Jeaniene Frost is so underrated as a paranormal romance author let me just get that off my chest first and foremost. I have loved her since I discovered the Night Prince series years ago and then of course went back and read most of her Night Huntress series, the woman hasn't disappointed me once. She does not get enough credit for the talent she has for this genre. Give me more Jeaniene Frost, give me special editions, give me books that aren't mass market paperbacks, give me movies and TV shows based on her work...all that stuff!
I was beyond blessed to receive an audiobook ARC of Both Feet in the Grave and was honestly shocked I got approved. Both Feet in the Grave is the second book from Bones's POV in the Night Huntress series and have to say I adored it! Seeing how Bones dealt with the separation was really heart wrenching and tortuous and I couldn't get enough. You could really tell he was so lonely and distraught chasing after any little scrap of evidence of her. You didn't get to see all that when reading One Foot in the Grave (Cat's POV) and it just made me love Bones even more. (Not more than Vlad of course but just more than I had to begin with lol). The anguish he goes through and the absolute terror he feels that she will leave again once they reconcile just got my heart strings all tangled up!
I really love the idea of these books rewritten from Bones's POV because we get to see all of the side business that Cat never saw and we get more info of what happens...it's like the story is expanded and who doesn't want more Bones and Cat?!
I thought Will Watt did a really great job of narrating Bones. I know there was a bunch of talk about him not being as good as Tavia Gilbert's Bones but I really enjoyed the lower gravely voice that Will used and his voice made Bones sound sexier and more elegant and less silly than Tavia did. Will's voice was soothing and the way he was able to switch between American accents and English accents without getting tripped up at all was impressive. I listened to this on my usual 1.25x speed and thought it was a good pace, not a lot of long pauses or lulls at all. I would definitely listen to this series going forward if Will was to narrate them.
Overall really enjoyed Both Feet in the Grave and I'm hoping this series will continue in Bones's POV! Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media and Nancy Yost Literary Agency for providing me with and audiobook ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

After listening to ALL of the books in the Night Huntress series I was PUMPED to be able to finally listen to this one!! And to hear it from Bones perspective!! Fantastic!! And spicy!! Gosh I love Cat and Bones!
Hot and steamy paranormal romance perfection!

Loved visiting my old friend Bones. It has been awhile since I first read this series so visiting again but from Bones's Point of view has been refreshing and fun. I forgot how funny and demanding he is. I also forgot how UNLIKEABLE Ian was in the beginning of this series. I love that Frost is revisiting and giving us this story from Bones's view. Such a fun read.

OK I've read every book in this series and side series. I absolutely love this series and the characters. I wasn't sure how I would feel about reading basically the same book just in Bones perspective but now I need all the books in the others perspective. this includes all the side series. I can not wait to see what comes next.

This book is for the true Night Huntress follower. The story is told from the viewpoint of the lead male character, Bones, and continues his story arc of meeting the love of his life. Events that you knew from the previous books are retold in an entirely different light. As men's and women's viewpoints can be quite different, this became a fun walk down memory lane. The narrator was great at voicing the many characters and his accent was British enough to be engaging but not so foreign that it was hard to understand. Read "The Other Half of the Grave" first if you want the full impact of this latest part of the story.

The Night Huntress series is one of the first series I fell in love with and still remains one of my favourites. I was beyond excited when Jeanine Frost announced that she would be coming out with new books, told from Bones' POV. This makes me love the series even more. The modern updates and slight changes that Frost has made only make the story better. The addition of seeing what Bones was doing and feeling make the series strong and feel more complete. The book still contains the signature humour and heart that I expect from this series and of course all of the amazing side characters are still there.
Both Feet in the Grave could be read as a standalone, however I would strongly recommend either reading The Other Half of the Grave (Bone's POV Book 1) and/or One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress Book 2) for context.
I listened to the audiobook and it was so good. The narrator, Will Watt, did a fantastic job.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the Audio ARC.

Jeaniene Frost is one of my favorite authors, & I love this series, I never thought it could get better, until I listened to Bones point of view. I was missing Bones & Kat, & it’s really amazing to finally know what Bones went through & how deep is his feelings. I listened to the audiobook, & the narration was great.
Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for the ARC.

Thank you for this opportunity. I absolutely loved this book. The narrator was good. I dig diving back into Cat and Bones story from the perspective of Bones. This was an epic listen

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the free e-audio book in exchange for an honest review! LOVED the narration for the audio book by Will Watt! The british accent and sarcasm of Bones and the other vampires was accurately captured...well done!
I really enjoyed this book. I have read a lot of Jeaniene Frost's series and its been awhile since I picked one up. Having the POV of Bones really worked well! If you know this series, then the usual cast of characters are well represented but in a different light as this is mainly narrated by Bones. We get a different glimpse of Cat and her dynamic with Bones and even with Ian.
This is such a fast, addicting read! Clear your calendar as you will not be able to put this one down!
HIghly recommend!!

Having Bones's pov only makes this series even better! I really loved this book! It was so hard to put it down. I truly loved being sucked back into the Night Huntress world. I want to dive right in and continue reading the whole series over again. I hope we get more Bones books in the future I love seeing inside his head.
Will Watt does a wonderful job bringing Bones to life. I liked his narration a lot and I felt like he did a good job with all of the characters. I would love to listen to other books that he narrates. I did listen to the book at about 1.5x for most of the book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the Audio-ARC

I’m personally over the moon to have this series back in my life. I fell in love with Cats version of this story, but hearing Bones version of the story makes me love this even more.
Will is such an amazing narrator and I wouldn’t have asked for anymore more perfect for this story. He’s able to capture feeling and portray that throughout the book.
I cannot get enough of Bones and his side of the stories. Thank you so much NetGalley and JF for the ARC audiobook.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I received an ARC (advanced reader copy) of this audiobook from Netgalley. #Netgalley. I have been a huge fan of Jeaniene Frost and Cat & Bones for years… so it is no great surprise that I absolutely love this book. Will Watt does an admirable job portraying the ever sexy, always charming, vampire heartthrob, Bones.
This story shifts the reader POV (point of view) from that of Cat, to that of Bones. We get to see Cat & Bones reunited after their 4 year separation. I loved this story from Cat’s point of view, and I now love it from Bones’s POV too.
It’s scintillating, sexy, thrilling, and just so, so, SOooooo perfect!!! Don’t miss out!

I've really loved all of the books in the Night Huntress Universe. However, I'm really not a fan of these retellings from another character's POV. I'm sure there are those that will go back and re-read the original story to refresh their memory, but I'm not one of those people. There are too many original books out there that I want to read and I won't go back and rehash something old. But with that being said, author Jeaniene Frost's writing was high quality like usual. And I did remember some of the original story as I listened to this audiobook.
Speaking of audiobooks, this one didn't impress me. Specifically the narrator - Will Watt. As I was listening, I could've sworn that Bones's accent changed. I assumed this was because Mr. Watt was American. I did a search and found that he's British. So I had to second guess myself and maybe it was just my untrained ear mis-hearing the voice. The other part that I was disappointed with was the "spicy" scenes. They really came off bland and boring, rather than sultry and sexy.
I wish this would've been a more positive review, but I wasn't impressed with the overall package.
Thank you to Nancy Yost Literary Agency and NetGalley for an ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I certainly am enjoying the re-telling of the Night Huntress series through Bones' eyes. In audiobook form, I do miss some of Cat's trademark snark from Tavia Gilbert but Will Watt does an excellent job as Bones.
