The fourth book in the Wild Wynchesters series, another great story that held my interest throughout. Lord Adrian Webb an art forger and Artist Marjorie Wynchester's story of drama, suspense, danger, villains and romance. I enjoyed seeing them get a happy ending. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

God I love the Wynchesters!!! I really love that this family is being written about in this time period and with such a seamless and believable acceptance (well as much as you can accept weirdos!) I loved that we finally get to see more from Marjorie and man you can't help but love her!

Highly entertaining historical mystery/adventure romance. Author Erica Ridley has a great sense of humor, creating unique and funny characters and dialogue. I loved the Wynchesters' various animal helpers.

Erica Ridley does it again. I was looking forward to Marjorie's story and watching her and Adrian fall for each other was so much sweet. Marjorie is so blunt and funny, and I loved that she stayed true to her character throughout the book. I really appreciate Ridley acknowledging and educating readers about Marjorie's partial deafness while also allowing her to be so much more than her disability. The fact that all her siblings use sign language, and that Adrian wanted to learn himself, really made me so happy. The diversity of the characters and their authenticity is what brings me back to Erica Ridley and the Wild Wynchesters over and over again. Can't wait until the next one!

My Rogue to Ruin is the fourth book in this series but the first I've read. I know! What was I thinking? I knew of the series, had seen it mentioned in various places. I know Erica Ridley is a talented author. I expected good stories once I cleared enough time (there really are not enough reading hours in a day) but nobody told me how much fun I was missing. So I'm telling you. Do not miss this book. Buy it in print, download it to your favorite reading device, check it out from your library, but go get this book, clear your schedule, and lose yourself in a fun, feel-good, Regency romp that will leave you eager to read every single book in the series.

There's so much to love about this book. Adrian and Marjorie together are simply perfection. I adored them, both individually and as a couple. It was a delight to watch them navigate their circumstances, evolve personally, fall in love, outsmart the villains, and eventually claim their HEA. I pretty much smiled through their entire adventure. The journey is filled with sweetness, spice, suspicion, cheeky humor, danger, and emotional growth. The interactions with the other members of the Wynchester family are pure gold. Honestly, I can't get to their books fast enough.

If you're in the mood for a fun, feel-good, can't put it down, Regency romp, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of My Rogue to Ruin by Erica Ridley. It has my wholehearted, enthusiastic, grinned until my cheeks hurt, recommendation.

My Rogue to Ruin is a great read! It is the fourth of the Wynchester series, with a bunch of misfit orphans who are determined to right wrongs in society using special skills that are inherent to them. I have enjoyed this series and really like the new cover for this book!
Adrian is estranged from his family, and becomes an antiquarian who finds antiquities, sells them to dealers, who then sells to collectors. However, he is a well-meaning antiquarian-- he finds them, forges them, and then sells them to the dealers. He ends up being found out and kidnapped by one and made to forge coins-- enter how Adrian meets our heroine Marjorie.
Marjorie's special skills is identifying forgeries, and looks into a complaint by a victim of the forgery, and sets out to stop the fake currency. She infiltrates the coin shop that Adrian is forced to forge for. It's instant attraction for Adrian, but Marjorie has to come around. There is great banter, but it went on a bit too long and I think needed a little more in the middle of the book. I love enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and I love the Wynchesters so it is a small quibble! This was an enjoyable book!
My Rogue to Ruin could be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the whole series so far because it just adds to the charm of this one!

I enjoy this author's writing yet even that was not enough to keep me invested in the story past the 15% mark. It may be my current romance reading interest void.

A rompy good time and among my favorites in the Wild Wynchesters series! My Rogue to Ruin follows introverted and partially deaf Marjorie as she takes lead on a case for the first time, proves that she is valuable, and finds love in the most unexpected of ways.

Lord Adrian is a rogue, a rake, and a scoundrel who has been estranged from his family and made a living abroad making and selling forgeries of priceless artifacts. He's finally ready to leave that life and reconnect with his sister when his subterfuge comes to light and he is forced to make counterfeit coins for a notorious criminal.

Meanwhile the Wynchesters have a new client- a woman who was scammed out of her only valuables with forged coins. And Marjorie is determined to take down the man behind it, little realizing the chemistry they would have together...

This was such a blast to read and Marjorie has a great growth arc through the book, really coming into her own and finding confidence in what she brings to the table. The romance was sexy and fun, with plenty of danger along the way. If you've enjoyed the series, this one is a must read. I don't typically read historical romance, but I kept hearing great things about this author and this series, so I decided to give this book a whirl. It's book 4 in the Wild Wynchesters series, but can absolutely be read as a standalone. I am a huge fan of "found family" stories --- so I loved the Wynchesters and their unconditional love for each other. Apparently in each book of the series there is some sort of caper so the Wynchester family can save the day. The caper itself was a bit odd and, at times confusing, but it was also just fun and ridiculous enough to keep you guessing but not have you biting your nails. I also appreciated how the author played with gender roles, expectations and stereotypes. There was some really good banter and chemistry between Marjorie and Adrian and they made a great team. This book was diverting and entertaining and I am glad I took a chance on it.

After book three was a bit of a miss for me, I feel like Erica Ridley has really hit her stride with this one. The banter and chemistry between Adrian and Marjorie is amazing!
Really, everything about this book was delightful. I can't wait for the next installment of The Wild Wynchesters.

It was funny, clever, and sexy - full of witty banter and loveable characters. It's the fourth in a series but can be read as a standalone novel. That said, I will definitely go back and read the earlier books in the series.

thoughts: I’m sorry what 😭 this was so chaotic and weird and didn’t read like a bodice ripper at all screaming

this book’s stakes are so bizarre it feels like it belongs in the Victorian era. this is far too chaotic to be a Regency eta novel. like I know that the bodice ripper as a genre is not generally admired for its strict adherence to historical practices but… come on. a hedgehog? named (I’m throwing up) Twinkletums?? the remaining slim sliver of my suspension of disbelief has dissolved into oblivion. it just failed to adhere to the traditional rules of the bodice ripper in an incredibly odd way, and for that reason, I’m out xx

furthermore: there’s insta-love, which I, for one, do not instantly love, and the male love interest is so inconsistent—like he’s pretending to be roguish and scandalous but I’m just embarrassed for him?? like why are you doing this sir 😭

not to mention the plot surrounds an attempted to like bring down an underground counterfeiting ring from the inside (in a romance?? novel???) and it’s so so so weird. nothing about this is bodice ripper energy by any stretch of the imagination and tbh that’s the main thing that turns me off of it. when I’m reading a romance novel by an author that’s new to me, I don’t want anything genre-bending or mind-blowing. I want something to keep me occupied for no longer than three hours with zero surprises. like I’m very very very rarely interested in reinventing the wheel, so maybe this was a me problem. idk.

This book cracked me up. It was a bit of a mystery with a crime to solve, but mixed with a regency romance and a sprinkling of humor. I genuinely enjoyed the characters, although it took me a bit to soften to Adrian. Overall, anyone who enjoys regency romance will surely find themselves smiling their way through this book!

My Rogue to Ruin tells the story of Marjorie Wynchester, artistic and partially deaf. She doesn't think she contributes much to the family or to society. So when she gets the chance to put her art skills to the test and help out a fellow artist in trouble, she doesn't hesitate, but soon finds herself in more than a bit of trouble. Lord Adrian Webb has been disowned by his family and has lost pretty much everything except his sense of rakish humor. He becomes indebted to a forgery boss and his situation grows bleaker by the day until Marjorie arrives.
This was such a fun and exciting read. You can tell the author poured so much effort and time into making this story one of the best of the Wynchester collection. I loved everything about it, especially how the author chose to showcase Marjorie's disability as her superpower. We really get a lot of character development and relationship development. Adrian for all his flaws has such a good heart. The romance is sweet and appropriate when it needed to be. The secondary cast of characters are just as phenomenal and appearances by the entire family and pets are such a treat. Just when you think they have things solved, a twist occurs. The drama and intensity was great as were the chilling villains.
This is a long novel but that just gives the reader more time to get lost in the depths of this story and really, there is so much excitement, it reads fast.
Highly recommend this book. 5+ stars!

I have been really enjoying the Wynchesters series from Erica Ridley in the lead up to this book. She had a great way of writing about a diverse cast of characters without it feeling too forced and I appreciate that the capers are always a little ridiculous and fun.

Marjorie's book is no different. As an artist, of course, she would be involved in some kind of forgery crime, and the addition of a hot scoundrel makes the whole thing a little more fun. I enjoyed this story and the romance between Marjorie and Adrien, though I found the caper a bit confusing at times. But whatever, its always great to see the Wynchesters come together to save the day.

My one complaint about this book is that Marjorie is partially deaf and sometimes uses signing to communicate and while it's brought up a few times, and Adrien mentions learning how to sign, but it felt like this part of her life got forgotten as she fell in love and the caper was going. It felt like a convenient way to make the cast diverse that wasn't actually integral to her life and that's unfortunate.

I'm excited for the next book in this series!

This was the second Wynchester book I’ve read and I believe this series is not for me. The plot was a little too over the top and somewhat silly and the story felt longer than necessary.

A Wild Wynchester story is always guaranteed to be a fun read, with this one adding a hefty dose of action and intrigue that kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end.
Adrian is the youngest son of a Lord who was kicked out of his house for admitting to being a rogue, so he acted like one and financed his travels around the Continent by selling fake antiquities to a notorious London kingpin. He's back in London to rescue his relationship with his little sister when the kingpin discovers his ruse and forces him into making fake money.
Marjorie Wynchester is the artistic sibling who doesn't get her feet wet with the family's capers. Still, she's so mad at someone making fake money that she volunteers to enter the den of thieves and stop the forgeries from taking advantage of people.
Adrian and Marjorie meet in unexpected circumstances that quickly force them to get to know each other's true personalities, and they're both set on helping the other even if they don't think they need help.
It's a story full of little twists and all the fun silliness that make the Wynchester clan such a fun read with a dark and dangerous twist that ups the ante on all that's happening. Even the romance feels like it's under pressure and it plays wonderfully with the character's personalities and how they interact.
It's the fourth book in the series, but I'm sure it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone as long as you don't mind not understanding a couple of in-jokes and comments.
Loved it and, as always, looking forward to the rest of the siblings finding love.
