Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me access to this eARC. I took the time to read the first book in the series then read this one. This series is fantastic. If you are into true crime I highly suggest both of these books. I am looking forward to more books she writes.

I was very excited to see that Book Two of The Alpha Female Files was available and quickly started reading it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as enjoyable of a reading experience for me as Book One was. The writing in this book was more stilted than in the first. It also jumped around a lot without fully exploring each topic or thread. This book also went much further into territory that I would conspiracy theories. I of course can’t judge someone else’s experience, but so many of the situations she described were going from point A to point Z without much in between. The connections she made between herself, government entities, private companies, celebrities, past co-workers, neighbors, friends and others were far-fetched. Since she can’t disclose many details, I understand why a lot would be left out, but I found a lot of it hard to believe.

This is a short read with short chapters, but I found myself not wanting to pick it up in contrast to Book One that I didn’t want to put down. She uses words like “friggin’” several times and that made it feel like she was just chatting and quickly wrote this into book/ essay format. This version seemed much more rushed than the first one and could’ve used some help from an experienced editor.

Book Two brings us into the current timeframe including the Covid-19 pandemic and the aftermath. I still want to hear the “end” of the story and how things conclude between her and her husband, and those targeting her, but I may just google for updates instead of reading another book.

Jessica Berner Lee has a way with words and I could not stop reading book one in book 2 was no different. This time the following her then they did it in front of her kids and as I said in my first review hell hath no fury like a woman scorned but I think Jessica is in a class by herself. She seems to get to the bottom of the most unimportant slight with me being deemed unimportant by now I witness with Jessica Bernard Lee takes it serious and she wants revenge. There is no book or autobiography or biography I can’t compare the alpha female files to because it is so original so refreshing so good it almost reads like a thriller with twist or top twist to make it that much better. I highly highly recommend this book it is so good and so honest in the first book we hear about the Honey pot scandal but they’re not done with Jessica yet and then Book Tours we find out how and why they’re still harassing her . I received this book from NetGalley and a publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

A continuation of the author’s crazy story/life after marrying and having kids. Thinking she chose well, her life goes off the rails and things become really bizarre, with Covid happening on top of it. An easy read, although out there some it's interesting to ponder.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
If you haven't read the 1st book, do that before reading this 2nd installment. It will make much more sense.
This story reads like a fiction spy thriller and the reader keeps guessing at what crazy event will happen next. The author does an amazing amount of investigation and untangles the very twisted crime web that is revolving around her and her family. While this book is t quite as wild and crazy as the 1st, it is interesting to see what's happened since the end of book 1.
Looking forward to book 3 and hopefully the end of this strange story
