24 Hours in Italy by Romi Moondi is a fast-paced story following Mira's journey from the US to Italy, where she reunites with Jake. The chemistry between them is undeniable, but I felt they lacked communication. The vivid descriptions of the Amalfi Coast make readers feel like they're there. Moondi's passion for Italy and its food shines through every word. What's also great about the book is the focus on the side story of their friends Eloise and Dembe, adding depth to the plot. Overall, it's a charming read filled with romance, friendship, and the magic of Italy.

Jake and Mira kept circling around to the same conversation, over and over. It felt repetitive and I started to get a little bored with it. I was having fun with it but I got tired of it after a while!

I was a big fan of 24 Hours in Paris, and Jake and Mira's next adventure in Italy does not disappoint. The best part about this book is the witty banter/dialogue between the two main characters, they are both so funny and charming but also real. I recently visited the Amalfi Coast and reading the descriptions of scenery and food brought me back. I would definitely recommend this light hearted romance to anyone looking for a book that makes you feel good.

24 Hours in Italy by Romi Moondi is a follow up to 24 Hours in Paris. I really enjoyed Mira's and Jakes relationship. I liked how this was a second chance romance because they connected and fell in love in Paris before and fell out of touch. The author picks perfect settings for her books. Who wouldn't want to get swept away in Paris and now the Italian culture! I felt like I could see, taste, smell, FEEL the surroundings in the book from the way the author paints the pictures. I can't wait to spend 24 more hours in a new location with this author and her books!

"24 Hours in Italy" is a sequel that reunites readers with the endearing characters of Mira and Jake from "24 Hours in Paris." Two years have passed since their magical day in Paris, and now they find themselves on a new adventure in Italy, where sparks are sure to fly once again.

Mira has embarked on a new chapter in her life, taking a break from her high-pressure corporate job to savour the delights of Italy. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, delicious food, fine wine, and charming locals, her life seems idyllic. Yet, the memories of her time with Jake linger, leaving her with thoughts of what might have been.

Meanwhile, Jake's career is on the rise, but his move to California hasn't been without its challenges. He's hopeful that reuniting with Mira at a friend's destination wedding will give them a chance to make amends. However, travel has never been his forte, and a recent heartbreak still lingers in his mind.

When Mira and Jake collide once again on the stunning Amalfi coast, the chemistry between them reignites. The passion they shared in Paris remains just as strong, promising a second chance at love. However, life's twists and turns have left their marks on both of them, and their path to happiness is far from straightforward.

The story is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with what I would consider some circular discussions. However, the transportive ability of this novel's vivid descriptions of the Amalfi coast makes up for that.

Overall, "24 Hours in Italy" is a heartfelt and engaging second chance romance. It captures the essence of rekindled romance against the backdrop of one of the world's most picturesque destinations. Readers who enjoyed the first book in the series will find this sequel equally captivating, and it leaves them eager to explore more of the author's work.

Traveling the world through a book will never get old and I loved experiencing Italy while reading Romi Moondi’s latest book, 24 Hours in Italy. It picks up just about where 24 Hours in Paris left off (review here) and I really enjoyed getting back together with Mira and Jake and seeing if their romance could finally stick this time around.

Here’s the book’s description:
Two years have passed since Mira and Jake missed their flight and spent a magical 24 hours together in Paris. Sparks flew. Romance bloomed. But life got in the way. When they’re reunited for another whirlwind adventure, will they connect in the same way?
Mira’s living her best life, having started a new chapter by taking a leave from her high pressure corporate position to spend time in Italy. Surrounded by amazing scenery, fantastic food and wine, and endearing locals, her life is nearly perfect—except for the thoughts of what might've been with Jake.

While Jake’s career has never been better, the move to California has been less than perfect. Still, he’s got high hopes that seeing Mira at their friends’ destination wedding can right past wrongs. Except travel has never been his strong suit, and his reunion with Mira is punctuated by another, more recent heartbreak.
When the pair collide again on the gorgeous Amalfi coast, the spark they felt in Paris is reignited, but their quest for a happy ending will surely be as rocky as the Italian coastline.
I don’t know if it’s because I, like Mira, am an elder millennial, but Jake is a pretty great book boyfriend. *fans self* I’ll get into it more below but Mira was the one who destroyed their relationship so any less-than-ideal behaviour on Jake’s part while they were together in Italy was, in my opinion, totally justified. I really loved how much you could tell that he did care for her. He was also just trying to protect himself and you can’t blame the guy. On the flipside, you can also tell that Mira is just as head over heels for Jake as he is for her. Their relationship isn’t perfect but there’s an ease there than most couples can only dream of. The everyday experiences (though I’m not sure you could call their 24 hour escapades “everyday”) the pair have are just as magical and impactful as the Big Moments can be. Not to mention the sexual chemistry between the two! It’s impossible not to root for them (a double negative Mira would be proud of and Jake would be exasperated about) and that’s part of what makes this rom com so delightful.

All that said…I know it would have been difficult for Mira and Jake to have stayed together doing the long distance thing after just 24 hours together in Paris. But the way they fell apart? I couldn’t buy it. I can understand to a point that Mira was dealing with a lot but she was acting more like a mid-twentysomething than a mid-thirtysomething and I guess I just expected more from her. Which I admit is kind of ridiculous and unfair because, hello, I quit a job during a global pandemic to go back to school at the age of 34. But I had a plan. (And I’m happy to say it’s worked out remarkably well.) Maybe I just wanted her to figure out what she wanted and stop blaming outside forces because I knew she was smart and driven, just a bit…aimless. I wanted her to stop being scared and just freaking talk to Jake. He wasn’t blameless either - he could have tried a bit harder - but Mira was definitely the one blowing up the relationship and I wasn’t sure how they’d come back from that. (But don’t worry - this is a romance!)

The other thing that kind of nagged at me was the side story of Eloise and Dembe. They’re the reason Mira and Jake have been thrown together once more as the pair was having their second wedding on the Amalfi coast. There was some sort of drama there and I found it took away from the overall story. I like the couple, don’t get me wrong, but I didn’t need Eloise being an idiotic drama queen and not trusting her husband (to be) and worrying so much about the “perfect” day.

But boy was I glad Eloise and Dembe decided to have their second wedding along the coast - somewhere I’ve neve been and don’t know if I’ll ever get to. It really felt like Moondi knew the area and loved it. Experiencing the area alongside Jake and Mira was so lovely. And had me craving sunshine and everything lemon! I could perfectly picture everything and that’s a credit to Moondi’s talent and care for the country.

24 Hours in Italy is stronger than Romi Moondi’s last novel and I can’t wait to see her grow even more as an author. She writes rom coms that have an equal balance of romance and comedy with a heap of reality tossed in - nothing seems fake or manufactured just for the sake of the storyline, it’s so refreshing. Just as refreshing as traveling through Italy while reading. Check out this book if you’re in the mood to “see” Italy while rooting for a couple you can’t help but love.

24 Hours in Italy was everything I could have hoped for and so much more.

I really loved Romi's 24 Hour in Paris. It felt like this delicious and unforgettable love letter to the City of Light. It is also a book I plan on re-reading before I go to Paris to visit some of the sights Mira and Jake visited. I was excited to get my hands on Romi's next book, 24 Hours in Italy, because the Amalfi Coast is another place that is on my bucket list, and I knew Romi's description of this place was going to have me wanting to pack my bags and visit this gorgeous location. Readers, I am here to tell you that Romi did not disappoint me with this book. Like most rom-coms, you don't have to read the first book to understand what is happening in this book. Romi does an amazing job at bringing readers up to speed. Fans of the previous book will be excited to hear that many of the previous book's characters make appearances in this book.

I'm always amazed at how masterful Romi is at transporting her readers to these magical places. I felt like I was exploring the Amalfi Coast with Mira and Jake. I adore that Romi will often explore those small and not always super tourist spots; she really brings to life those hidden gems that often get overlooked. Of course, the food talk in this book is out of this world. Mira's passion for delicious food is infectious, and all I wanted to do was cook up some Italian food and eat until I burst at the seams.

One of the many things I love about this book is its fast pace. The bulk of this book takes place in 24 hours, and a lot happens in those 24 hours. Because things are moving so quickly, I become so engrossed with what is happening that before I know it, I am over halfway done with the book, and all I want to do is keep on reading because I want to know what will happen next. It is an addictive read. Plenty is going on in this book we have the wedding between Eloise and Dembe, which has its own drama, we have fun secondary stories happening, and of course, all that the delicious tension between Mira and Jake.

The romance in this book is all about second chances, forced proximity, and even a love triangle. All of these tropes blend together to make one fabulous love story. Mira and Jake's relationship fizzles out at the beginning of this book. Life throws Mira an unexpected curve ball, which causes her to break things off with Jake. But like any good rom-com, neither Mira nor Jake can really move on, so when they meet up again in Italy, it's hard not to see the chemistry between them. There are many will they won't they moments between these two, which had me turning the page because I wanted to see who would make the first move. I love Mira and Jake together; they just make sense as a couple in my mind. There is a lot of hurt and uncertainty between these two, and I enjoyed watching them rekindle their romantic relationship. Overall, I thought Romi knocked this love story out of the park.

24 Hours in Italy is an addictive rom-com that will leave you feeling very satisfied.

This is the sequel to 24 hours in Paris, where Mira and Jake had missed their flight and spent an amazing 24 hours together. Now, after two years they are reunited. The chemistry between them is just as strong as before, creating a sweet passion that will warm your heart. Although these two meet again, and the sparks between them are still burning strong, life has happened in the years they were apart and their road to happiness is not straightforward. Filled with many twists and turns, they still face many ups and downs which kept me engaged and anxiously turning the pages to see how it all turns out. The author did a really nice job of creating realistic characters that you can relate to and connect with emotionally. And the descriptions of the Amalfi coast were simply wonderful and breathtaking. You can clearly picture everything in your mind!
A heartfelt story that kept me turning the pages - I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's work.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Thank-you to #NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC. I appreciated the character interplay between the two main characters. However, I felt that other aspects were way over the top in the story. I will put a caveat out there that I had not read the first book in this story.
I wish the writer would've focused more on the two main characters interactions instead of grand things they did. The author's strength is her character interactions. I would love to read more by them.

Review: This was one of those books that you think is glowing great then thinks start to slowly feel off and then they stop making sense. It was a cute summer book that I think everyone should look into don’t get me wrong but it just wasn’t a stand alone. I have a hard time always going with the frost book in a series and I really don’t know what 😂just a weird thing I tend to do.

Thank you netgalley and wattpad Webtoon book group for the eARC in exchange for an honest review #NetGalley #bookstagram #kindle #kindleedition #eread

The summer book I didn’t know I needed. This book simultaneously made me want to eat good food, drink Prosecco, and have Italian ASMR video playing in the background. It was filled with rich descriptions with a really fun plot layered over top.

Violet and Matt have basically the opposite of a meet cute, and start the book off as enemies. They are grumpy sunshine, but with forced proximity, it becomes an adorable banter turned into romance.

I loved the prospect of Violet being an older designer in this fashion program. She had paused her life to follow a partner but that fell through. She went back to her original dream. We love to see someone get back on their feet and fight for what they want and get their happy ending as well. If you are looking for a romantic comedy that will make you smile and make you laugh while transporting you far away this is a great pick 👏🏻

I grew attached to Mira and Jake during their 24 hours in Paris so I was glad to see what happened to them! So glad they got another chance at love in Italy! Part way through the book I was getting worried so I commented on one of Ms. Moondi’s posts on Facebook but her lips were sealed! Glad I stuck around! Loved the great mix of culture and romance!!

I rolled with this book assuming I could read it as a standalone, or maybe switch the order. Turns out the chemistry, backstory, and everything in the story makes no sense whatsoever without the first rendezvous, and that's on me.

I would still like to say that most of this book felt dragged and depressing. Maybe this is more realistic, but I enjoy a not so grievous version of pining with some ice breakers here and there.

Now some scenes we quite brilliant, the mini turning points, which kept me reading till the end. In specific I loved the scene at the beach which is light hearted and also a shift in the story.

What a fun summer read! I loved the whole armchair travel aspect of this book and getting to visit Italy in an hour by hour breakdown. Also LOVED all the special features of this book, including the yummy pasta recipe. Love a second chance romance so this was so much fun to read :)

I really enjoyed this book. I didn’t read the first one, but I am going to read it now because I feel like this was okay to read before the first one but also need to know how it went. This was such a cute and cozy romance. Jake and Mira’s banter was funny, relatable and realistic. I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a second chance romance. It also made me realize I need to visit the Amalfi coast ASAP!

Having not read the first book to this follow up 24 Hours in Paris, I was worried I would be out of the loop on the characters and considering its a romance, feeling left out on the romance. However, when I started this book, the tension and desire between Mira and Jake was palpable. I immediately felt that these two characters were special to each other and I felt the angst right away. The setting of the Amalfi coast where Mira and Jake reunite after two years, was the dreamiest backdrop for the continuation of their story. As I got to know Mira, she became a character I related so much to which is always appreciated as a reader. This story was fun, emotional, fast paced yet provided the sweetest stolen moments. The side characters were lovely and supported both Mira and Jake while being on their own journeys. Like Kwento and Ricardo and Dembe and Eloise. All in all, I devoured this book in 24 hours and it was the perfect backyard, summer read. 4 stars!

Book Review: 24 Hours in Italy by Romi Moondi. I read this back in May and it’s one of those fun, beachy, romance reads. It continues the love story of Mira and Jake that started in 24 Hours in Paris. I enjoyed the depictions of food and scenery and definitely can’t wait to visit Italy myself one day. Overall, it’s a quick romance read but not much depth to the story. Thanks to @netgalley and Wattpad Bills for the free arc. This book publishes July 18th!

This book is difficult to review. I think it is well written, and the setting is glorious. It's Italy, so it should be!

I liked the character of Jake. He seemed like a person I'd know in real life, genuine yet flawed.

But Mira is the problem. I think I'm supposed to genuinely like her, and feel for her, and understand and love her. But she's just so unlikable.

"She longed for and dreaded his words in equal measure." (251)

The worst part is, I don't think she's supposed to be. Sorry, Mira, but it's a no from me.
