This started off really well and I was enjoying the storyline and the way it’s written. There’s plenty of humour while approaching the topic of artificial intelligence and sentient AI in an interesting way. But unfortunately the style started to bore me, lots of quick fire and sometimes silly dialogue became annoying. It’s still an enjoyable with lots to think about.

Sci-fi can be a hit or miss genre for me and unfortunately this was a miss. I gave it 30% before stopping. I really just had ZERO idea what was going on in this story, the sci-fi is heavy. I think it would work for fans of Becky Chambers though (I find her books hard to comprehend) I loved the idea of governments run by sentient AI systems but it was just so tech, political & sci-fi heavy, it kinda went over my head. A huge thanks to the publisher and netgalley for granting me a review copy!

The e-copy given was not compatible with mobile phone reading, the writing is too small and none-adaptive. As such I cannot judge the book good or bad. I was pretty disappointed as it sounded very interesting.
