Twin Roe & Ori who depicted as the saviour went on the perilous journey through Jungle, desert, swamps and caves to find what happened to their father and to omit out the threat posed by Menace to let them live peacefully. With the help of the magical backpack, transformation of Theo into lion and Roe's following a glowing ring to a magical blue pool to get her father's powers to help fighting her against the Menace, they resolved the trouble of every person with them. Actually I only read it halfway and keep this for later, but I forget about the archive date and now I can't access the book. But what's done is done. Here's my thoughts on half of the book.

The cover is stunning, the writing is good but I don't really engage with the plot. Was it the characters or the banters? I found it too bland. I took this as me-problem.

Thank you Netgalley and atmosphere press for the e-Arc in exchange for honest review.

This is definitely an action packed middle grade story. Everyone in the Drifters Realm are assigned special roles and powers. You get introduced to Roe and Theo and find out that their parents and brother mysteriously disappear.

A chain of events is set off when Roe nearly gets hurt by a Guardian. This leads to Roe and Theo with reuniting with their brother Ori and getting involved in a revolt to overthrow the rule of the First City. I would read this book to my child.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Drifters Realm had everything I enjoy reading in a fantasy book: rich description, some gorgeous coloured illustrations, relatable characters and a whole lot of questions which are yet to be resolved. Life seems idyllic until various children start to go missing without a trace. Roe, Ori and their older brother Theo along with Seth and a group of others set out to discover the truth of events for themselves. Who has been giving them accurate information? Who are the Menace? Will their obligation skills and backpacks be enough to protect themselves and those they care about?
I will be keeping my eyes peeled for book 2!
