Wow! what a rollercoaster ride. If you like fast paced, suspenseful thrillers, this is the book for you. Lucy and Adam and Cora and Scott are very close and do almost everything together. One day, Lucy was looking at a colleague's honeymoon pictures when she sees Scott with another woman who is not his wife and her best friend Cora. This moment makes Lucy's life unravel and break into pieces not knowing what's real and what isn't. She decides to investigate this before telling Cora but during her investigation, the woman in the picture disappears and secrets and lies come to the surface. This book will keep you on the edge. While I did enjoy the journey, I felt it was easy to guess the WHO.

But Lucy’s commitment to finding out the truth was well worth the read.

The pacing fluctuates, but there are enough twists to keep the reader intrigued.

Helen Cooper is an author with all the tricks up her sleeve! This book tore me to shreds and kept me completely guessing the entire time. The suspense continues to build to the very end and then it all compiles to blow you away. The main character Lucy is such an endearing, hopeful gal and the tumultuous emotional rollercoaster she is quite literally thrown upon pulls you right into the upsidedown inside out along with her! Stunning suspense at its finest!

I really liked the premise and thought it sounded interesting and believable - how many times has someone's life changed because of something as innocuous as a photo?!? I also enjoyed the author's writing style and while third-person made it a bit hard to feel like a true thriller, it was an interesting way to hear the story. I thought it was well-paced and found it following a real-life tempo, which was also refreshing! I did find it kind of hard to get into in the beginning and found the twists predictable, but all in all it was an enjoyable read. I could see this being a fun poolside novel or plane travel companion for sure!

I absolutely loved this book. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t stop. The plot was great and had me guessing the entire time. I’m a sucker for plot twists, and this twist is probably one of my favorites. Definitely one of my top favorites for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever read one of Helen’s books, but I really enjoyed her writing style and will be reading more of her books.

Super twisty and keeps you guessing til the end. This book will make you question how well you really know the people in your life.

The first half of this was very slow for me. It felt like a chore to get through it. The second half really picked up and had me second guessing a lot of things. Over all I recommend this mysterious thriller friendship gone wrong book.

It's bad enough she suspects her BFF's husband is having an affair, but when the mystery woman turns up dead, Lucy begins to think Scott is a murderer as well. On her hunt for the truth, Lucy uncovers unsettling information about Scott, Cora... and even her husband.

It was easy to figure out exactly what was going on in this book from early on, so if you're looking for unexpected twists and turns, skip this one. Overall the story was just okay for me.

I really enjoyed this thriller. The story is about Lucy and Adam and Scott and Cora, two couples that are best friends and quickly jumps into the action. Within the first chapter, you discover that while viewing her colleague's honeymoon photos, Lucy sees a photo of Scott on vacation with another woman. Lucy becomes obsessed with the photo and getting to the bottom of what happened - especially when the woman Scott is with in the photo is reported missing. I couldn't put the book down!

Lucy has a seemingly idyllic life. Her sweet caring husband Adam and their married best friends Scott and Cora are an impenetrable unit and are practically family. But when Lucy sees a picture of Scott with another woman on vacation, she starts to realize that not everything is as it seems and when the woman in the picture goes missing Lucy must take a closer look at the people she loves most and consider that they may not be who she thought they were.

This book has you questioning everything from the very beginning. I liked Lucys commitment to the truth and how she was determined to get answers no matter what obstacles stood in her way. It was a bit predictable as I was able to discern who the killer was pretty early on and also who was the main conspirator. I was still able to enjoy the unfolding of the story, but I also think the story could have benefited from tighter pacing and a little less exposition.

Wow, holy crap this book was full of crazy twists I never expected and I absolutely couldn’t get enough of it!

Two couples to and their respective children from a tight best friend group.. Scott, Cora, and Adam have all known each other since they went
to university together. Then Adam met and married Lucy. Now each couple has two children and they are renovating a holiday cottage together. One day Lucy sees a picture from her colleagues honeymoon and Scott is in the picture with a woman who is not his wife, Cora. Lucy's world is thrown into immediate upheaval. Adam doesn't believe her as Lucy has a tendency to snoop into other people's business and overreact to situations which aren't true. Scott begins acting erratically. Lucy's colleague begins avoiding her and the mystery woman in the photo is reported missing.. And who is penning the menacing diary like entries? This is my third book by this author and I highly recommend all her books. Tight storytelling and tense plots. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC!

This book started out just like any other thriller but the farther in I got, the more confused I became. I thought for sure I would be able to guess what happened and I spent most the book sure I knew who was guilty but I was wrong. I didn’t catch on to any of the twists until they were actually happening and for me, that’s what makes a thriller fun. I like to be surprised and got off guard. Such a fun and twisty ride!

I enjoyed this read, at times I think it was super slow and then it got super fast without stopping.

I had no idea who killed Juliet until the end but I knew Adam's game as soon as Lucy thought the photo of Guy and Juliet looked photoshopped and I knew then we were going to be on the ride of our lives.

I think the ending was wrapped up well with Lucy putting her life back together while Adam served time for what he had done.

Wow. I did not realize just how much this story had my stomach wrenching along with Lucy’s until all the pieces finally came together. The Couple in the Photo is a thrilling story of two families bound together by friendship, marriage and long buried secrets. But the complexity of the group was known to only one. But who??

This book gave “I Know What You Did Last Summer“ vibes. When Lucy sees a picture of her friend with another woman, she gets pulled down a rabbit hole trying to find answers to her many questions. This book kept me on my toes once I got about 20% of the way in. The twists just kept coming.

The couple in the photo: The premise of this book and the cover intrigued me. I liked the main character, Lucy, and while at times she may have appeared obsessive, I was right there alongside her. Overall, this was a fast paced book that had me hooked pretty much immediately. I did find myself guessing the ending about half way through, but there were still some unexpected twists at the end. A good beach read; I’d give this book 3.5 stars.

This was the perfect definition of a page-turner for me. I read it while on an airplane and was actually upset when I had to put it down for landing. The plot keeps you guessing and questioning just how much we really know about the people closest to us. When Lucy happens to see a familiar face who never should have been in her coworkers’ honeymoon pictures, her rather ordinary life is set on a collision course that turns up secrets and lies she never could have imagined. The author has written a thriller that keeps you quickly turning the pages. There are many twists and turns that keeps you guessing throughout the story. The two couples in the story along with their children had a strong bond. three of the adults knew each other for many years while in school. Lucy, Adam's wife, was initially the new one in the group. She quickly bonded with Cora and they became best friends.
