I think this is a book best read in its order in the series. I made the mistake of reading it without reading the others first, and I just couldn't get into it. Too many characters, too much backstory I didn't understand. That being said, I'm sure it would be a totally different scenario if I had read the rest of the series first.

Erica Ridley's Wynchester series are all fun, light hearted romances dashed with a bit of adventure and mystery set in the 1800s in England. I really enjoy how each book gives a little deeper look into each member of the family and their story. While I still enjoyed and recommend this title, it felt a bit more limited since the characters are mostly confined to one space for the majority of the story.

Another fun anachronistic romance in the Wild Winchesters series. I wasn't as into this one as the previous books in the series, probably due to the location. Having the majority of the book take place in one location made it feel much less dynamic than there previous installments. However, it was still a fun read and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Lord Adrien Webb has been deemed a scoundrel by his father and society. When Adrien's father sends him away to the Continent, he is left penniless. In order to survive, Adrien finds himself forging priceless art and selling his own works to English snobs who can't tell the difference. All goes well, until he is blackmailed into committing treason. In steps the Wynchester family and their daring capers. Marjorie, who has been left hard of hearing due to a childhood illness that left her orphaned, has always let her siblings take the lead when it comes to planning daring rescues. But her artistic skill is needed to figure out who in London is scamming the poor citizens with counterfeit coins. It doesn't take long for Marjorie's search to lead her right to Lord Adrien. Marjorie must now reconcile her mixed feelings for Adrien and how she is going to save them both. This is a read that you will not want to put down. The chemistry between Lord Adrien and Marjorie is fire and sizzles through the whole book. A page turner that will keep you on edge and hopeful for the future of Marjorie and Lord Adrien.

I'm normally not a fan of historical romance series that involve family members with special 'powers'. They stretch the imagination so far that it falls into the absurd. That said, this story was well written but hard to follow since I had not read the first 3 books of the series. Marjorie Wynchester's talent is painting, with the ability to 'see and smell' the colors of a person to make up for her poor hearing. She finds herself working side-by-side with disgraced Lord Adrian Webb, who is indentured to an unscrupulous pawnbroker to settle a debt. They develop feelings for each other, which convinces the villain that they should never be freed. Enter her various family members, with their special talents, to the rescue. The story progresses to the happily-ever-after with all outstanding problems falling neatly by the wayside.

Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC!

Admittedly this is the first book in this series I've read so I did go in without the backstory that may have been included in the first 3 books.

However, the Wynchester family was no less a fun book to read and I enjoyed it quite a bit!

Adrian is a rake, a rogue, a scoundrel, and he and Marjorie Wynchester are brought together to bring down an actual bad guy. Adrian shows quickly that he's not really as bad as his reputation may seem, and it's a classic case of guys falls first and guy falls hard.

Marjorie was a lovely FMC and I really enjoyed her tenacious personality - though not always the most consistent writing, Marjorie was a great character.

It was cute! 3.5 Stars.

This book was adorable. I loved the time period and the story kept me interested. There were so many elements that I enjoyed getting to know. This is my first book by Erica Ridley so I have not read any of the other Winchester stories, but I think I might. All of the characters were entertaining and even the bad guys were presented so well. This book could almost make a Powerpuff Girl with the sugar, spice and everything nice!

Thank you to #NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC. As I am my own person, all of the above opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley for this book.
In this book we follow Marjorie Wynchester, on of the Wynchester siblings. Marjorie’s skill with the family involves art, making replicas of things and paintings. Marjorie and her family decide to help women who are being conned out of their belongs by Snowley and given fake coins as payment but look like the real deal. Marjorie decides to infiltrate Snowley’s operation. It is revealed that Lord Adrian is the man that is making the counterfeit coins against his will because he sold Snowley counterfeit pieces to sell to wealthy lords. Marjorie soon learns the truth and Adrian decides to help Marjorie and her family with their mission and they take his sister as a client after Snowley reveals he has the papers that show that Iris, Adrian’s sister, has a gambling problem and owes money to Snowley which Adrian would have to pay off. The family ends up stopping Snowley who ends up going to prison but in order for the charges to stick Adrian had to turn himself in in order to do so. Adrian and Marjorie fall in love during all of this and end up engaged at the end of the story. Adrian’s father ends up letting him back into the family and gives his daughter Iris money in order to live the life she has been wanting. This was such a sweet story and I can’t wait for the next book in the series

I love the Wynchester series - and this book is a great addition. This is Marjorie's story in which she meets Lord Adrian Webb. Both of them learn about self-confidence in this book in different way. I smiled while reading this story, and cheered on both Marjorie and Adrian. This is a book (and series) that I will reread - and recommend with no hesitation.

My Rogue to Ruin is a fun romp of a love story. Filled with action and adventure along with some steamy romance, readers will enjoy the thrill of the chase and two main characters who find their voice, purpose, and each other.

If you enjoy, rivals-to-lovers and forced proximity tropes, with hard of hearing representation and a story that’s action packed, make sure to add this one to your TBR!

Happy Reading ~ Cece

I came to this book without having read any of the previous books in the series and without knowing anything about the Wild Wynchesters, so this one came as a pleasant surprise. Like many Regency romance series, this Wyld Wynchesters series centers on a family of siblings. But unlike many such series, the Wynchesters are adopted, and they come from different ethnic backgrounds. This adds far more diversity than you typically find in family-centered series. Some of the Wynchester siblings are people of color; some are queer; some (like one of the protagonists of this book) are disabled. I really liked this aspect of the series. I am all here for making the Regency more diverse!

I suspect that if you've already read other Wild Wynchesters novels, you know what to expect from this volume. There are some zany, madcap capers, cute animals doing improbable tasks, a family of lovable eccentrics, a central romance plot, lots of kissing and a little steam.

As far as characters go, I liked both Marjorie and Adrian, though I got a little tired of Adrian's self-esteem problems. He made some mistakes in the past, but the way he feared rejection from his last loving family member was heartbreaking. I loved Marjorie's unusual relationship to color (I assume she has synesthesia, though of course the book could not use that word) and the way she was able to use her lipreading and sign language skills to her benefit.

The ending seems to be setting things up for the next book, which I will probably read. But first, I'm going to go back and read the earlier ones!

I'm not sure how I got here, in the middle of the series no less, but I kind of wish I hadn't come. I guess it's cute...ish, but I couldn't seem to engage.

This book, simply put, was adorable. It’s a very sweet, uncomplicated regency romance—while it lacked some of the drama you may expect from historical romance, it is still really lovely.

However, I found that the relationship development felt weak and the book left me wanting a bit more. A bit more plot, emotional, and relationship development—it fell flat in these three key areas.

This book is a great palette cleanser for those stuck in ruts or wanting something fresh.

Marjorie Wynchester has always helped her family and their “tasks” but still wants to do more. She mostly stays behind, but she wants to be in the thick of it. That’s where she meets Lord Adrian Webb, right in the thick of it.

The action was fast pace and the love story was right there all along. I love how Adrian never doubts Marjorie and against her better judgement she can’t help falling for him.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

I am in love with historical romance books and this is my first historical romance book by Erica Ridley and I am excited to read more by Erica Ridley! First of all, the cover is so cute and I love cute covers hehehe. This book is definitely an easy romance read and there is not much angst-ness in this book. The chemistry between Adriana and Majorie is there but the tension between them isn’t really at high stake if that makes sense??? I will be back to read more about the Wynchester family and their dynamic is interesting and I want to know more about her family.

Thank you Erica Ridley, NetGalley, and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Another fun addition to the wild Winchesters. Marjorie becomes involved with Adrian who has been on the continent for years estranged from his family. He took the brunt for his older brother’s mistake and his father has nothing to do with him. While in Paris, Adrian was producing forged works of art and selling them in England. Upon his return to England several years later, he is held hostage by a notorious criminal and forced to make counterfeit money. As Marjorie and Adrian navigate their romantic relationship, a myriad of circumstances threaten their potential happiness.
Enjoyable read.

Thank you to netgalley for giving me an arc of the newest Winchester Family Book in exchange for an honest review.

Erica Ridley writing big family scenes with all the Winchesters and their shenanigans is her bread and butter. I could read those scenes forever.
I loved the concept of this story. Forced proximity will always do it for me.
My only complaint was the relationship developed did a lot of telling instead of showing. Hard for me to believe that these two people fell in love so quick.

I picked this up when it was available as Read Now. I haven't read any of the other books and even though this could possibly be read as a standalone just fine, I had a hard time getting into it once all the Wynchesters came into the story. I also just didn't feel very interested in Marjorie or Adrian or their romance.

For such an angst-filled storyline, I found myself laughing out loud on numerous occasions. Majorie and Adrian’s story was exciting and adventurous. The Wynchesters were amazing as always. What a wonderful installment in the series, and as always, it can be read as a standalone. The romance was subtle and slow, like real life. The believability made the book that much more enjoyable.

Erica Ridley is a dependable historical romance for me and I enjoyed this one nearly as much as her others. It follows Adrian, a “spare” son, and Marjorie of the Wynchester family. My only qualm with this book is that I feel it would have been better to read the first books in the series. This one is the fourth and the family dynamics were confusing. It was a good read, however, and I am sure if you are a fan of the series that you will like this one as well.
