this book has such great premise and plot.
if you guys love a historical romance you will probably love this. im impressed about how the author write the story even though it is not my personal style. i can feel the situation by how the writer describe it.
if you love rivals to lovers, historical romance, and disability rep, i really encourage you to read this! (don't forget to check some TW too)
however i did not finish the book and i am so sad for myself, cause it has a very very big potential for me. but i realized maybe i haven't get into historical romance yet.

It’s the first book in the series that I have read and the most recent. It’s a solid story of a found family. I found it confusing to have so many characters and honestly couldn’t tell them apart. The Mystery was standard, and the plot didn’t change or surprise. It was a quick read, and I read it in one go. It felt too much and yet not enough at the same time.
I received an ARC from Forever & NetGalley for my honest review.

I’ve only read a couple of Erica Ridley books, one in this, The Wild Wynchesters series. The Wynchesters are a delightful family who operate within society (barely) but run cons and have wild escapades usually for a worthy cause. They are very accepting and embracing of their family members and the partners they love. In this book Marjorie Wynchester is trying to figure out who is passing counterfeits and her suspicion lands on Lord Adrian Webb.
Lord Webb is a second son and estranged from his family. He fled to Paris when his father cast him out seven years earlier. He is an artist, and has been making copies of vases and priceless works selling them to wealthy patrons through Mr. Snowley of the British Museum. But now his contact wants him to make forgeries of coins and has no problem holding him prisoner to do it. The fun picks up when Marjorie ends up being held with him. There is attraction, banter and of course with her family involved, eventually mayhem.
If you want traditional historical romance this isn’t for you. If you don’t mind bending the rules these stories are delightfully fun. I especially like the other siblings and spouses are part of the story. Because I’ve read their book, I loved reconnecting with Tommy and Philippa (The Perks of Loving a Wallflower Oct 2021). I am looking forward to Elizabeth’s story next.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

Unfortunately, this was a big miss for me, and I have enjoyed all the other books in this series! I was completely unable to connect with the two MCs as a couple. They were just...boring. I didn't see why they liked each other, so the chemistry was entirely absent. One minute they meet, the next he is lusting over her and waxing poetic about how nice she smells. It came across as weird, rather than romantic or sexy. The plot also felt off, to the point where I couldn't see the point of it. I found myself with little enthusiasm to pick up the book to find out where it was leading. So for the lack of chemistry and the disjointed plot, I had to set it down at the 50% mark as a DNF.

This adventurous Wynchester family continues to delight!
This series keeps me guessing on what is going to surprise me next.
This group of siblings is very much a found family and their unwavering support of each other is so heartwarming. You can definitely read this as a standalone, but you’ll have a more complete picture of this wild family if you start with book one.
Aiden was a delight to read, his happy go lucky sarcasm made me laugh multiple time (especially when it ticked some of the other characters off). I loved Marjorie, her backstory, and partial deafness was highlighted so well, and she really came into her true self in this book.
I am eager to read the last two books of this series, these characters are so unique!

The Wynchesters are the family I would love to have. Loving, accepting, clever, and just plain fun. And I loved Marjorie. Partially deaf but not willing to let that stop her, Marjorie is ready to prove herself as capable as the other members of her notorious family. Lord Adrian Webb is a bit less likable, at least at first. He has made a true living off of forgery, though doing so in a way that allows the rich to think they are getting treasures while in reality the treasures stay where they were found. Adrian was banished from London a decade before. Back to try and renew his relationship with his sister, he instead ends up a sort of indentured servant forger of the man to whom he used to pass of his goods as real.
Marjorie walks into Adrian's "prison", determined to take the forgery - and overall crime - ring down. Eventually Adrian and she begin to work together. And Adrian shows himself to be an ideal partner. He accepts Marjorie as she is, he believes in her strength and he trusts in her instincts and abilities. This in turn allows Marjorie to grow and to achieve her goals.
Loved this one - 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary ARC of this book. The opinions herein are my own.

This was so fun! I want to read the rest of the series. I loved Adrienne’s and Majorie’s banter. It was a sweet and lighthearted read. I can’t wait for Elizabeth’s story.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this e arc in exchange for my honest review.

I didn't realize My Rogue to ruin was the fourth in a series, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it! A very delightful book. Perhaps some back knowledge of the secondary characters would have been a bonus, but the book stood up on its own.
I devoured the book in a day, and kept reading wanting to know how they were going to get out of the mess they were in. I was drawn into the hijinks and especially loved Tickletums. Just would have liked a little more development on Marjorie and Adrian's relationship. Now I will need to go back and read the others!

I will admit after not loving the third book in this series I was apprehensive about reading My Rogue to Ruin. I have loved Marjorie from the beginning, especially when she set up a painting studio for Faircliffe once she found out he wished to paint. The opening of the book had all the usual Wynchester dramatic flair but I found I wasn't fully able to connect with it. I finally found the connection once we got Marjorie and Adrian together in the room to forge the coins. I loved the banter between them and how Marjorie, no matter her inner self doubt, projected her 'I am a superior forger' in front of Snowley and his guards. And how Adrian was doing his best to be the consummate rogue so as not to have another person dragged into the mess he was trying to extricate himself out of. He instantly felt protective of Marjorie. It did have a hint of insta-love at the meet cute between the couple; but I could feel it at the the moment Adrian spotted Marjorie doing one of the things he had always wished to, that he could have fallen for her. OH and I also loved how Marjorie's plans did not always go off without a hitch, it gave more credence to the story for me and upped not only her feelings of inferiority which she was trying to work through but also allowed for Adrian to be a much needed support.
Adrian's connection with his sister and having been banished by his father and elder brother, really drew me to his character. This need to reforge a relationship with Iris after seven years, largely propelling his decisions contrasted as well as complimented Marjorie's wish to prove herself while out in the field to her own siblings. The family dynamics were especially strong within this novel.
Having buddy read My Rogue to Ruin, I was finding that those of the group who had not read the previous novels were finding it more difficult to connect with the characters and the story. And although My Rogue to Ruin could be read as a standalone, as well as the previous novels in the series, it might serve the reader and the novel better to read them in order. Especially as a reader who loves the siblings I really want the novel to be shown in its best light. The found family aspects of this novel are unparalleled for me, and I am so looking forward to Elizabeth and Jacob's stories!

This is a fun book. Marjorie knows that her family loves her. There is no doubt in that, but do they see her as being as capable as the rest of the Wynchester’s? Yes, she may not be able to hear as well, and her only real talent is art. Yet when a case comes to them with counterfeit coins, an artist is the perfect person to try and infiltrate the scam. There Marjorie meets the rouge, Adrian. There is no need for introduction his reputation proceeds him. Yet the more time Marjorie spends with him the more she realizes that there might be more to this rouge then what has been reported.
Both characters are extremely strong and a pleasure to get lost in. I love that the story is told from both of their perceptions. It is done flawlessly. I also love the Winchester’s the remind me of the Regency version of one of my favorite tv shows Leverage. Before starting this book, I didn’t realize that this is part of a series, but honestly it didn’t matter. This book reads easily as a standalone book, though I do think readers will be intrigued enough to read more in this series. I know that I am.
Thank you so much to Forever Grand Publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book.

I feel like I’m missing something with this book. I see so many glowing reviews, but I was not able to get into this story. I’ve been trying to read this book off and on for weeks but I cannot get into it. I ended up DNFing (which I absolutely hate to do) around 65%. I really tried to give this book a chance, but it was causing me to enter a reading slump and I just had to give up.
I felt like the romance was really underdeveloped and there were a lot of strange things added in that didn’t make sense to me, namely the way that animals were trained to do tasks that just made no sense?? I might be missing something since I haven’t read the other books in the Winchester universe which may have given additional context to the dynamics of the siblings and their antics.

First of all, let me say this was such a fun read!
Lord Adian Webb just wants to redeem himself and spend more time with his sister. The criminal he has been forging work for won't let him go. Enter Marjorie Wynchester who has seen the coins that were forgeries. She is able to convince the criminal that she can make better forgeries than Adrian. She is really there to find out where all the jewelry taken from the Wynchester's clients is being hidden.
This was a very funny at times read with lots of interesting characters and a few animals.
I loved the chemistry and banter between Adrian and Majorie.
This is the fourth book in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone.

This was such a fun historical romance to read! I had no idea that this is the fourth book in a series, but that's definitely a testament to Erica Ridley's writing because I didn't feel like I was missing any information that would have been introduced in the previous books.
There's no banter quite like Regency banter, and Marjorie and Adrian certainly prove that. They are both so witty and quick which makes the story that much more fun to read. I love how their feelings slowly begin deepening but the romance remains sweet and lighthearted.
If you're looking for a quick read with a sweet romance and witty banter, this is the book for you!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ It's a Heist
✔️ Opposites Attract
I love Erica Ridley's Wild Wynchester's book and the latest edition My Rogue to Ruin was exactly what I was looking for in my favorite rom-com historical series.
Firstly, I loved that most of the book is truly forced proximity - ie. trapped in a room together! To see them going from sniping at each other to slowly trusting each other to falling in love was so sweet.
As much as I enjoyed the love story, I have to say that the heist element was even more enjoyable. I think this is my favorite plot in the series so far. The twists and turns were clever and it was wonderful to see Marjorie come into her own.

Banter 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Swoon 💕💕💕

A romp of a Regency romance between two , ahem, artists. Marjorie and Aiden make a delightful pair- good bantering among other things, I'd not read the earlier books in this series but that was ok because it's one that features one sibling at a time thus making each fine as a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Enjoyable read.

I love an interconnected family driven historical romance series. And I think the romance community agrees with me. There is no better feeling than when a character we’ve already come to love gets their chance at happily ever after. My Rogue to Ruin is the fourth book in the The Wild Wynchesters series. This time around Marjorie and Adrian our our our main couple, and we get to enjoy all of the hijinks that ensue with our series regulars. I have recommended this series to lots of people and will continue to do so!
Thank you to #Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

My Rogue to Ruin by Erica Ridley is an incredibly enjoyable historical romance novel. I was captivated by the delightful banter between Marjorie and Adrian, and I found both characters to be intriguing in their own right. This added depth to the romantic plot and enhanced the overall appeal of the book. The romance itself was light-hearted, making it a delightful and swift read. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates historical romances.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for this ARC. This was very lighthearted and easy to read, but the story itself dragged a little long. The romance was sort of instantaneous and it felt a little underdeveloped at times (maybe because the scheming got so much more attention by comparison). Adrian was likable and very In Trouble but I found Majorie shined with more in depth and an emotional arc. Fun characters, lots of cute hijinx with animals, and a (slightly convoluted?) art heist.

My Rogue to Ruin is the fourth installment in The Wild Wynchesters series, and is Marjorie’s story. Marjorie is the partially deaf sister who is an artist. She uses her talents to forge just about anything needed, and also has an eidetic memory. In addition, she has synesthesia in both color and smell. I found her to be very interesting and engaging.
Lord Adrian Webb, Marjorie’s love interest, is an aristocrat ejected by from his family by his father. He is an artist who supported himself on the Continent by making forgeries of ancient artifacts and selling them to a criminal overlord as the real thing. His gambit is discovered by the mastermind, and his jeopardy and the caper story begins.
This is another fun story of the Wynchesters with ruses and capers and kissing (and more). I didn’t like this one as much as the prior books. The romance fell into place a little too quickly for me and felt a little on the surface. A lot of the story takes place in one room and one building, which I think slowed the momentum of the adventure usually in the Winchesters’ novels. It’s an enjoyable book for sure, but not the best of the bunch.
My thanks to the author, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are strictly my own.

Adrian, having been cast out by his father, is forced to make a living by his art. He is able to recreate some of the best pieces of art and sells them to Snowley. When Adrian returns to London and Snowley learns of his deceit, Snowley employs Adrian (by force) to mint British coins.
Marjorie is quite the artist too. When one of the Wynchesters clients has a bad dealing with Snowley, Marjorie sets out to right it by volunteering to mint the same coins Adrian is, but better.
While trying to find a way out for Adrian and fix the wrong for the Wynchesters client, Adrian and Marjorie begin to see more for themselves than just art, each other.
Opinion
This is the fourth in the Wild Wynchesters series. I highly suggest you go back to the beginning and start there. This is a series you will not want to miss.
If you have been here for the series from the beginning, prepare yourself for even more hi-jinks. I absolutely laughed out loud while reading this. The shenanigans put on by the Wynchesters live up to the first three books in the series. What makes this one unique though, is that Marjorie gets to lead. Her hard of hearing leads them into some funny situations.
I can't praise Erica Ridley enough. Her Wild Wynchesters is a favorite series of mine (though she has quite a few great series.) I truly find it hard to believe that there are only four in this series but that means there are even more for me to read in the future.
Many thanks to Net Galley and to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for providing me with an ARC of this book.
