Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for this audio. I wanted to feel a little more but ok with a little immagination from Cass I could. I can not belive a woman is so blind but on the other was they say love is blind. Uh and there is her husband who does not deserve to breath.. who would want him dead?? No instesad happens something else. A twist but bot really a surprise bit somehow open the eyes, so still a decent listening.

Thank you Netgalley for this audio edition of We're All Lying by Marie Still.
Unfortunately this is a DNF for me. I've never listed the narrator as one of the reasons for quitting a book, but in this case, it's at the top of my list. Since this is an ARC site, I strongly suggest re-recording it with someone else. I felt like I was listening to a story read by someone who recites grade scores every morning. Bad inflection, just didn't represent the book well, which is a shame because it might actually be a worthwhile listen.
On top of that, I felt like this was a book about full grown adults written by a teenager. Just overdone with the needless drama, infidelity, and friendship betrayal. Maybe I'm too old for the target audience, but I have no room for it.

I was really excited about this book at the beginning: a cheating husband, the unaware wife and the unlikable mistress. There is quite a lot of action going on but somehow it didn't hold up for me until the end. What I really enjoyed was that the story is told through different point of views and short chapters. It makes it hard for the reader to decide who was being truthful and who is keeping secrets.
I enjoyed the narration by by Jennifer Aquino; Melissa Kay Benson; Rob Brinkmann as it makes the audiobook a very lively experience.
Thank you #NetGalley #Dreamscape Media for this advanced audiobook

Just really entertaining, perfect for all fans of domestic thrillers. I liked the different POVs and the narrators did a fine job too. The length was alright, not too long, not too short either. I can recommend this to readers of the genre.

Thank you NetGalley, dreamscape media, publisher and the author for the #gifted ALC in exchange for honest review. Another thriller that had high hopes and fell so flat. I am glad i read it as dreamscape media constantly makes really engaging audiobools but the story and execution were not for me.

I thought this book was really good at the start, but the last half was a little boring. I kept expecting a huge twist, and it never came. I felt the narrator's voice was robotic for many parts of the book.

Well, for once I did see that ending coming!! It's actually bloody frightening to think about the sort of innocent looking people that are in plain sight...
The build up was great, lovely and tense, had me gripped as the story unwound.
I haven't read (listened to) this author before, but I'll definitely be looking out for more of her books.
I want to thank the author, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media
for providing me the opportunity to listen to this new book - for my honest review.

They say the wife is always the last to know. Cass was living her best life, with two kids and a husband she thought adored her. Then she got an email from his mistress, a woman who proves dangerous. Cass and her husband try to move past the whole ugly business, but then the mistress disappears. Suddenly, no one feels sorry for Cass anymore, they think she’s done something terrible. A thriller that left me gasping

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

We’re All Lying is the perfect popcorn thriller. The story follows Cass, who thinks she has the perfect life with her husband until his mistress emails her to tell her of their affair. Then the email turns into stalking and then into something even more dangerous.
This was such a fast-paced thrill ride of a book. I could not put it down. You have 3 unreliable narrators and a ton of twists. I could not wait to see how Marie Still would wrap this story up. I also love a multi-narrator production, especially with thrillers. While I was so-so on one narrator, the other two were great and I had my headphones in alllll day. An entertaining domestic suspense thriller.

I liked the narration for the most part, but the woman that read as Cass came off as a little robotic to me. The story is about a woman who finds out her husband is having an affair and the craziness that ensues after the revelation. Almost all the characters are unreliable narrators which leads to being steered in multiple directions with now way of knowing who’s lying. I did enjoy how it all wraps up at the end, although I found the final twist kind of obvious. Anyone that’s into psychological thrillers will probably enjoy this book!

This book started out good. We jumped right into the story and I was interested. Then it kind of fell apart.
The dialogue seemed unrealistic and the decisions the characters made had me shaking my head. One example is Cass’ first conversation with her husband after the affair seemed emotionless and his internal dialogue after was worse. Don’t get me started on the Tyler thing. It borders on irresponsible to breeze over his behavior and offer him redemption.
But it’s a thriller not Shakespeare so I kept going. Give me some twisty drama…
Sigh.
Well the narrators had nice voices.
The book description didn’t match the story I listened to. I’m annoyed.

This is a case where I am begging the good folks at goodreads to allow us half stars. Was this book a solid 3? No, it has a bit more going for it than that, but, sadly, it didn't stretch as high as a 4 and I can't justify a huge bump.
First, I loved the beginning of the book. I was immediately drawn in to the story, to the seemingly lovely working mom/wife and the pain she was enduring all because her husband was a (insert your own curse word here).
Then, at about the 46% done mark (I checked), I increased the narration speed from normal to 1.25% because I was over it. It felt like a lot of repetition, over the top over dramatization and by then, I started to dislike main character Cass. She is first presented to us as an accomplished woman who runs her own successful business, is raising two teens, and is trying to adapt her life and figure out a future which has been knocked off balance by a cheating husband. Then, we are given a bag of unappealing flaws including my least favorite - focusing rage and anger at the other woman, while having sex with "her man" to show she won him back. Excuse me while I try to unroll my eyes. Ladies, if he cheats, he is the one who gets your rage as you make your appointment with the divorce attorney.
Blah blah fast forward to a really weird ending (seriously, I cannot recall another domestic thriller with that ending), and overall, it was an ok book. Not great. Never considered DNFing, but not my fave book by far.
Now, to the publisher - I hated the narration. I cannot say if it was the words that made it bad, or the performance. This audio book used both a man and woman, and both did this, so I'm assuming it was at the direction of whoever is in charge of creating the audio. Both. Of. Them. Spoke. As. Though. The. Individual. Words. Were. To. Be. Heard. Alone. Yes, that's how it sounded. It felt forced. I never felt like I was "in" the story. It was so unnatural it reduced my enjoyment tremendously. In fact, once I increased the speed it felt more natural and the succinctness of each pronounced word improved.
Thank you to Netgalley and to Dreamscape for allowing me to listen in advance of the 3/14/23 release date in exchange for an honest review.

This book had lots of drama with twists and turns aplenty. That’s usually right up my alley but I’m still trying to decide where things fell short. I was given a copy of the audiobook to review and the narration did not work for me at all. In fairness, there were multiple narrators. I didn’t connect with the main female narrator at all. The secondary female narrator was just ok. The male narrator was fine. With that in mind, were the descriptions and dialogue flat or was it the narration? I try not to judge books by their narrators but there’s no escaping that a narrator can either make a book better or worse than it is on its own. Unfortunately, it was the latter for me with this book. So, if you like twisty domestic thrillers with cheating and secrets and lies, check out the physical copy or the ebook!

We’re All Lying is a phycological thriller with twists and turns at every corner. Unfortunately, the majority of these twists are very easy to see coming. Even though I had a feeling what was coming I still enjoyed the book and was hit with a few surprises along the way.
Cass has what looks like a perfect life. A loving family and a great job. She then receives an email from her husband's mistress which turns her world upside down.
As the title states, everyone is lying. Some of those lies you won’t expect but most of them you will. Cass may be a victim but is she really? As everything was unfolding I could not look away.
The actual conclusion was not as satisfying as I hoped but it does its job and gives the reader all the closure they need.
If you like psychological thrillers then definitely check out Were All Lying.

Thanks for the ARC.
I didn't like one of the narrators at all. I won't say who because I don't come here to hurt feelings. It happens.
I did like the rest of the experience I had listening to this. It was bizarre and had enough twists. Ethan was a terrible husband. I love that. Cass was crazy. I love that. Alice was crazy. I love that.
They're all crazy and terrible.

This really has absolutely nothing to do with the content of the book. I normally don't even write on books I DNF. But I had to with this one because the narrators are stilted and awful. I've been able to listen to and love books with bad narrators. But this one was too much

Oooh, a twisty-turning whodunnit was definitely on my needs list recently, and I'm so happy that requirement was fulfilled with Marie Still's We're All Lying. A huge thank you is going out to Dreamscape Media, Marie Still, and NetGalley for granting me advanced audiobook access to this gem before it's set to publish on March 14, 2023.
Cass, a mighty PR manager/business owner, receives an email one night detailing her husband's infidelities, and she's thrown a total curveball. She thought her relationship with her husband was strong and could withstand anything, but apparently, she was wrong. Even worse, she received this email from her husband's mistress, making this ten times more personal!
She's given very little to process this news but further learns the mistress is one of her employees, throwing her into a mental health breakdown as she continues to be bullied by an unknown number and feels her sanity slipping. Everyone truly is lying in this thrilling tale, for we, as readers, slowly learn that perhaps not everyone in Cass's life has her best interests in plain view. Her husband, her secretary, and even her close companions all have secrets soon to be unveiled and will slap you right in the face.
