My husband and I are planning a London trip for this fall and as soon as I read the title I knew I needed this book on hand to help plan our trip!
This book gave such a great insights and little hidden gems for us to add to our itinerary. The photos really added to the overall vibe and drew me into each location more. Overall, I really liked how it was organized as well very easy to navigate through

I ADORED this book. I am a huge anglophile, and it was so cool to see all these little nooks and crannies and best kept secrets of London I had mostly never heard of. I can't wait to go back and visit them all in person!

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion for the ARC!

This is a great resource for a trip to the UK. the UK has more to offer than London and these authors have found the gems. The authors give distance from London, places to see, where to stay and where to eat and get drinks.

I liked the honesty in the book. One town in particular didn’t give them a good first impression, but it was given a second chance.

This book is full of tips! Tips on getting the best pictures, what to pack and how to make the most of your trip.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

This book was lovely if you want to see the surrounding area to London - my thoughts on it was that it would be a what to do in London itself

A while ago, I read 'Pretty Little London' and this is the follow-up, showcasing places to visit that are within easy reach of London.

What I particularly like with this type of book is the juxtaposition of photographs with just enough information to whet the appetite. There are also lots of suggestions for eating and drinking, places to visit, local walks, and photo opportunities.

This is an ideal coffee table book and will give you plenty of ideas for destinations for day trips or long weekends. Some, like Cornwall, obviously can't be done in one day from London but can be combined with others that are closer to make a longer trip.

If you are on Instagram, you will gain even more from this book as the authors post a lot of content on there, including videos.

I received a free digital ARC of this book via Quarto Publishing Group - White Lion, and am leaving my honest appraisal voluntarily.

From the creators (Sara Santini & Andrea Di Filippo) of Instagram account "Pretty Little London" comes a very aesthetically pleasing book featuring various unique and lovely trips to take outside of London. I found this book to be very engaging and easy to read--it's organized in an easy-to-follow manner and I now have so many more places that I want to visit in England thanks to the info! I really like that suggested trip lengths (and distances from London) are included. While many of the places to stay that are mentioned are very much outside my budget, it is nice to dream! While it seemed like the places to stay were all over my budget, the many of the activities/eateries seemed budget-friendly. I'm planning on going back to England next summer, and I can definitely see myself revisiting this book while planning!

The photos are stunning (as one would expect) and I loved all the tips on where and when to take good photos while visiting the places mentioned. I think my only critique is that I wish the photos included captions so that it was clearer what the photo was of.

It's kind of obvious to say this book is pretty but, man, is it pretty! The pictures are beautiful and, while geared to Instagram influencers or aspiring influencers, it's not overtly so. I mean, I'm super old and I didn't grumble about social media once! If you are visiting London for a short period of time I don't think this book will be incredibly helpful but if (lucky) you are in England for a month or longer this is definitely a book to add to the planning library.

Pretty, but there's no substance to it.

This book was full of beautiful photos and great tips on visiting some of the most picturesque areas of London. I got so many ideas on places to visit in this book and I can’t wait to go. I would like to thank the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this eBook.

Pretty Little London: Trips by Sara Santini and Andrea Di Filippo is a beautiful travel guide to London and its surrounding towns and charming villages. It is very informative along with some gorgeous pictures which makes me want to add every place mentioned to my travel bucket list. However I do wish more information had been given about the picture in each page. Every pages mentions about half a dozen pub/shop suggestions and the reader has no idea which one is related to the picture on that page.

This book is really an Instagram in a book. Lots of pretty pictures and a rough guide to places. As a physical copy, it would make a great present and browsing book. BUT it is misleading ....From the title, I expected it to be about places on the outskirts of London. This book includes Scotland! You wouldn't have much time there on a day trip! Publisher note, a book about unusual places to go to just outside London would be a much more appealing find.

Thank you to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group - White Lion, Sara Santini and Andrea Di Filipino for providing me with a digital ARC of this book. This is a user friendly guide to destinations easily reached from London. It is an excellent resource for travelers as well as residents of London. Armchair travelers would enjoy this as well. Filled with beautiful photos and informative descriptions, this is a delightful book. Although not the typical size, this would make a nice addition to a stack of coffee table books. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

I received this eARC from NetGalley and the publisher in return for an honest review.

This guide identifies 17 towns, including familiar names like Cambridge, Oxford, Bath and Edinburgh, Scotland, and lesser known places like Lincoln and Wells; 13 coastal towns and regions (such as Cornwall); and 20 countryside trips, mostly consisting of manors offering resort-like experiences, but also a few day trips to the countryside.

This is not a detailed logistical guide. The accompanying narrative for each locale is breezy, providing a bird’s eye view of the locale and the author’s favorite activities for that locale. The highlight of this book is the Instagram-worthy photos. Between the photos and narrative, there’s about one to two pages dedicated to each locale.

This book is nice to look at, and it will likely give some ideas of places to visit outside of London, but you’ll want to find other resources to plan the trip.

London (and England, frankly) is always a good idea. (Apologies, but not really, to Julia Ormond's Sabrina and Paris! #sorrynotsorry) And this read reminds me exactly why that's true. The country is beautiful, historic, and versatile; it truly has something (or _somethings_, plural) for everyone.

I've been blessed to travel already to a number of the places mentioned, and this makes me both want to revisit each of them and explore new places, especially some of the lesser-known Cotswold towns. And I definitely had a Jane Austen geek-out moment when Box Hill got featured; the authors might not have mentioned it ;), but this _Emma_ fangirl loved its inclusion. (This miiiight have been the spot of one of my favorite scenes: Knightley's telling Emma off for insulting Miss Bates. "It was badly done, Emma. Badly done, indeed!" [And definitely not the scene I judge every _Emma_ film adaptation by. Nope. Not at all. Will it live up to Mark Strong's delivery?!] But I digress.)

A great collection of inspo for your next day/weekend-trip excursion in Britain.

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
