‘OMG WHAT A READ!!!! This chilling and mind-blowing read will grip you until the insane final page. Whenever I thought I knew what was happening and had the twist guessed, something else changed. If you like a dark twisty thriller I highly recommend this.

I love a great thriller that masterfully pieces itself together the longer I devour it! The characters left a bit to be desired but that is okay because the twists were thrilling!

I have to say I am impressed. THE BABYSITTER'S SECRET was as thrilling and as addictive as "Only Child" was and I devoured it in one sitting! A dark and twisted tale, it is a chilling one that will have you questioning who and what to believe as both narrators are unreliable and incredibly complex.

This book is a very additive read, full of tension and suspense and tells the stories of Emily and Sasha. Emily has been released from a mental health facility after killing her son. She is living in a flat to rehabilitate and is helped by two carers Louise and Charlotte. But she is struggling to cope as she constantly thinks she can hear a baby crying and is convinced that Louise is trying to get her back in to the psychiatric ward. Sasha has recently lost her mum and is still reeling from the letter she left her explaining that she was adopted. She decides to visit the house where she grew up in. The current occupier mistakes her for the new nanny and Sasha decides to keep up the pretence so that she can have a good look around the house. Only when she investigates she remembers the past and memories come flooding back. It seems hard to see how Emily and Sasha can connect with each other but when they do it becomes very dark and intense. With all the twists and turns it e comes a very intense psychological thriller. A great read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Wow! I read novel in about 6 hours straight. Keeping my interest from the moment I started, this book was a roller coaster. Every time I thought I knew what was happening and that I had the twist guessed, something else changed.

The story focuses on two women: Sasha and Emily. Their alternating perspectives kept me intrigued and on edge as I quickly devoured their narratives.

Sasha is a woman on a mission to make sense of her missing memories. When she gets to her childhood home, it is occupied by a new family similar to her own. She quickly becomes mistaken for the family’s new nanny and accepts the job realizing that she can snoop at her own leisure if she stays there

Emily is a woman haunted by her past, living in a halfway house after being finishing her 20 year sentence at a mental health prison.

How do these stories connect? Are these narrators telling the truth? What is being left out? Find out all and more by reading this fantastic book!

I will say that in my ARC there were some spelling/grammar mistakes. Hopefully these have been fixed in the published copy!
