Let’s see what can I say about this debut novel. First of all, the synopsis is misleading. I liked the very beginning; It made me feel bad for Cass; she was likable; She was a strong businesswoman with a successful business. It all went downhill after she got that email. The way she acted afterward was overly dramatic, unhinge. There were many repetitive things, and I knew when the words “you see, she is the crazy one!” were about to come up. It was predictable; I think adding Alice made a disappointment for this story that had some potential. The ending made me roll my eyes.

Thank you Netgalley & Dreamscape media for an ALC of We're all Lying by Marie Still. This one started off with a bang. I love books where everyone has seemingly perfect lives, only to discover their deepest secrets. I also love the stalking/obsession trope. That being said, I struggled a little bit with the narration on this one - definitely had to speed it up. This one was an OK read for me and I am looking forward to seeing what else this author comes up with next!

A woman gets an email pictures included telling her her husband is cheating and she desperately wants to keep the life she has cultivated but when the mistress goes missing she is the first accused. Now I didn’t do a lavish summary for the book because so many people have already done a better job than I could’ve ever done what I will say is this book is OMG, OMG, wow if we counted all the people in the book and then added that to their personalities we would have an astronomical number. It seems everyone in this book has an alternate ego and some have more than one. This book starts at high velocity and doesn’t let up until the very last twist. If you love thrillers especially fun OMG thrillers the new definitely love this book! I thought I had it all figured out but I wasn’t even close. I definitely highly recommend this book I received this book from NetGalley and dreamscape media but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review

In honor of this thriller being released today I wanted to share my thoughts! Big thanks to NetGalley and dreamscape media for the ARC.
This is Marie’s debut novel and I thought it was a very entertaining and a quick thriller.
This thriller begins in present day giving you a glimpse of what is to come, but quickly is set back in time and bounces from different characters perspectives.
Cass is a wife, mom of 2, and successful local business owner. Cass appears to have the perfect life and everything going well, but we all know that this is too good to be true. However, when Cass learns that her perfect husband is cheating on her, that is only the start to the lies that begin to be uncovered. Cass’ entire world is about to disintegrate, but it looks like Cass’ husband is not the only one with secrets and someone is going to end up dead, but who?
This thriller quickly grabbed my attention and I’m only a matter of 3 days finished it. I listened to the audio book and did enjoy the multi cast, but did not like who narrated Cass, who to me sounded very robotic. Although I did guess some of the twists and turns, there was one surprise in the ending I did not see coming.
I am looking forward to see what Marie writes next.

📖 We’re All Lying
📖 Marie Still
📖 The premise really intrigued me, I was really excited for this ARC from #netgally
📖 I did enjoy it, but the narrators were not my favorite, the reading felt very jolty and lacked the appropriate intonation for the emotions being portrayed. Like, “oh. no. a. bear.” Instead of “OH NOO A BEAR!!!” (There are no bears in this book 😂)
📖 I guessed the plot twist within the first 1/4 of the book, so that was a bit disappointing
📖 I did like that all of the characters were flawed in their own ways, no one is perfect and everyone lies

I finished this one on March 7th. I am beyond sad to say that I did not love this book, it’s not the worst book I’ve ever read. I was pulled in quickly, but then in the middle it did kind of dip a little bit. Once we got to the end it seemed to be a little rushed. This one was narrated by 3 people, the main narrator for Cass, who narrates the majority of the book, 📕 was a little too robotic. I think my enjoyment of the book lacked a bit from that. I would have liked less of the middle and more of the end. I did predict the who done-it, but the why was surprising, and saved this a little for me. Even though I didn’t love this one I was still intrigued and entertained through the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape audio for the ALC of "We're All Lying" by Marie Still. I was hooked from the first chapter!
Cass had the perfect life. Yes...past tense. HAD! She had a handsome husband, she had a thriving career, and, ok...she still has two children who adore her. That is until she opens an e-mail that sends her picture-perfect life into a tailspin. As her world slowly caves in on her, Cass is about to find out just how low she'll stoop to make sure she keeps what's rightfully hers. Her husband, and her life.
Her husbands mistress, Emma, must have horns she's hiding beneath her long black hair because that women is of the devil. She made my blood boil in ways I didn't know it could and I seriously wanted to jump into the pages and throttle her before anyone else had the chance. Common sense is not in her vocab.
Not to say any of the characters had many redeeming qualities. This was a definite dark read, and it's in the POV from 3 characters - Cass, her husband (Ethan), and Cass' assistant (Alice) who's super creepy. I wish I was able to hear Emma's POV too - which I guess we kind of were able to near the end of the story through the lens of Cass and Ethans daughter...(have I said too much??)
There were a few twists I saw coming, and a big one I didn't! I love when books take me where I don't expect, but not to the point of being a bit outlandish. This book definitely walked that fine line, but I still really enjoyed all the drama that unfolded.
Overall, I give this twisted debut thrilled a 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4)

Finally finished this audiobook. This book was very slow. I gave it 2 stars because it intrigued me enough to keep reading it but I kept waiting for the plot twist which didn’t come until the last hour and when it did come it was underwhelming. The narrator for Cass read the part very robotically and it was hard to listen to. Perhaps if I had read a physical copy I would hav enjoyed it more

First of all, the narrator for Cass is very robotic like and it really leaves no emotion really so that’s a downside for me. The whole cheating jealousy and stuff is just really the normal “suspense” and “domestic” for me I was really hoping for more through this book. Aside from that I did like that there’s 3 perspectives. We have Cass, Ethan and Alice, but this was lacklustre for me. I did enjoy it enough though but it was hard to keep up with, also the pacing was weird to me. It was pretty alright but nothing spectacular, no hate. Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this audio.
⭐️⭐️1/2

With a title like We’re All Lying you know you’re getting into a story with multiple unreliable narrators and that’s exactly what this book gave. The story is told from three first-person POV’s between Cass, Ethan and Alice.
Cass and Ethan are married with two children and Cass has just discovered Ethan has been cheating on her with one of her employees, Emma. Alice is Cade’s assistant, which to me was a tell that she is going to in some capacity be a large part of this story.
This book was immediately gripping and kept me enthralled throughout the entire story through the ups and downs, cheating and lies and to the just plain wild. There are threats made, arson and at least one person winds up dead with another on trial before the end of the book!
I really, really enjoyed this story and beyond some mild predictability I thought it was great and if you like thrillers I’d definitely recommend you give it a try!
The audio narrator did a great job and was a solid choice for this story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the Audio-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

My honest and truthful review for "We're All Lying" is this: If the characters were to get a grade for truthfulness and not misleading the reader, the grade would be a D- and that is generous. The three narrators in this book -- Cass, Ethan, and Alice -- are all lying to us or leading us down the wrong path a good chunk of the time. The story arc is quite entertaining and the ending very surprising. Unfortunately I found the narrator for Cass's sections of the book to be annoying and out of sync with her character description. She does not sound like a woman who is part owner of an ad agency and her cadence in reading the part came off stilted and artificial. Taking one point off for that as Cass is telling most of the story.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

DNF - I tried to listen to this one, but quickly lost interest and kept tuning out the audiobook. Perhaps it would have gone better had I chosen to read rather than listen to this one? I took a pretty instant dislike to the main character and this is always a bad sign for me.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I received an advanced listening copy of We're All Lying by Marie Still through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review and, here it is.

Cass has an ideal life, a successful career, and a perfect family. Or so she thinks.
•
I found this story to be predictable, I didn't connect with any of the characters and I wasn't rooting for anyone.

If you enjoy easy thrillers you may enjoy this read!

Thanks to DreamscapeMedia, NetGalley, and author Marie Still for this ALC to honestly review. We're All Lying will be available on March 13th.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the free e-audio book in exchange for an honest review.
This domestic thriller begins with Cass Mitchell, a woman who has everything that most people want. A loving marriage, two wonderful kids, and a successful career as an advertising executive. Until she gets a revealing email complete with photos from Emma Wallace, her husband’s mistress. After stalking Cass for a while, Emma suddenly disappears and Cas is not the suspect.
Unfortunately, the crack in Cass’s perfect persona is all it takes for her past to come crashing down around her and reveal buried secrets. Now, readers will have a front-row seat to her demise. There is plenty of suspense, mystery, psychological twists, jealousy, and lies.
This is a fast paced read that has plenty of twists and turns. The audio version was ok but not too bad and not too great. If you have a choice, I would recommend that you read this one. The narration just does not provide the emotion that I think this one needs.
Highly recommend!

Cass appears to have the perfect life with kids. A loving husband until she receives something that changes her life.
Initially the beginning reeled me in but eventually I lost interest and I began to dislike the MC.
What I didn’t like was how unreliable she became and how Cass wanted to claim what was hers.
The twist was very wild and it ended abruptly.
The narrators, Jennifer Aquino; Melissa Kay Benson; and Rob Brinkmann were okay. I likes the male narrator and there was one female narrator that I didn’t really like her narration but I couldn’t tell you which one it was. I preferred it at a faster clip.
The story is told in three POV but mainly in Cass POV.
Special thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the ALC.

3⭐️
Cass thought she had a perfect life. That was until she received an email from an anonymous person saying they were having an affair with Cass’ husband. And they had the photos to prove it. Soon after, Cass starts receiving menacing texts that she assumes to be from the mistress.
Alice has been Cass’ assistant for many years. She goes above and beyond to anticipate Cass’ needs: from memorizing her work schedule, printing presentations and getting Cass’ favorite lunch without being asked to stopping by the house to check on Cass when she knows she’s upset. Alice will do anything to make Cass happy and Cass doesn’t even notice. But when the mistress goes missing, Cass might start to pay attention.
This was an interesting stalker flick with a lot of twists and turns. I liked the different POV’s and the justification the characters used to support their action.
The pacing was a bit slow to start with and then felt rushed towards the end. There was also a major tone shift in Cass’ perspective that made the too halves of the book seem like completely separate stories.
I received and audiobook ARC of this book through Netgalley. Just as a personal preference I wasn’t a fan of the voice actor for Cass as her tone came off as condescending when the scene she was reading didn’t call for it, but that doesn’t take away from the book.
Thanks Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for providing this ARC to me.

Well I did not see that final twist coming . This definitely was a different take near the ending from 2 of the main characters…….I had no idea …..great psychological thriller. Just how much do we know about our relationships and how many of us lie to cover things, to get what we want , to hide secrets, to not show our true selves.
This audiobook was easy to listen too , the narrators were easy to follow and I breezed through it over 2 days
I voluntarily received a free copy from NetGalley and all opinions are my own
I would recommend this audiobook to friend and family and my book clubs

Stalking Cass
Cass lives a wonderful life, a great job, two beautiful kids, and a handsome loving husband. That is until it all crumbles around her. This day comes when Cass receives an email from Emma....her husband's mistress.
Cass keeps receiving emails...she see people following her....someone has been in her house and moving things. Then her office is trashed. She is angry, upset and scared.
Then Emma disappears and Cass finds herself the main suspect in her disappearance. Where is Emma and if Emma wasn't stalking Cass and trashing her office ...than who did?
Secrets and lies told by all...who is telling the truth...who is really there for Cass and who can she trust?
The story was okay, it was a bit predictable for me, I actually thought it a bit repetitive in nature.
Thanks to Marie Still for writing the story, to the narrators for a great job on the narration, to Dreamscape Media for publishing the audio book and to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of the audio book to listen to and review.

3.5⭐
Featuring ~ multiple 1st person POV, debut, infidelity, secrets, lies, stalking
Cass & Ethan have been married for 19 years when she gets an email showing him in some compromising positions with a girl named, Emma.
Our 3rd narrator is Alice ~ Cass's assistant, not the mistress, which just screams there will be some predictability IMO.
Honestly, none of the characters are particularly likable, but I suppose that's the point since all their pants are on fire. I started out feeling bad for Cass, but then she goes batshiz and I starting not feeling any sympathy for her.
Overall, this was a pretty good debut. It was a fast paced domestic/psychological drama that entertained me during some parts.
I was lucky enough to have a kindle copy and an audio copy. Go with the book if you can.
Narration:
Jennifer Aquino; Melissa Kay Benson; Rob Brinkmann ~ 9 hours 14 minutes ~ Cass's narrator sounded very robotic and unfortunately she had the most chapters. The other's were perfectly fine. So happy there were 3!

Cass has a charmed life a successful career, two great kids, and a handsome husband, Ethan. Then an email from her husband’s mistress, Emma, ends her seemingly perfect life. Cass and Ethan try to move on and then one day his mistress Emma disappears. Cass has wonderful coworkers and a very dedicated assistant, Alice, who will do anything for her.
But nothing is as it seems. Everybody lies and keeps secrets. There's a lot of twists and turns in this book and one that I did not see coming. I really enjoyed this in and looking forward to more from this author.
Thanks to Dreamscape Audio and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for fair and honest review.
