This is my first book by this author, so I was quite intrigued, but I absolutely adored the romcom cover and description so I was absolutely pumped to get into this book.
The female lead was absolutely amazing and I loved her, and the male lead was actually really cool and relatable. I absolutely adored the relationship. And how they become friends and then lovers. This is a small town romance and I loved some of the scenes even though I had secondhand embarrassment. I think the character progression from the start to the end of the book is amazing and I love how they grew together. The act three conflict wasn’t absolutely awful, which is great, because sometimes the act three conflicts can ruin a whole book, but I did absolutely adore this book and I will be reading more from this author as it was cute. It was fun. It was fluffy and it picked me up of a reading slump so I would 100 percent recommend

Sara Jane Woodley is a new-to-me author. I came across her newest book, “The Right Wrong Match,” and thought it sounded perfect. I then learned (by following her on Instagram) that it was not the first in the series. I gained access to all the previous books, so I could read them in the order they were meant. One week. That’s it. It took me one week to read them all!! I absolutely loved getting to know the folks of Mirror Valley. I am excitedly awaiting the next in the series to be released.
Sara Jane Woodley writes “closed-door romances,” which means her characters are relatable and real, but the bedroom activities remain behind closed doors. While you can relate to the characters, you are not pulled into their extra activities. I appreciate this as I listened to the series and was around my son.
When I read the synopsis, I was hooked. “I didn’t ask to have a hopeless (and unrequited) crush on my best friend’s grumpy older brother. For years, I’ve had feelings for Luke Brooks, but it’s time to move on – I’m on a mission to find my perfect match and secure my very own happily-ever-after.” You’re hooked, too; I can tell. Go ahead and give this book a read and be sure to let me know what you think of it.

This book was even better than the first book in the series! The narration was fantastic and really brought the characters personalities and emotions to life. The plot though was really good. Take one woman who has had an unrequited crush on her best friend's older brother since high school who finally decides it is time to get over it and move on then toss the best friend's older brother into the storyline with him getting over his great heartbreak and you have a fun rom com that is just waiting to take a turn for the better! Add in that our delightful Daisy is a rom com enthusiast and has a list of rom com situations that she is going to use to try and find her "Mr. Right" and you have giggles and entertainment for hours! I really can't wait to see what happens next in Mirror Valley!!!

Story by Sara Jane Woodley ⭐⭐⭐
This was an ok story of two people who have known each other for years suddenly falling inlove.
This is the first time I've tried this author and while I found this book ok (it's very run of the mill) if try another book by Sara Jane Woodley

so let's first off start by saying that I did not read this book but got the audiobook version
2nd is part of a series (and can be read as a stand-alone) Book#2 (and wanna go read Book#1 now)
Also can't wait for the next Book in this series (hello Noah & D).
Ok now for the review....
This was such an adorable story
Loved that the audiobook had both male and female narrators (Narrated by Justis Bolding and David Bendena), this always makes the story come to life better for me and I enjoy it.
Close to each other, bad timing, a dating app, and work adventures is what's in this book with a few other things
Def keeps your attention and you keep wanting to see what happens with these 2 next
The dating app was def fun to add to this book and I loved that it had a few malfunctions that created some drama but it wasn't all bad drama or chaos.
Feel good, clean, sweet romantic story of finding love and what might be right in front of you.
Highly recommend this book (or audiobook) to all romance readers, even for YA readers in my opinion.
Had a smile on my face for most of this book!
I was given the opportunity to get an ARC audiobook of the book from NetGalley and I am thankful for that, so glad that I read it. My opinions and thoughts above are my own, honest, and voluntary.

This is book #2 but I was able to follow along without having read the first book, but I will look into getting a copy.
This was a very cute read with a different take on online dating and finding your true match. This was a fun listen (audiobook) with lots of little quirky, sweet, and funny parts. The main characters were lots of fun and really had you routing for a good outcome. Daisy was quite funny with her dating idea by using typical romance novel tropes to find men and check them off her list.
I enjoyed the dual povs and I felt that it really advanced the story to give both sides of the story. Especially with what had happened to Luke before this storyline and his inner thoughts on his situations. This book was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait until the next story comes out!
I enjoyed the narrator’s voice, and it was well read.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for this copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars
Thank you to NetGalley for a free e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I liked the story, I thought it was a cute and light romance with no spice. I wish I cared a bit more about the story, by 75% I was kinda done and didn't care as much about what happened. I liked the idea of the book and the beginning but I think it was a little too simple for me with how the characters came together, I like it better when there is more tension. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it.

2.5 stars!
"The Right Wrong Match" by Sara Jane Woodley is a grumpy/sunshine, small-town, best friend's brother, dual POV romance where all the characters are way too pure to be or feel even remotely realistic. That's my main issue with it. The characters are in no way, shape, or form, lifelike or born from reality. They are way too bubblegum to feel like authentic humans. They are way, way too oblivious to everything! There are hardly any stakes until the book's last act, and by then, we have no doubt that the main characters, Daisy and Luke, will choose each other no matter what, rendering said stakes null and void. There's no mystery, no intrigue, no suspense, nada. None of the side plots go anywhere interesting. Because this is such a "clean" book, it felt to me like the characters had little to no chemistry. They don't even kiss until 65% or so through the story! This book is the definition of "fluff." It's saccharine-sweet and way too pure of heart for my corrupted soul. Luckily, it's a quick read via audiobook, so I didn't feel like I wasted my time reading it. The narrators, Justis Bolding and David Bendena, do a good job bringing the characters to life, but there's not a ton there to work with. Lots of young people will eat this one up.
Thank you to NetGalley, Sara Jane Woodley, and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an ARC copy of this book! All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for my review.

Daisy has several jobs, she’s extremely organized and she’s the town’s people-pleaser. She is also a perpetual first-date attendee. Luke, Daisy’s best friend’s brother, is also well-know in their hometown, though being left at the altar by his high school sweetheart could have something to do with that. Daisy and Luke have always been friendly (and ok, maybe she did have a tiny crush on him in high school), but they’re forced to spend a little extra time together when accidentally paired up to take charge of a campaign to save the city’s community center.. and it’s going better than they thought it would.

This book was a part of a series by Sara Jane Woodley, the storyline of the prequel and hints of the sequel both prominent in the plot, but not overbearingly. I do think this could be read as a stand-alone, which is what I did. The plot was very cute and the characters were likeable. I enjoyed seeing both MCs reach healthy closure within themselves with the support of the other. There were a few tropes here that all intertwined - the dating app “fake identity” being one of them, and the main reason for Luke realizing he likes Daisy. I thought this plot point should’ve been played out a bit more, because it was more interesting than the “forced proximity” of them having to work together on the singles events. I wasn’t invested in the relationship between the MCs as much as I would’ve liked, but the ending was cute and full-circle.

The narration on this audiobook did a good job with energy levels, but I feel that there was a mismatch with the age(s) of the characters and the maturity of the voices.

Overall, this was a good and quick PG-13 rom-com. (3.5 stars)

This book fits its series so well. The romance was so sweet and had me fangirling multiple times. Listening to the two narrators really had me enveloped in the story, and had me distracted on my walks multiple times. I thought both main characters grew substantially throughout the story, both together and individually. I am looking forward to the next one to see how the next couple evolves.

Luke and Daisy were so fun to watch fall in love! They were funny, sweet and the twist in the story is also adorable! All around such a great couple to take this journey with!
I thoroughly enjoyed this rom-com and definitely rooted for Luke and Daisy!

Super sweet story of Lucas and Daisy. Luke is Daisy’s best friend’s brother, and she has outgrown her crush on him…. Right? They’re unknowingly matched on a dating website after a few disastrous dates for Daisy. There’s an awesome cast of supporting characters, and room for more romance I ahead!
Not spicy at all, just a precious story where the curmudgeon actually hides a heart of gold.

I did enjoy this sweet RomCom. My only problem is that it is too short. I'm impressed at how much I did like it even though everything was going on pretty fast. A major issue with this is that all the conflict set-ups seem to just vanish in thin air without a proper resolution. Although I do applaud the novel for not succumbing to melodramatic tropes to its conflicts, I would have liked SOME acknowledgment of them before we move on. examples: <spoiler> when we find out that he didn't tell his ex-fiance that they were together, I don't want a huge thing about it, but maybe talk a little about it before we move on! or the whole catfish scenario, that was just dropped without even addressing it </spoiler>
Even with this major gripe, I did like this quite a lot and would recommend it to fans of sweet romance.
The Audiobook has dual narrators which is always a plus for me!

This was an adorable, very clean rom com. This book addressed online dating in a positive light. This is the book if you're looking for a light- hearted romance.

Sweet best friends brother romance. It was so sappy but in a good way! There really weren’t many conflicts and it avoided the third act breakup so it was totally just fluff. I listened to it as an audiobook which I definitely recommend! I didn’t realize it was the second book in a series until I had already started it but it works fine as a stand-alone as well! Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

This was such a cute, clean romance book. If you are looking for spice, this definitely isn't your go-to, but sometimes I just want a wholesome story. This fits the bill.
I love a grumpy MC and add in him being the best friend's brother.. I'm sold! I love how they were thrown together to handle single events for the town. I also loved the little twist too.
The narrators were great! No complains.

First, thank you to First off, thanks to NetGalley and the audiobook publisher, Dreamscape Media, for letting me listen to an advance copy of Sara Jane Woodley's novel, The Right Wrong Match. Narration was performed by Justis Bolding and David Bendena.
I really enjoyed getting to listen to this story. I enjoy romance novels and read a lot of them. I don't mind the predictable pacing and patterns, especially when its a novel like this one where the characters and plot are just unique enough that while you see a turn coming you're excited to watch it happen. The perspective of the book goes back and forth between the two leads, so you get to watch the misunderstandings build from both sides. I loved that we got to hear both views, and the two narrators did a fantastic job of giving voice to the characters. It was a sweet contemporary romance in a good small town drama setting.
I'd recommend this as a nice cozy romance for anyone who enjoys tropes with small towns, unrequited crushes, and a dash of sunshine and grump.
#TheRightWrongMatch #NetGalley

This is a super cute, sweet romance that shows how opposites attract. I fell in love with Daisy and Luke and enjoyed watching their relationship evolve. The book uses a lot of familiar tropes, but the book never became dull. The humor is extremely funny and the narrators did a great job of bringing the story to life. I would definitely recommend this book to those who live a good romantic comedy. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Daisy has been in love with her best friend's brother, Luke, for most of her life. He was in a committed relationship for virtually his entire adulthood. A year after he was left at the alter, he is thinking about dating again. He uses a new app. When his match, Cece wants to meet, he is shocked to find it is Daisy. She doesn't know he is Aaron though.
There a a couple side plots but they are underdeveloped and quickly resolved. Unfortunately this fell flat for me.

Daisy is accidentally volunteered to play Cupid and plan singles’ events in her small hometown, and her one time crush, Luke is forced to assist her. Luke is also her best friend’s grumpy older brother, and Daisy is sure she’s outgrown her childhood feelings for him, until the start spending so much time together.
The Right Wrong Match is a clean, sweet romantic comedy filled with great characters and an adorable dog! Easy to listen to and hard to stop, it’s very uplifting and hopefully.
