I enjoyed this book and there were many positives. I liked the strong main character who ends up doing some shady stuff but is almost driven to it. I thought the husband was too good to be true and yes, of course he was.
I felt it could have been a little shorter but I mostly enjoyed the flow of the story. I guessed who the culprit was at the end as although not the connection.
Thanks for the opportunity to read and review, I would give another book by this author a go happily.

I really enjoyed this one! All the deception and gaslighting. There were a lot of characters, so I think I lost a big of track of them on the audiobook - might of been better if I was reading the actual book.
The ending got a bit crazy for me. It came out of left field for me. Again, though, not sure if I would've picked up on more if I had actually read the book instead of listened to the audiobook. It's one I'm considering buying a physical copy and re-reading at some point.

If you like domestic thrillers with unreliable narrators, then this book might be for you. Unfortunately, I found the characters unlikable, which is for me too much of a deal breaker. I also feel like the book could’ve been significantly shorter without the story suffering.

𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦!
A domestic thriller that will keep you at the edge of your seat and turning pages. I loved the twists and turns, it kept me guessing and it was so fast-paced that it was impossible to stop. Loved it!
Thank you Books Forward and NetGalley for this gifted copy.

I liked how the book opened with the mistress being missing and the MC accusing the husband. Then it goes back to the beginning where she found out her husband was cheating. I was interested in the story, but it was pretty clear early on that one of the characters was the culprit. And it was confirmed at the end which was disappointing. Overall the book was ok. The writing was good, I just felt like the story could've been better and not so predictable.
Thank you to NetGalley, Marie Still and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Cass Mitchell, an advertising executive, has a loving marriage and two beautiful children until one day, she doesn’t. Cass receives a message from her husband’s mistress, and her world comes crashing down. Her husband’s mistress now seems to be stalking her, and Cass worries that through it all, her own secrets will come to light.
There are 3 POVs, one being Cass’ personal assistant, which was suspicious as she didn’t seem integral to the plot. I struggled with the narration of Cass; it was read without much emotion. I wasn’t a huge fan of Cass and her outlandish behavior, so I didn’t care what happened to her and her marriage. A little backstory early on to get readers invested in her/her marriage would’ve been a huge benefit.
Thank you to NetGalley, Rising Action Publishing, Dreamscape Media for the audiobook.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review.
This just did not do it for me. I lost interest about halfway through the audiobook. It is much more of a family drama than a thriller. The characters were unlikable and a bit repetitive. I may give it another go but just was not invested in the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for my audiobook arc. This story caught my attention early on. I could tell there was something shady with one of narrators and was vibing with it.
Unfortunately the plot felt mostly boring after a promising start. I didn’t feel invested in the main character’s lives.
Then the ending came and I am just really not a fan of the twist being that the villain is a long lost family member. I feel like it’s very played out. The ending was not predictable, I will say that.
This is a 2.5 read for me. Just not the top notch thriller I was hoping for. I did enjoy the audiobook production.

We're all lying - Marie Still
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an eARC of this psychological thriller.
This novel opens as Cass, married for most of her adult life to her husband Ethan, has just discovered Ethan has had an affair with someone (Emma) that Cass works with. When Emma disappears and Cass becomes a suspect, things quickly begin to unravel as an unheard of foster sister wrecks havoc in Cass' life.
Unfortunately, I didn't find and of the characters particularly likeable...

I was SO excited to listen to this audiobook & the first few chapters had me hooked. It was filled with all the domestic thrillers things like betrayal, obsession, stalking, & cheating— but somewhere along the way it just stopped working for me. I think when the book was at 50% I was already tired of the back & forth drama & how predictable everything was. I had a very hard time knowing who I was even rooting for, if anyone at all, because not a single character was likable including Cass. I didn’t feel like I was reading about 40 something adults, the way most of the characters behaved & talked made them sound like teenagers & it really turned me off. There were little bits of info we were given from each character that I thought would turn into more & then it felt like they went nowhere. Super bummed but this book just wasn't for me.

Synopsis: Everything in Cass’s life is going exactly as planned- she has a successful career, a gorgeous husband, and two incredible kids. This perfect life comes crumbling down, though, when she learns that her husband, Ethan, has been cheating on her. What’s what’s worse, his mistress is now stalking and harassing Cass. But Cass wouldn’t go so far as to kill the woman to make it stop, would she?

Review: I haven’t read a thriller in over two years, and I am so glad that the first one I picked up after that drought was this one!
Let’s start with the characters- they are archetypal, but they are also complex and individual. Still did a great job giving each person, even beyond the main characters, substance and space. I loved Julia as a supporting character and felt she was such a great addition to balance out the chaos of Cass, Ethan, Emma, and Alice. She definitely felt like a grounding force in the story.
The plot felt a little simple at times, but I appreciate that in a domestic thriller. Plus, the twists genuinely shocked me and kept me engaged in the back half of the book. The “who-dun-it” was a little predictable, but the twists that came before and alongside it were genuine twists that shocked me!
I highly recommend the audiobook version of this! I listened in my car on my commutes and wish I had a dash cam to show how often I rolled my eyes, gasped, chuckled, and raged. I remain shocked that this is a debut novel from Still, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.

Finished this audio book and it was pretty good. I liked the story but it was a little out there in the ending. Overall I would enjoy checking out more by this author.

I feel like the thrill has gone out of thrillers for me these days and this is a perfect example of that. The plot and characters were kind of all over and I would call it more a domestic drama than a thriller looking back on it.
Cassandra’s husband has an affair and Cass finds out because his mistress sends him an email with details and pictures. Cass snaps and throws a fit and tries to figure out what to do with herself and her marriage. Then we find out that the mistress, Emma, has gone missing and everyone has a motive and had opportunity to be involved. It played out like a soap opera, especially the second half of the book. It got repetitive and predictable.
The narration was fairly well done. Not my favorite but definitely better than some of others I’ve listened to. Thanks to Rising Action Publishing Collective and NetGalley for this audiobook arc in exchange for my review.

Cass appears to have the perfect life: a thriving career, two wonderful children, and a dashing husband. However, when she receives an email from her husband's mistress, Emma, the facade of perfection crumbles, triggering a series of events that bring buried secrets to the surface. Emma's harassment soon becomes much more sinister, and despite Cass and Ethan's attempts to move on, Emma goes missing. As the investigation progresses, Cass finds herself no longer a victim but a prime suspect, with her own dark secrets threatening to unravel everything they've worked so hard to achieve. This gripping psychological thriller with jaw-dropping plot twists delves into the dark world of hidden family secrets, exploring how desperation can lead to fatal errors when we're all hiding something.

Overall this was a really good read. It’s a little difficult for me to review without giving away spoilers. The story moves along at a great pace and has many many twists. Is main character, Case, being stalked or is it something else? If she is being stalked, who is the actually stalker? Secrets, secrets and more secrets. Is anyone who they really claim to be. This was a butt clenching story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Some of the twists were a little over the top and went too far, but that’s okay! It’s just part of reading a fictional story. I will definitely look for other works by this talented author.

fast-paced, mysterious, and complex! New author for me and was happily surprised with how much I liked this genre! Would recommend!

Unexpected twists and turns! This was a great read and would be a perfect poolside read this summer. Some of this was semi-predictable, but the way it unfolds certainly was not. Great narration, and a greatly enjoyable listen.

Written very well with believable reactions and thoughts by characters but this book just wasn't for me, never totally piqued my interest because I have read too many similar titles. That being said, I will recommend this one to those who also enjoy domestic thriller and suspense novels, unearthing secrets and the like.

I really tried to finish this audio, but I couldn't find it in me.
It was a rocky start from the beginning.
But the reall issue I had was the audio. The story in itself was mediocre, at least up to the part where I had to DNF.
The way this was narrated was honestly unpleasant. Everything sounded robotic and not something an actual person would say. Especially when it came to the dialogue.
Again, I really tried to finish this and find something to I liked about it. But unfortunately I couldn't.

**Audiobook**
I like how the cast is diverse. The cast did a great job portraying the characters specially the male lead. I just had a few monotonous moment with one narrator. Maybe that person could have been coached more to be more “in the feels”. There would be some moments when it was intense but she would narrate it flatly. I know for sure that
the author didn’t write that dialogue to be flat.
But other than that story is great!
