A quick and interesting read. A lot of the things talked about in "The Art of War" is still applicable.

This is a classic book with interesting cases of Chinese wisdom applied to strategy. When you read this type of books, you may have a dual view on different situations and reflect on business strategy as battle field. To win a battle is one thing, to win a war is a completly different scenario. Strategic wisdom will always be ahead of tactics and actions.

A very good English translation of the original text, with thought put into the best phase to be used when a direct translation wasn’t possible. The additional chapters in historical battles that either did or didn’t follow the advice of Sunzu was informative also
