Rebecca Zanetti brings us yet another well written, intriguing and captivating psychological thriller. This is the third novel in the Laurel Snow series and I couldn’t be happier. There’s a new serial killer in the Pacific Northwest, targeting middle aged men and Laurel & Huck are back on the job!

Rebecca Zanetti books have become a must buy for me as soon as I see them on the shelves. Her books are always entertaining, romantic and suspenseful. Can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!

I want to thank NetGalley, Rebecca Zanetti and Kensington Books, Zebra for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

Definitely a fast paced thriller that pulls you in from the beginning. Love the family dynamics of good sister, bad sister. Keeps you hooked til the end!

This series has me hooked. I highly recommend reading them in order to get to know the characters. Laurel has really grown on me and her relationship with Huck is adorable. They’re both so different but they work so well. Abigail is as terrifying as ever in this book. She adds so much suspense to the story because you never know what she’s going to get up to next. Add that with the return of their father and there’s a lot of drama before you even get to the hunt for a killer. There’s a lot going on and this fast paced book doesn’t let up for a second. It's a thrilling read packed full of suspense with a touch of romance for balance. I was hooked and read it in two days because I couldn’t put it down. I had no idea who the killer was and the reveal is as dramatic as the other books. As soon as you know who it is everything just slots into place. I love that we get to know more about Laurel’s team because they are great characters. We also get to learn more about Laurel’s mum and her past. I cannot wait for the next book to see what trouble Abigail causes and if they can finally beat her at her own game.

You Can Die, Laurel Snow #3 in Rebecca Zanetti’s thriller series, has another savage killer on the loose. The Pacific Northwest, one of my favorite settings, is a dangerous place!

This killer has his/her sights on well-liked family men, that aren’t the upstanding citizens they appear to be. Laurel is unnerved when her biological father, the former pastor, surfaces to meet her. She’s even more stunned when he ends up as one of the murder victims. Still convinced Abigail is connected to the murders, she keeps searching for a link.

Of course, the book wouldn’t be complete without Huck and his dog Aeneas! Will there be a book #4?

If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, this suspenseful and twisted thriller won’t let you down. The author adds enough backstory that the book can be read as a standalone. Grab this one now!

Sincere thanks to Kensington Books / Zebra for providing this complimentary ARC through NetGalley. As always, all opinions are my own and left voluntarily.

In "You Can Die", FBI profiler Laurel Snow is against a savvy and brutal rituslistic murderer, who is killing men known to have committed adultery. One after the other, men she knows and strangers are being killed, with very little gap between the murders and this leaves her team scrambling to find evidence and clues that could lead them to the perpetrator. At the same time, she has been trying to find evidence that links her half-sister Abigail in the serial murders that had happened previously.

This book is yet another excellent work from author Rebecca Zanetti. She has created brisk and tense narrative that captures the urgency and direness of the situation without being too gross and brutal. The way Agent Snow's character has been developed is on point; she is a woman of principles inspite of her unusual nature and the way she has opened herself to the people around her is beautiful to watch; so is her relationship with Captain Huck Rivers. They have a unique relationship with him accepting her various weird and quirky behaviors.

Snow's investigation against Abigail seems to come to its head too with her finally getting some concrete findings about her. I can't wait to read the next book in this interesting series and couldn't recommend it more to lovers of thrillers.

Lots of suspense and twists and turns. Laurel is determined to find the killer and to keep her team safe. Huck is equally determined to keep Laurel safe and build on their budding relationship. Then there’s Abigail. I highly recommend.

❤️❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
This series keeps me on the edge of my seat. At the same time I desperately want more but also I don’t because I don’t want the series to be over! RZ knows how to give you twists you don’t see coming which is one of the things thats makes her such an excellent suspense writer.

Our heroine is an FBI profiler and once again she has a new twisted serial killer on her hands. This being on top of her biological half-sister who is intent on playing mind games on her and everyone around her, including the hero.

This series is book 3 revolving around the same main characters so I do recommend reading in order. In this book we get a little bit more romance yet again which I’m living for because the hero and heroine are so different yet somehow fit together so well! Can’t wait for the next (and last) book in the series!

Great addition to the Laurel Snow Thriller series. Each can be read as a standalone, but should ideally be read in order to get most of the underlying story arc involving Laurel and her sister. As Laurel and Huck work on tracking down the latest serial killer in their community, their relationship deepens. We also learn more about her sister Abigail, but it's still yet to be revealed whether she is friend or foe. The plot twists and turns are intriguing and keep me glued to the pages. I can't wait for the next release to find out what happens next!

YOU CAN DIE

This series is amazing!!! I could not put it down, and the ending, WOW, but I won’t give that away. But wait, it wasn’t just at the end, there were twists and turns around every corner. All the previous players, but some new twists as well. Rebecca Zanetti’s talent for weaving excitement, romance, action, and suspense into this series is a gift that keeps giving.

You just have to love to hate Abigail Kane, each returning character has their own special flaws and attributes. Start from the beginning, but make sure you get this one in. What a great read!

This is the latest book in the Author's Laurel Snow series - in my opinion it is not necessary to read the previous books as the Author provides references to past events .

FBI profiler Laurel's relationship with Washington, Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck River is off to a tricky start - she's not used to dating , is socially insecure and whilst opposites the 'get' each other . When her psychotic half sister , Abigail ,consistently tries to meddle and undermine not just her relationship with Huck but also her latest case known as the the Broken Heart Murders - where men are stabbed to death inside a purple tent and their mouths filled candy valentine hearts.
Laurel tries to set boundaries but her sister in incapable and unwilling to comply .
As more murders are committed Laurel comes under more pressure - the re-appearance of her long lost father adding to the mix - just why has he chosen now to come back ?.
The Author manages to keep the reader invested in her multi-faceted characters , her story fast paced with twists and turns around every corner - an enjoyable read .

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Man, I've loved this series. The characters are unique and interesting. The crimes horrid and difficult to solve.

Laurel's friendships, family and relationship with Huck all speak volumes about her. She's not a social animal. She doesn't always understand social conventions. Unlike her half-sister though, she's cares deeply for those closest to her and gets a lot out of those relationships. She, at times, questions if she's doing it right, but she's all in with Huck. When her office manager is pulled into the newest serial killers orbit, Laurel never doubts her and will move mountains to prove her innocence. As always, she's so dedicated to finding the killer and stopping them..

This story, with her sister's continued annoyances and manipulations, her father's reappearance, his murder, the questionable loyalties of those around her, all add up to lots of suspense and intrigue. The story is complex and pageturningly good. The suspense is more involved than the romance but readers of both genres will enjoy the book.

I give this book a solid 5 star rating.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the ARC.

This is another thrilling story from the very talented Rebecca Zanetti! I will read everything she writes. This is the third story with FBI Agent Laurel Snow tracking down another serial killer. Its the Broken Heart Murders. The killer stabs the male victims multiple times and shoves candy Valentine hearts down their throats, strips them naked and has them found in a purple tent pitched in the vicinity of a church. We follow the clues along with her abbreviated team aided by Huck Rivers of the Washington Fish and Wildlife Search and Rescue. I really enjoyed the development of Huck and Laurel's relationship as it progresses through this series. We learn more about her office manager Kate Vuittron, computer tech Nester and agent Walter Smudgeon. Her half sister and look alike Abigail Caine creates even more chaos and mystery along the way. There are many threads in this series and we learn a little more through each book. The team works to follow the clues to catch the killer before another body shows up. What an adventure!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Not my cup of tea. Part of a series with lots of return characters. I found it hard to put together. My suggestion. Read first book before reading this.

Thank you Kensington Books and NetGalley for the ARC. IYKYK my reviews are always honest. I really enjoyed book #1 in this series. This is your standard, 'old lady' police procedural. I really like Laurel Snow. She's a baddie but without the chip on her shoulder.

What an exciting ride! This is my first time reading anything by this author and I really would like to read more. The main characters are very likeable and I definitely would love to see how their future progresses. The ending was a bit of a surprise. It was hard to pinpoint who the killer might be, but it wasn't who I ever thought. Definitely worth the read for fans of thrillers.

Rebecca Zanetti amps up FBI profiler Laurel Snow’s personal and professional pressure in You Can Die, Laurel Snow #3, when her biological father returns to town. Zanetti deftly develops her complex, relatable, and compelling characters with absorbing interactions. Her descriptive, vibrant, and active writing style and a disturbing and intriguing mystery plot draw you in with natural-sounding dialogue and detailed worldbuilding that keeps you turning the pages trying to guess who the killer might be. Her action scenes are thrilling, suspenseful, and well-constructed. Zanetti writes and develops the mystery and suspense elements so intricately that it’s always surprising who the killer is and their motive.

I love how Zanetti continues to develop and evolve Laurel’s relationship with Washington Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck River through sweet, humorous, and sexy banter and interactions and steamy, intimate, and emotional love scenes that contribute to the characters and the story’s evolution—without distracting from the suspense/mystery plot. They’ve officially started dating, which is new for Laurel, and she’s experiencing insecurity for the first time. Complete opposites—they get and balance each other. Laurel’s coolly analytical, while Huck’s impulsive and fiery. Huck respects Laurel, offers her emotional support, and gives her the room she needs to be herself. Laurel tries to be more emotionally open and makes room in her life for Huck, which isn’t easy for her.

Her psychotic half-sister, Abigail’s insistence on meddling in Laurel’s personal life and relationship with Huck doesn’t make it any easier. Abigail cannot stay out of Laurel’s personal life. She keeps getting into Laurel’s head about whether they’re right for each other, whether Huck and her will last, and trying to break them up. She’s creepy AF. I love how Huck and his dog are like, “Nope, don’t like or trust her at all!”

But it is deeply frustrating how much Abigail gets away with. She relentlessly inserts herself into Laurel’s investigations, demanding her attention at every turn. Laurel continues searching for proof of Abigail’s connection to the cases she’s solved since returning to Genesis Valley, only to discover that, yet again, Abigail is connected to the serial murders Laurel is investigating. Then, unexpectedly, Laurel’s biological father, Zeke Caine, returns, claiming he wants to reestablish a relationship with Laurel despite the circumstances under which she was conceived. So Laurel has to try and keep him away from her mom to minimize worsening the trauma he’s already caused her.

With her biological father’s return, Laurel has to deal with two malignant narcissists. Laurel’s troubled half-sister’s machinations complicate Laurel’s determination to uncover the truth about her biological father’s past. His being found as a potential victim of the serial killer just makes things worse because it’s unclear whether Abigail is involved. I feel Laurel needs more wins against her sister. As a gifted, respected profiler, she should be able to get inside her sister’s head just like Abigail does hers, even if she’s not a psychopathic killer and malignant narcissist. Laurel knows who and what her sister is and doesn’t trust Abigail. But she seems to get blindsided and outmatched too often.

The pacing and story for this one feel different. It’s a bit more personal and involves more personal interaction between the characters, especially Laurel and Huck. While there’s a little less action, the action scenes are still top-notch. Each novel builds upon the first one’s plot, so reading them in order is helpful. But Zanetti provides enough information within each book for readers to follow the story relatively easily. You Can Die is a dark, thrilling, suspenseful, steamy, romantic, fast-paced read.

FBI profiler Laurel Snow is once again on the hunt for a serial killer with the help of her FBI team and Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers. Besides dealing with that, she also has to deal with her psychotic half-sister and the return of her father. This is the 3rd installment in this series, and it does not disappoint. I was blown away with who the killer was and that's always a good thing (in my opinion). I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

You Can Die by Rebecca Zanetti was good. It was technically book three in the Laurel Snow series but I read it as a standalone. It had well developed, interesting characters with only more mystery. The balance of mystery-suspense and romance was my favorite thing about this novel. Romance always makes me more invested. In a very good way it felt like Criminal Minds. Overall enjoyable and I’ll be reading the rest of the series!

You Can Die is the third book in Rebecca Zanetti's "Laurel Snow" series and it was just as good as the other two! There is a serial killer on the loose in the Pacific Northwest. One with a chilling MO-shoving candy down the throats of their male victims. As Huck and Laurel investigate the murders they have to navigate Laurel's sociopath sister and their new relationship, and when Laurel's estranged father becomes a victim things become even more complicated.

I loved being able to see Laurel and Huck's characters and relationship develop. Everything that I loved about the last book was evident in this one. It was a thrilling ride and the author does such a wonderful job at keeping the mystery twisting and turning. The thrill keeps you engaged the entire time. Rebecca Zanetti has done it again and made a thrilling ride of a mystery.

I do think that you should read at least the second book before reading this one, otherwise you miss out on the relationship dynamics between all the characters. This is a personal opinion though. Also, I was not a huge fan of how a relationship/family topic was approached. Laurel had an opinion at the beginning of the book and then completely changed her mind, and it didn't really seem realistic. This is a rather small thing though, and I still enjoyed the book a lot.

Overall, I continue to enjoy this series. I can't wait to see what is in store next for Huck and Laurel. Rebecca Zanetti is a go-to author for me these days and this book is just more evidence as to why that is so.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in this wonderful series. I have read the previous 2 books in this series and enjoyed them too. I love Laurel Snow, she is intelligent, witty and a really interesting heroine.

I love her and Huck's dynamic together. The twists and turns in this book are really intruiging.

Rebecca Zanetti is a talented writer. A great read!
