A beautiful story about starting again. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and really liked the plot, as it explored healing, learning to live after heartbreak and starting again for multiple generations so this book really would resonate with everyone.
The setting of the village and the beauty of the surrounding area was lovely, a community feel shattered with the beauty of nature was just a perfect setting.
I really enjoyed that this moved quickly over time, there was no messy dwelling on insignificant events, it kept you reading, interested and felt very real.
A fabulous read that I looked forward to picking up.

Angela is embarking on a fresh start in Waterthorpe following the passing of her husband, accompanied by her two daughters: 25-year-old Debs and 16-year-old Grace. The loss of her husband has left her with numerous unanswered questions, as he is no longer there to provide answers. When Angela encounters Gilles, the charming head gardener of a local estate, there is an undeniable chemistry between them. However, Angela hesitates to fully embrace a new relationship, uncertain if she is ready. Additionally, Gilles appears to be concealing something. This book explores the theme of starting anew after the loss of a loved one and the possibility of finding love once again. Personally, I found it to be a delightful read overall.

This is the third book in this series and it's always so nice to revisit places and characters as they sort of become old friends.

In this book we meet Angela who has decided that her and her daughter's need a fresh start in life. After her husband died after a motorbike accident. So Angela decides to move herself and her family to the lovely little village of Waterthorpe.

It is here that Angela meets Gilles who just happens to be the head gardener of Mooondreams House. I mean what a wonderful name for a manor house. Angela certainly wasn't expecting to fall in love again. But life has other ideas for her.

There are family secrets buried along the way that want to come out. Angela's turmoil about weather she should give into a new life with Gilles and if it would be disloyal to her dearly departed husband. Angela's life seems to have got just a little bit more complicated. But where will she let life lead her and is she ready to give love a chance?

This is a quick read, with lots of heart and lovely characters.

I received a free copy of, Finding happiness, by Ros Rendle, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Angela is starting over in Waterthorpe, after the death of her husband. Along with Angela is her 2 daughters 25 year old Debs, and 16 year old Grace. When Angela meets someone new, Gilles, the handsome head gardener, of a local estate, sparks start to fly. Can Angela move on with a new man after the death of her beloved husband? An enjoyable read, a great beach read actually.

Can Angela build a new life for herself and her daughters…?

Having lost her husband in a motorbike accident, forty-six-year-old Angela Ross has decided to start afresh in the small village of Waterthorpe. Along with her daughters — sixteen-year-old Grace and twenty-five-year-old Debs — she does her best to adjust to village life, supporting herself with her writing.

But when she meets Gilles Richard — the head gardener at Moondreams House, the large local estate — Angela’s heart is once again thrown into turmoil.

Torn between her loyalty to her deceased husband and her growing attraction to the kindly gardener, she is unsure whether she is ready to pursue a new relationship. And as she and Gilles become closer, she cannot shake the feeling that he has something to hide.

As long-buried secrets begin to unravel and family conflicts come to a head, Angela’s anxiety over the future increases. And with her painful past still weighing her down, she must decide whether she is finally ready to follow her heart…

Can Angela find a way to move forward? Will she and Gilles act on their feelings?

My Opinion

This is the third book in the series but the first I have read by Ros Rendle. Rendle has written a nice story with some great characters. At just over 200 pages this is a nice, quick read and easy to finish in a couple of hours.
