel left something to be desired. I would have preferred to have more likeable characters in the story – it felt like the majority of the characters were unlikeable and annoying. I was repeatedly frustrated by the way characters handled situations and disagreements – it hardly seemed realistic. The beginning and end of the book held my attention, but throughout the middle I grew bored as things seemed to drag on longer than necessary for a thriller novel.

The best thing that this book has going for it is the unpredictable twists near the end. I especially liked the last chapter and how the book ended – it made me want to know more, to see what happened next. I also liked the setting; I could easily imagine the house they lived in, the grounds, and the surrounding countryside/village. The setting added to the suspense at the end and seemed to elevate the climax.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who is interested in trying out psychological thrillers for the very first time, since it is a “slow burn” type of novel, rather than a fast paced, gripping story.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I found this novel to be an entertaining and twisty story about a new mother being bullied by her husband’s daughter from a previous marriage. I appreciated the main character’s development, though there were times her decisions drove me crazy, as well as the major twists throughout the book. There were certain times I felt scenes dragged on, especially when the characters are under pressure. Would they really take that much time to sit and explain how certain things played out when they are trying to escape a killer?

A stay at home mother, a newborn, a husband and his adult daughter from a previous marriage; what could go wrong?

I listened to this book on audio. The narrator's voice instantly captivates you. The author grabs your attention within moments. Perfectly teamed up.

Just when you think you know what is going on, you have no idea. Everyone has a secret. Who is telling the truth?

I truly enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I already want to read it again.

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for this ARC!
Expected Release date: 3/7/2023

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of Don't Let Her Stay by Nicola Sanders. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Well where do I begin? I listened to the audio book of this one and it was one crazy ride from start to finish. Every time I thought I had it all figured out the plot would take a turn I didn't expect.

Joanne isn't a very likeable character but that worked in this book. She and her older husband Richard have a young baby, Evie. Richard has a 20 year old daughter, Chloe from a previous marriage. Chloe's mother died of cancer, or so Joanne believes.

Chloe shows up, pretty much out of nowhere and says she wants to stay with Richard and Joanne. As soon as she does things start to go badly.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. I truly didn't know what or who to believe.

The Stepdaughter

Joanne and Richard live a good life in a new home with their infant daughter Evie. It was a short courtship but Joanne is happy with her life with Richard except she is a bit overwhelmed with her new baby and a bit lonely in their big home in the country.

Things change a bit when her stepdaughter comes to visit. Her stepdaughter is mean to her and causes much trouble between Joanne and Richard. Then things become very strange. Richard and Chloe seem to be conspiring against her to make her feel like she is losing her mind. How can she get Richard to see that Chloe is trying to drive a wedge between them?

Joanne now feels it is a mistake for Chloe to come and stay with them. She now wishes to have her leave, but how can she ask Richard's daughter to leave as she has been told it is her home and she can stay as long as she wishes? Is she being paranoid? Is it all in her head? Is Evie and herself in danger from Chloe? The ending is unpredictable and surprising.

A chilling thriller that will keep you in suspense. Who is telling the truth and who is lying?
I listened to the audio book and the narrator did a great job. Her voice was pleasant to listen to and very easy to understand. I thought this was a very good book.

Thanks to NIcola Sanders for writing a good book, to Penelope Rawlins for the great narration, to Dreamscape Media for publishing it and to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of the audio book to listen to and review.

This book was very intense and twisted. This book made me question everything until the very end. I did however find the story went on a little too long and become a little drawn out and was a bit of a slow burn but then picked up and had one hell of a twisted ending. I recommend to keep pushing until the end as it is worth it ! I enjoyed my first experience with this author and narrator, the narration by Penelope Rawlins was done very well . Huge thanks to netgally and dremscape media for an advance copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review.
