It's been such a long time since I read Percy Jackson, but reading this brought back those good memories. This chapter sampler was so good. I have the barest idea of what's gone down in the Percy Jackson universe since the end of Heroes of Olympus, but I'm still excited as hell to read this.

Once again, Rick Riordan and written an award-winning fantasy novel that my 4th grade students will climb over each other to read. The Percy Jackson series is always a hit with the 10 year-olds. This installation held my attention from start to finish. It will be added to the reading rotation in our classroom next year.

Well we already knew this was going to be amazing. But did you pick the perfect place to stop this sample of course you did. I am so excited to see how this book plays out. I love this series and am so excited that Rick Riordan is giving us another chance to explore it. Thank you so much for the taste. I can't wait to get the book real soon.

I just reviewed From the World of Percy Jackson: The Sun and the Star by Rick Riordan; Mark Oshiro. #FromtheWorldofPercyJacksonTheSunandtheStar #NetGalley

Riordan never fails. This ARC preview of the new collaboration book with Mark Oshiro was wonderfully put together and intriguing. It is everything that the world of Percy Jackson has always been and yet it wonderfully new glimpse into that world thru the eyes of Nico di Angelo and Will Solace. This new story gives so much more than I could have asked for or wanted. I absolutely cannot wait to read the full book upon its release date!

*I will update my review to included the entire book once it has been released.*

WE"RE BACK BABES!

First and most importantly, Nico and Will are so adorable together.

Though Nico, Will's "grumpy little ball of darkness," can't get a voice of someone stuck in Tarturus who he believes to be Bob (friend, titan, amnesiac). Nico accepts Rachel's prophecy to go to Tarturus, and Will won't let him go alone, so they embark on a quest with a prophecy that states, "there leave something of equal value behind." *ominous music*

I can't wait to read the full book and hopefully see Nico being a powerful death-weilding demigod (and MY BABIES SAFE AND HAPPY AT THE END, RICK).

Thank you to Netgalley and Disney Hyperion for the advance chapters in exchange for an honest review.

A big thanks to NetGalley and Disney Publishing Worldwide for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I will keep my review short, as to not spoil anything with this highly anticipated release. But boy oh boy, am I glad to once again be in the world of Percy Jackson. I feel a re-read is on the horizon.

The Sun and The Star by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro is middle grade continuation of the very famous, Percy Jackson series with a highlight on the beloved character Nico di Angelo, the son of Hades. Following the many events of Percy Jackson, The Heroes of Olympus, and utter befalling of the Trials of Apollo, Nico has been plagued by despair. With his loving boyfriend, Will Solace, being his only literal ray of sunshine. But everything starts to go sideways, when he starts to have dreams about a reformed Titan by the name of Bob, and how he is in trouble. Thus sparking a grand quest to ensure his safety once again. But will Nico and Will make it out of Tartarus alive?

I will say no more than this, I LOVED this book. And I certainly hope that we get more Nico in the future.

Nice beginning. Their adventure is off to a nice start. I have always enjoyed Nico's characters and I am glad to see him finally get his own quest. I look forward to reading the rest of it.

I loved having the opportunity to read the first five chapters of this book to get a vibe of what the book was going to be and I’m already obsessed. I can’t wait to read the full book and I’m sure that this book is going to hit another one of my favorites

I read a preview of the first 5 chapters provided by Netgalley &I'm so excited to read the rest of the book! I've devoured every book Rick Riordan has written. Circling the publication date on my calendar so I can start scheduling buddy read with my book club now!!

I haven't read the official Percy Jackson series in decades (although I have read PLENTY of fanfiction), but this story brought me right back to nerdy little me wishing to be a camper at Camp Half-Blood. The adventure never stops, especially when it comes to Nico. I was so excited to read a book from his perspective and to interact with his personality more as a reader. This book is just as good as the fanfiction I have read in my days.

I've been a fan Rick Riordan and the Percy Jackson universe for 10 years. Nico di Angelo happens to be my favorite character and one of my all time favorites from any series. I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to read this. It was amazing, as expected.

This was just a teaser of the upcoming novel, but I’m already hooked! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC and letting me check out the first few chapters of Riordan’s newest novel. I’llbe back to finish it when I get the full version!

Giving only 5 chapters of this book is a tease. I am an 30-something year old Percy Jackson Fan, diving into the entire series and sharing the world of Camp Half Blood with My Children ( no worries they are already obsessed) Now i have to not so patiently wait until 5/2 to read the rest of this book.

Curses!!

I’ve been a fan of Percy Jackson for about half of my life at this point, and reading this sample of the newest in the series was truly something special, especially for somebody who grew up reading all of these books. There are already so many things for me to be excited about, and I’m so glad we’re getting this book so soon.

It was immensely cruel of y’all to give this to us without the full manuscript… I feel like I’m being tortured.

That being said… wow. I could not be more excited for this book! PJO will always be big in my heart!

I realise now that deciding to read these first five chapters of this book was a huge mistake. How’s one supposed to survive until the whole book is available?

I don’t think I’ve ever loved Nico di Angelo more than I do now, and I’m so scared of what is to come in this story.

As with most of Rick Riordan’s books, I was sucked into it right from the first page. I still haven’t read any other books by Mark Oshiro but from what I’ve seen so far, their writing is only bringing benefits to this book.

These five chapters gives us a small taste of our dear main characters e some old friends. They show a lot of what Nico has been through since first Percy Jackson series, and they ask us to be prepare for where the book will take us and what’s might be at stake.

I absolutely cannot wait to read the whole book as soon as possible.

I have religiously followed the Percy Jackson world since it came out and was so excited when Rick Riordan announced that Nico was getting the spotlight in this collaboration with Mark Oshiro. I was a little sad that this was only a sneak peak but definitely made me excited to read the full novel! And I can't wait to share my reading opinions with my little readers!!
