I cannot leave adequate feedback on this book as I wasn’t able to finish it.

Unfortunately, I did not care for the writing. It felt very unpolished and elementary to me.

Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for allowing me to read this copy.

A short well written, spicy and steamy read, with lots of sex scenes and a okay storyline. Would have liked more “story”, so that we could have had more depth to it, but overall a good way to spend a few hours reading.
This book is recommended to be read in one sitting.

Book review :
"The Preacher’s Wife and her French Lover" is a well-written and engaging erotic romance that will leave you feeling hot under the collar. There was something so real and raw about the actual elements and things that happened whereby at times it felt like I was reading someones diary. I almost felt as though I was intruding on a private matter.

The story is based on real individuals so its only explicit sex scenes and no much of a story. A short read but not upto mark who seek proper storyline along with romance.

I am thankful to @netgalley and the publisher for providing me the book in return of an honest review.

Book was nothing like I expected it to be! Not in a bad way, just took me a little by surprise.
There was something raw in the story that made it feel more like I was reading someone journal versus reading a novel.
Not your typical HEA and there were many times where I genuinely felt bad for the FMC. I cannot imagine having to live like that.

The Preacher's Wife and Her French Lover - Serge Gabriel

A short spicy and steamy read, with lots of sex scenes. I would have liked it to be a little longer maybe, so that we could have had more depth to the story, but overall a good way to spend a few hours reading. I do think this book is best read in one sitting. Thank you Netgalley and Papyrus Edition for the e-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Wow talk about a sex book. Although it was short it sure was packed with lots and lots and lots and lots of sex. I have to say I didn’t really enjoy this book. Seemed it was translated from French to English poorly.

This was a short one, a bit steamy, but 100% from the male gaze and was lacking in a few areas. If you're looking for a quick steamy read you can totally check it out.

Well written, a lot of smut, and a okay storyline. Would have liked more “story”. Not exactly what I was expecting, but would recommend to read :)
Thank you for the opportunity to read :)

the preachers wife and her french lover is nothing short of a male sex fantasy. bombed with intensive amounts of smut and barely any plot.

the writing was messy by itself although i cant say i completely fault the author considering he does seem to be a native born french speaker, so its clear english is not his first language.
i genuinely do not know what to say in regards to this book. at some points its raw, emotional, and you can sense the tension in the air both the good and the bad between the two leads- however for a book based on a true story, there doesnt seem to be much of a story at all.
apart from the cover of this book, we dont know what the characters look like, their environments or any detail about their life that we can actually grasp onto and make a connection with.
if youre the kind of person that wants straight sex scenes in a book, with barely any story, this is for you.

if i were to describe the layout of this book with all honesty it would be they meet, have chemistry not even two pages in, they text, they meet, they fuck, again. they text, they meet, they fuck. over and over and over again. thats it.

we dont get much on the preaching aspect, nor on the scientist aspect, however we do get a rage inducing unrequited love story, where one falls, and the other just wants casual sex.

although it has its good points, there are some cringy scenes i had to force myself to read past.

while being only a two hour read for me personally,, im sure others will struggle with picking up this book again if they were to put it down. i nearly had to DNF it myself.

its a decent read, so i give it two stars at best. generously.
many thanks to netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read.

A Preacher's Wife (and part time PI) gets involved with a man in the midst of a divorce when she helps him follow his wife, looking for proof of her infidelity.

This book was so obviously a man's fantasy. Props to the author for incorporating way more of the female pleasure aspect of sex than a lot of books where men are writing sex scenes.....but still, this book was 95% sex scene, 5% story. What was kind of weird is that all the sex is very similar, there's not the amount of variety you'd think a man would write about. There were even some things that I found to be very repetitive (for example describing him getting and putting on the condom every time. I get it, they have safe sex, or putting a pillow under her butt).

Overall, this was pretty decent, I appreciated that it wasn't super vulgar, and it was written in a way that it was a really fast read but I'm not sure I'm dying for the next thing.

A short but steamy read. Plenty of sex but not much to the actual storyline. Would have liked a slightly different ending but an enjoyable way to pass a few hours.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to see an ARC.

Wow. I dont know where to begin! This book was nothing like I thought it was going to be! I understand this was based on a true story/real life and therefore things arent and dont play out in the way a typical novel would.

There was something so real and raw about the actual elements and things that happened whereby at times it felt like I was reading someones diary. I almost felt as though I was intruding on a private matter.

Now despite not being your typical love story and not your typical HEA there was something very profound in this book.

There were a couple of things that frustrated me, one being at the beginning there was basically no conversation between the two characters. This kept me at a distance and I really struggled connecting and getting into the story. The other issue was and I could be wrong but it felt as though this was written in another language, French possibly, then it was as though the whole thing was run in a translation software and being bilingual myself I know how often things said or written in one language simply cannot be translated word for word and all things come across in the same way.
