Because Marketa and her brother Joe were albinos they were sent from a Montana orphanage to an orphanage in the village of raw in Africa it was run by an evil woman named Sue who was also an albino her public persona brought vision to the albinos Bing injured and amputated due to theaters and superstitions but instead she brought in these children made them models for her fashion house and everyone thought she was the best but Marketa and the other children knew the real her unfortunately when Marketa her brother and T were running away from the orphanage her brother Rob stepped on the landmine and thinking he was dead Marketa and T.I. kept running. Now she is grown and she’s going back because she received a letter saying her brother is still there this time she’s bringing her fiancé Aaron with her unfortunately security is very tight in the village of raw and Sue keeps a close eye on everyone who comes and goes but when Marquita finds a way in and reunites with her brother that’s not the one she envisioned and even he may be a threat to her not only leaving again but living to tell about it. While Marketa is fighting for her life her fiancé has called TI of Sue and her best friend Carol and it seems they have taking a liking to him but he just wants the time his fiancé and get out of there but it won’t be as easy as they once thought. They’ve already lost one friend will they be able to make it out alive and let the world know the horrible person to really is a will they die in Rah while she gets to keep all her nasty murderous secrets? Wow this book was really good and they had so much to it and I really didn’t know how the author was going to bring the story home in a satisfying way but OMG did they I thoroughly enjoyed this book it is a hard pounding thriller and although I did fine Marketa didn’t act like a woman who was scared of Sue but I guess she was at the end of a rope and I know most people don’t know what the hell I’m talking about so I’ll stop here it really was a good book I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommended what a great book! I received this book from book Sirens and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

Where to start with this book.
I'm still feeling a bit... confused by some parts of it.
I did appreciate that the book got straight into the plot. There was no slow chapters, which made it all that much easier to finish the book quickly.
The storyline was unique, which was great. albino children in Africa in a not-so-great orphanage.
There are some interesting twists as well. It was worth the read, but did get a little slower towards the end.

A book about albinos, in an orphanage in Africa 😳, their escape and now they want to go back to that awful place?! This book started off quick. This was a no fuss no muss type book, the author got right into the plot of the book. I appreciated this about the novel, a good book doesn’t always need 100 pages of fluff and backstory. However, the book then fell off a bit for me. I wanted more and was left wanting more, through the last 2/3 until the ending, where I was 🤯.
This was overall a good book and a fast read!

This was totally different to what I normally read & I almost stopped reading after the 1st chapter or so... but I'm so glad I kept reading. I really enjoyed this book & read it in a day!!!
