I really liked this rom-com. I feel like towards the end of any good rom-com there is a HUGE miscommunication or break up or just something that does NOT need to happen. This one was not like that. All their problems or hesitations were so relatable. It still has the usual rom-com quirks with the small town and all the people who live there. I also did not read the first one in this series, but didn't really think I needed to. In the beginning, I was having a hard time figuring out who was who. At first, I thought Luke was Daisy's brother and knew that was so wrong but once I was a few chapters in I figured it all out.
Thanks Netgalley for this audiobook!

“I’m only nice to you”.
for those of us who love the grumpy/sunshine trope. Here we have a perfect example. We have a little bit of many different tropes. Dating app, fake dating, friends to lovers, best friends brother. I live for all of these.
This was a lighthearted story that had many funny moments & very likable characters. Definitely a book to pull you out of a reading slump. It’s told In dual POV.
Daisy is relatable and quirky, awkward and had such a bubbly existence. Luke is everything. He’s very serious; and seeing someone break down barriers is always heart fluttering .
I highly recommend this feel good book. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to experience this book.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and Sara Jane Woodley for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
There’s so many stories out there of people dating their best friends brother but this one was super enjoyable! Right from the beginning I enjoyed the story and the mystery behind what happened with the money and was also invested in Luke and Daisy bring together.
I definitely recommend reading this!

This was my first read by Woodley and it won’t be my last. This story captured my attention and held it until the very end. This book, for me, is like that comfy sweater you put on on a cold winter night, or rainy Sunday afternoon. It’s like the feelings you get from being wrapped up in a warm bear hug. I found myself laughing at various times during the story and doing imaginary faceplants at other times – as that’s how relatable these characters are.
Daisy and Luke are strong, sweet, well-developed characters who drew me in and had me pulling for them as individuals and as a couple. This story has twists and turns, but they are all part of what makes this story so enjoyable and fun. I read this book as a stand-alone and didn’t feel like I was missing anything, although the previous couple are in this story as well. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and reading the previous one.
I listened to this book on audio and loved it. The narrators did a good job.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Right Wrong Match
By Sara Jane Woodley
Format: 🎧 audiobook arc
Pub day: March 7/23
This is the second book in the Love in Mirror Valley series. As in the first one, Sara Jane Woodley has created a sweet and fun romance. There were moments where I laughed which I always appreciate.
In this story we meet Daisy and Luke. Daisy is a sweet girl who is dedicated to her community and works hard to help it be successful. Luke, her best friend’s big brother, is an accountant whom Daisy has always had a thing for. With the help of a dating app and a messaging flaw they learn that they actually may have a relationship worth pursuing.
I gave this book three stars based on the format of it being an audiobook. I love audiobooks because I believe they really add to the story and, although I enjoyed both of the narrators, I didn’t think they went together well nor did they add a lot to the story. There were times I found myself getting bored and wanting to skip forward. I also felt the female character sounded much too young for the male character.
Overall the story is cute in a Hallmark movie kind of way. There is not much substance to the characters and it seemed like there were gaps in the story that could have been elaborated on which may have helped. Still if you are looking for a cute romcom give it a read.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook arc.

What a sweet little weekend audiobook listen! Daisy and Luke were such human, loveable and genuine characters - it was a joy to read (or listen to) their love story. The dual narration was brilliant, such a lovely touch that really made you feel as though each of the characters were their own personalities.

While this was cute ultimately it was a bit too bubblegum for me. It was a quick read but very predictable and the conflict (will they or won't they work it out) was hardly a conflict. There were certainly a few moments that made me laugh and it was a very ahppily ever after. The romance was not very romantic but it was sweet. It just wasn't for me.

I really enjoyed the way this book was written. It's definitely a friends to lovers script but that is usually where it ends. This book has more depth and storyline to it. I found myself invested in all the characters and their development throughout. It also had a great lead in to a continued series option that made me immediately want to know what's going to happen next. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who appreciates lighthearted love stories with some depth to them. I look forward to reading more of Sara Jane Woodley's work.
Also, I really liked the narrators on this audiobook.

If you are looking for a light-hearted, predictable, and non-spicy romance, this might be for you!
Daisy has known Luke pretty much her whole life. He is her best friend's older brother and off limits. He was jilted on his wedding day and isn't ready to date. However, when they both end up unknowingly chatting on a dating app...things can change.
I thought this book was cute and predictable with likable characters, but just wasn't for me. I could have used more character development, and a few more trials or bumps along the way. Everything wraps up a little too sweetly. However, if an easy friends-to-lovers romance is what you are looking for, give it a try.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC audiobook in exchange for a review!

Thanks to NetGalley and all for an ARC for an honest review.
This is a sweet story of friends discovering their love for each other. While the relationship is cute there isn't much else going on for plot to keep the reader interested. There a a couple side plots but they are underdeveloped and quickly resolved. Unfortunately this fell flat for me.

I really enjoyed this light romance. The plot reminded me of a Hallmark movie and would be a great series! All the characters were pleasant and likable. I didn't realize it was a series until I was finished with this one but I would read another one to see how the story continues in this small town and how the relationships develop further.

Thank you to netgalley and dreamscape media for this advance audiobook copy of The Right Wrong Match in exchange for an honest review.
This could have been such a cute story because I found the characters quite likeable.
However i didn't really feel the connection and Chemistry between Luke & Daisy at all. The story didn't hold my interest.
In my opinion it wasn't as good as the first book in the series. Hoping the next one is much better as I'm looking forward to it.

i'm gonna start saying, thanks to the author and thanks to NetGalley for the arc, in exchange for an honest review.
WOW, this book is just amazing is a total cliché grump X sunshine and she fall first but he falls harder.
In a wedding Luke sees his friend's sister Daisy, who always have a crush on him and has some pendencies in the past. This reunion and a series of events make Luke and daisy work together. And with this Luke sees himself fall more and more for her, while Daisy is still in doubt whether to approach or not.
The romance in this book is sooo good flufly and all of this, the writing is fliud and amazing, i really needed this after read a book a book that sucked everything out of me, and this book make me get out of the literary hangover.
This a second book of a trilogy and i didn't read the first one and yet i was still able ton understand.
Congrats Author, i'm looking foward to read the next one.

This book is fun and flirty and romantic and just everything I look for in a good romantic comfort read: two small-town friends who think they have all the reasons to not be together but who are so obviously meant to be, nosy neighbors who feel the right to be in everyone's business, best friend's older brother, small town shenanigans, eccentric personalities, and everything one could possibly want in a great story.
Luke and Daisy are adorable together in that perfect, rom-com way that opposite personalities are. Luke is a growly loner who likes to keep to himself, while Daisy is the bubbly one always in the middle of everything. They've known each other for what feels like forever because Luke is Daisy's best friend's older brother. But the timing never worked for them until the anonymity of a dating app shows them that there's a chance for more in their relationship.
An excellent narration by Justis Bolding and David Bendena brings the characters and their little town to life in a way that I feel really upped the reading (listening) experience for me on this one and just might have pushed it to the full five-star rating. The writing by Woodley does a lot of the work, but both Bolding and Bendena impressed me with how well they modulate their voices to fit the emotions and scenes.
Overall, it's an incredibly sweet and romantic pick-me-up that's well worth the read.
Very happy thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the romantic listen!

This book was cute, I thought it was very a basic romance book. I loved that it was lighthearted and had a good story. For a romance, I thought the characters were very service level and I wished the characters felt more significant.

3.5 Stars (Rounded Up)
This is a very standard modern romance novel, which is complimentary and perhaps, to a lesser degree, not complimentary.
Full disclosure, I didn’t read the first book, to which The Right Wrong Match is the second of the series. But this seemed to stand alone pretty well. I had no problem getting to know the characters and following the story. This is your typical small town romantic story: cozy, agreeable, charming banter, typical unassumingly lovely FMC, + a variety of side characters. These are additions we all love in our favorite rom-com stories.
Yet… there is little here that makes it stand-out from this very crowded field. This is the Wonder bread of love stories - fine, no surprises, but also nothing really unique. What should be dramatic climaxes within this story are not very dramatic nor very climatic. The characters are quirky, seemingly, at times, for quirky’s sake.
This is a soft and sweet, but not very memorable story.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for this free review copy!

I loved this sweet romcom. It was a great narrator and fast read. Characters were fun and engaging. I loved that she was trying to see which trope was a good match for her and one fell into her lap.

This was my first Sara Jane Woodley and it was so cute! I loved Daisy and Luke. She definitely got a rom-com trope list done under Best friend's brother lol. Also, I loved the side characters her sister Dee and Noah (I want their love story!!) Daisy made me laugh a lot throughout the story her passion for her community and the community center to keep it open was so lovely. Luke ugh he was so sweet and deep down I think he knew he had always cared for Daisy more than just his sister's best friend she was the sunshine to him the only exception. Overall this was a cute light and fun read. Also, their love for ABBA was so adorable

This was a sweet, charming small town, dual POV, friends to lovers romance with a fun anonymous dating app element that I enjoyed a lot. If you're in the mood for something light-hearted and feel good that will make you smile this is definitely it. Good on audio too! Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
