This is a really beautiful storybook Bible and I love how intentional Shine consistently is in regards to selecting artists and illustrators for their storybook Bibles. I also think that, as a teaching resource, this is really well designed and easy for teachers in small programs or families to use at home with its clear support structure. My main complaint about The Peace Table is that it's primarily designed for use as a classroom resource – but they produce a new storybook Bible every few years for this purpose and that's not financially sustainable for most programs.

Come to God’s peace table, there’s room for everyone.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Word God has given us in the Bible reminds us that we are made in God’s image and that God’s table has room for us all. The Peace Table is a storybook Bible for families that brings God’s presence and peace real to children.

In The Peace Table you will enjoy the biblically faithful retellings of stories from Scripture. The artwork is stunning and has been created by 30 different illustrators. At the conclusion of each brief Bible story are prayer prompts, questions, and action ideas to guide family reflection and conversation.

Then for practical application, there ate 12 “peace paths” to. encourage children to explore the ways that peace themes are woven throughout the Old and New Testaments. I really like the, once again, practical applications for ways to pray. There is a path you move your finger and stop at each part of the community and pray, for school, church, friends, a park for creation, etc. Following this are two pages entitled Peace With Others with ideas for resolving conflicts with friends, family, enemies and strangers.
The Peace Table is an excellent resource for families who want their children to love Jesus, grow in faith, and become peacemakers in a world filled with turmoil.
