Whoever described this book as a dystopia does not know the meaning of the word.. Society and the America government are just fine. What is wrong is Jazz, who has fallen prey to a cult that, like all cults, refuses to let her go. Luckily she has two good friends who are willing to fight for her and help her free herself.

Mary Longley does a great job in telling a story, I enjoyed how good the story was and it did everything that I was looking for. The characters were what I was expecting and they worked well in this universe. I enjoyed what was going on and thought the universe was interest and it worked in the genre.

"The hairs on the back of Maddy’s neck pricked again. Her senses were working overtime. Taking her eyes off the road momentarily, she glimpsed her rearview mirror. She’d seen the same black car trailing her when she left Jazz’s complex and again when she parked to call Jacques. The satanic brotherhood was following her. Maddy’s mood pivoted from shock and concern to red hot anger."
