I teach kindergarten to students who are new to English. This will be a great book to use at the beginning of the year. The language is simple and clear. The illustrations are good for illustrating the point as well.

This is a great example of showing the potential consequences of not playing nicely or fairly with your friends and/or classmates. When you hurt someone's feelings, they more often than not don't want to play with you anymore. This is a great book showing younger audiences how the way they treat others can be both a negative and positive experiences. Its that golden rule we want to teach to the next generation, "treat others how you want to be treated" Show fairness, respect, and inclusion.

Don’t be a bully, little tiger is a children’s book about a Tiger who takes things he wants, but the result of this is he does not get many friends doing so.

I think the book had a great plot showing young readers the consequences of not sharing, and behaving this way. The drawings were a little meh. It was okay. Hope a lot of young readers learn something while reading this, because the message is really good.

Happy reading!♥️

(3.5 Stars) Little Tiger is starting school. But he has trouble with his behavior to others. Things like taking turns and being kind. After the other animals don’t want to play with him his teacher gives him ideas for small things to do. This picture books is simple and can be shared with pre-schoolers or ones just starting school. I can easily see discussing behaviors while reading this my library to younger grades. I liked the limited colors used in the illustration and it gives me a nostalgic feel. The cover is busy and isn’t my favorite illustration for attracting the eye.

I was sent a temporary ARC via NetGalley by North South Publishing and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Little Tiger is new to what we teachers call “doing school”: taking turns, sharing, waiting patiently, keeping your hands to yourself, treating others with kindness. A wise teacher instructs Little Tiger on how to “do school,” which is the only way to have friends. It might sound twee, but Carol Roth’s picture book is a gem, thanks to her deft prose and charming illustrations.

In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley and NorthSouth Books in exchange for an honest review.

This was great book to teach children all about kindness and building friendships, it showed example and ways children can be kind to others, encouraging compliments and compassion. A great story to read to children to teach how our actions affect others and yourself

This is a great little story for kids in pre-school or kindergarten about making friends, being selfish, and learning not to be a bully/how to think of others' feelings. The art is delightful too!

Thank you to #Netgalley for the arc of the book, 'Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger," by Carol Roth. As an educator, I read a lot of books to share with my students. I appreciate the message and the illustrations and I noticed some "bigger" vocabulary words that would be a lesson in itself. I thought it was short, simple, and cute and I feel very young children would be engaged with it. Although, It did remind me of the story, "No David," which is one of my all time favorites. Overall, I do think I would purchase to have in my classroom as a read aloud.

Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger
3.5 Stars

Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger is a cute toddler picture book. It promotes kindness and sharing. I enjoyed the simple drawing style with textured illustrations. My eyes appreciated the limited color palette, and bright pops of color. This book "over" expresses emotions to solidify Little tiger's feelings of rudeness versus kindness in class.

Thank you to Netgalley for the E-ARC of this book.

Don't Be a Bully, Little Tiger is a sweet little tale about a little tiger who goes to school and thinks everything should be done when he wants it done and how he wants it. He's very demanding with the other little children in his class and it isn't until he realizes he has nobody to play with, that he starts to change his ways. He starts being nice to the other kids and even gets better at sharing toys and activities with the other kids.

I have a child who has just started preschool, so this book was super relevant for our family! I really enjoyed that little tiger helped my child relate to situations at school that she might struggle with, and I liked how he worked through them to be better. She liked the story and the illustrations as well. Very cute and great message!

Don't Be a Bully, Little Tiger by Carol Roth is a great story about learning the consequences of what may happen when you are not nice. My 8 year old daughter said her favorite part was when he realized this and started being nicer to his friends at school.

This short story about a little tiger who finds it hard to make friends due to his behavior is beautifully made. It shows children very clearly that if you are nice to others, they will (probably) be nice to you too. It is a nice read to have with your child.
The illustrations weren't my style.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This is the story of a young tiger who is so excited to go to school, but he doesn't understand how to play and share with others. He expects to get everything he wants, and because he's a predator and his classmates are mostly prey animals, he gets what he wants (because he's just bigger and stronger I'm sure). But he soon realizes that even though he's always getting what he wants, he's sad because no one wants to play with him anymore. A bit of advice from the teacher leads to a major change in his behavior and his happiness.

The illustrations felt kind of basic, using just a few colors for everything, like every character had some of the teal-blue color as part of their body or clothing. They kind of gave me Richard Scarry book vibes. The message in this book is definitely one that children, especially only children (probably) could definitely benefit from, so I'd be okay to read it a few times, but I personally wouldn't want to read it a whole lot. Overall I give this book 3.68 out of 5 stars.

"Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger" is a simple story that teaches children about the importance of not bullying others. The illustrations are cute, but not exceptional. I wish the story had emphasized more the importance of why you should be kind to others. It felt that Tiger was taught not to bully just so the other kids would be nice to him.

Don’t Be a Bully, Little Tiger is about the cutest book I have ever read to my kids! Immediately the illustrations caught their eyes. One of my kids is bullying his little sister, so this book taught a great life lesson to him. It honestly made me look at my behavior more closely as an adult! The book was very clear in showing what “misbehavior” is (saying MINE! MOVE!, etc). When Little Tiger ended up alone, it was heart breaking. But the heart warming ending was perfect. I highly recommend this children’s book to any preschooler. Thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for this ARC. I volunteered to read and leave an honest review.

Don’t Be A Bully, Light Tiger is a cute book with a great message for children. It can be hard for children to learn how to share and get along with their peers. This book would help with that message. We all need to learn how to respect each other. My son enjoyed the illustrations and stayed engaged!

I do believe that teachers and parents play a big role when it comes to making the kids who are bullying other kids understand that bullying is not the way to get our way and hurting others is never okay.

This is the story of a little tiger attending school but also getting his way whenever he wants. Ultimately he gets left out and he doesn’t know what to do about it. The teacher helps him understand that kindness and sharing go a long way than using brute force. A good one.

I find the illustrations genuine and easy to the eyes. I wish another page was chosen for the cover.

Thank you, NorthSouth Books Inc., for the advance reading copy.
