A cute and quick read. The narrators really kept the story moving. I liked this one I’ll be checking out both the author and the narrators other work.

This is a sequel to another book I really enjoyed. It was a quick ready, especially on audiobook and made me laugh out loud and smile many times. The banter between the two leads and the cast of characters was great! It had Dual POV and Dual Narrator for the audiobook.

Tropes:
- Brothers best friend
- Childhood crush
- Grumpy x sunshine
- Small-town
It also does not have any spicy and is clean.

I really enjoyed it and would recommend this book!

Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for the honest review.

Best friends brother. It was cute and heartwarming, but not too original. I listened to the audiobook and I liked the two narrators.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to review this e-audio arc. It took me a while to finally get around to this book. I wanted to read the first book of the series to gain a better understanding of the potential cameos of the characters from the previous books.

I was really anticipating Luke's and Daisy's relationship. Ever since I read "The Next Worst Thing," I wanted Luke to have a happy ending. And I loved Daisy's interaction in the previous book. I felt like rooting for them both earlier on in the previous book. (Luke was previously engaged to be married, and I don't support cheating, etc.) But considering how things ended, I'm glad they were the FMC/MC for this book.

However, I didn't particularly love them together. While the overall romance between Luke and Daisy was cute and funny, there was just something lacking personally for me. It was a lighthearted read, and I'm glad I gave this series a go. And my biggest regret was picking it up so late. I will be continuing this series.

The Right Wrong Match by Sara Jane Woodley

If you're looking for a cute, sweet, closed-door (actually, there's not even a bedroom), then this is for you! The characters are both really likeable, and the story is fun and quirky. It was very easy to listen while I was crocheting. Super low stakes, no angst, no real conflict, just two cute people! I love a good slow burn, and this was a good one! I loved the mix-up on the dating app, and thought the fact that one of them knew it and the other didn't made the story more exciting than if neither person had realized what was going on. I wanted to speed ahead to get to the reveal, but that's only because I'm not a patient person. lol. The narrators did a great job, although I liked the male better. The female took frequent awkward pauses, which made it hard for me to speed the audio up because getting rid of the long pauses meant she talked way too fast. Oh well, not the biggest issue! This was a solid, fun read and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

Although this book has characters who have appeared earlier in a series, prior knowledge is not required to understand what is happening in this one. I can attest to that fact because I did not realise when I requested the book and only found out later at some point when I looked at Goodreads that the happily-ever-afters of the friends in the stories were the focus of a previous book.
We have both the characters narrate their stories, and both narrators did a great job keeping the plot moving and getting me involved in what might happen next. I think the book could have been a little shorter. There was a point I felt could have better served as the conclusion much earlier than when we finally reached the actual end.
The story is quite straightforward. Daisy is an all-rounder. She has a finger in every pie in town. She does multiple jobs not to make ends meet but because she likes being useful. She has been nursing a crush on her best friend's brother all her life, but given that their family almost adopted her and gave her her childhood's happier memories, she feels like it's a door best left closed. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Luke (the brother/male protagonist) starts to see Daisy in a new light, and he wants to wedge that door open.
The rest of the story is about how the town has a failing economy and what Daisy can do to revive it. The townspeople and Daisy's plans make a very prominent appearance in the plot. I think I enjoyed this more as an audiobook than I would have as a physical copy - there are some comedy-of-errors-like situations which were more fun to listen to.
I am interested in the next in the series, although I am hoping it will not take the easiest route to explain the final couple.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own listening experience.

Daisy has always had a thing for Luke, who is her best friend’s older brother.

When she ends up matching with him in a dating app, at first she doesn’t know it’s him, eventually they realize they both have a thing for each other.

It’s a cute small town romance story, and alternates between Daisy and Luke’s POV.

The hardships of dating now-a-days! This was a super cute story of two single people from a small town who have only had hard times when it comes to dating in the past.

With a good mix of grumpy and sunshine, Luke had no idea that his sister's best friend, Daisy, has had a crush on him all these years. Now with both of them trying a new dating app, their photos aren't revealing at all (a cactus and the back of his head), they make a blind date after really connecting - only for Daisy to find out her invite went out to all her nearby connections!

This is a non-stop romcom that will keep you engaged and laughing. All the quirky characters will keep you up wondering what is going to happen next!

Luke is Daisy's best friend's older brother, a well overdone trope, but we're sometimes here for it. Daisy is the epitome of hustle culture, which I also hate, because we should be able to make a living wage from one job. Politics aside, these two were a little messy. Luke is reeling from being left at the altar. Daisy is just kind of sad. When they meet on a dating app under false names and pretenses, only one of them realizes it's the other. Obviously, a little chaos ensues.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet romance with long time friends becoming lovers. Luke and Daisy were a sweet couple and them starting the relationship on a dating app using fake names was super cute and shows how they were destined to be. The small town aspects of this book was adorable and quaint as well.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. First off the narrator did a good job.
The story itself well it was just a bit meh. I got half way in and just nothing was happening yet. I feel like the dialogue was very cheesy and very unrealistic from the males part especially. The main female and male character were cute but I just didn't feel a connection with them. If you like small local rom com (friends to romance) type novels you will like this one.

Loved this easy fun listen!

The main characters, Daisy & Luke are cute and likable. All characters are portrayed beautifully by the narrators. Great job!

Loved the dating plot and although a little predictable this was still a fun & lovely novel.

This is my first read by this author & I now understand that was a book prior to this which is like to now listen too.

If you like a fun, easy romcom/ chicklit then I thoroughly recommend.

Thanks Netgalley, the publisher , Sara Jane Woodley & the fab narrators for allowing me this advance copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This was cute and a fast read. I forgot to mark it as read so there was a moment where I forgot if I had read it or not. But once I remembered I thought it was a great light read for when you just want fun with low stakes. The characters were likeable and it wasn't all easy romance, they did grow and learn to be a better couple. I do remember there were points it was annoying if they just talked to each other their conflict was easily avoided but it wasn't so annoying to overshadow the whole book. Overall it was okay.

The Right Wrong Match
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Rom Com
Author: Sara Jane Woodley
GR: 3.90

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

My Thoughts: This is the second book in the Love in Mirror Valley series. I have read both, however, this can be read as a standalone. This was such a cute love story of two people who always knew each other but the timing was always off. This story followed several tropes: friends to lovers, grumpy v sunshine, small town, best friend’s brother, and miscommunication (not a big part but does play a part).

The narrators were great, easy to listen to, great voice variation, and just gave life to the characters in the book, bringing you along for the story. The story is narrated by both Daisy and Luke. The reason there were so many tropes weaved throughout the novel is Daisy is going through the traditional romance novel tropes to find her true love. Luke’s prior engagement ended when she fled and he played the grumpy card well. I loved the background dating app connection, as their real connection was blossoming. We also get an appearance from Ivy and James, from the first book, which I loved. The characters were developed well, amazing witty banter, chemistry, had a great connection, and creative. The author’s writing style was complex, humorous, flowed well, and brilliant.

I loved this second installment in the Love in Mirror Valley series and cannot wait to read the third book, The Real Fake Fiancé, that releases on 7/6/23. I highly recommend picking up this book, or any book in the series. The series is available in KU.

This was an unexpectedly adorable book. It started a little slow for me, but the characters were incredibly likable to me and I was pulling for them! I’ve already gotten another in the series.

I accidentally read this one out of order. It’s the second book in Sara Jane Wood lets Love in Mirror Valley series. The first book features Daisy’s best friend Ivy. The Right Wrong Match follows Luke and Daisy. They are good friends who are unknowingly chatting to each other in a dating website. Luke realises quicker than Daisy but allows their relationship to grow naturally.

This was a quick listen on audio with easy to listen to narrators. There was a subplot around financial misconduct that I think could have been skipped or equally more made of it but it was a bit anti-climactic in the grand scheme of the story.

This was a nice twist on the friends to lovers, dating site, hidden identity romance.

This book was honestly just okay for me nothing really made it stand out from anything else I've been reading. Luke and Daisy are fine characters and their romance is cute but nothing really stood out for me. Solid 3 stars not bad but not really great.
