I love Gordon Ramsay and feel that his personality shines through in everything that he does. This book is no exception. The sections about the areas he’s traveled to and what the area is known for are very much in his voice. This excerpt of the book made me want to read more. There is an introduction to the culture of the area and as well as the ingredients they use. The photographs are beautiful and showcase the beauty of the location. The recipes are easy to understand but require more than a basic knowledge of cooking (they’re not for beginners) but are accessible with a little research. The ingredients are ones that can be found in the local supermarket or specialty store so can be made my any home chef. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the book is like!

The book might be fine but it was impossible to read with the sample provided on NetGalley. I can’t provide a true recommendation with the small, illegible sample given.

Thank you to NetGalley and National Geographic for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is either a super early ARC or only a preview copy because I only had 11 pages to review and 2 recipes. The cookbooks looks to be a companion piece to Ramsay's international travel and food show by the same name. The pictures are bright and vibrant and the recipes look to be unique. There are ingredients list and easy to follow instructions. I am a huge fan of Gordon's and would love to provide more information, if I get an updated copy I will update my review accordingly.

I didn't realize when I clicked the widget that I was only getting a sample of Gordon Ramsay's Uncharted from NetGalley. In the few pages of the book I was able to see, there are gorgeous pictures of food, and interesting pictures of Ramsay cooking with local folks. There were only a couple recipes, but it was enough to pique my curiosity! I'll definitely check this book out when it comes to my public library.

Ebook sample received for free from NetGalley

I didn’t realize this was a sample at first but realized it didn’t matter and was excited to see if there were any recipes in it. There was but I was sad to see how badly formatted it was with the ingredients and directions mixed up. Have tried it.

I didn't actually realize that this was simply a sample until I finished doing my happy dance and started reading, only to discover that this only included chapter 2 of the book. However, all it did was whet my appetite (yes, pun intended) for the entire book.

As I'd expect from a National Geographic book, the photographs were stunning. The landscapes and the food were enough to make me ready to book a ticket to Morocco. I had no idea about how much biodiversity was in Morocco, and I especially loved that the focus of the chapter was on the indigenous Amazigh people and their foods and preparation methods.

Ramsey finds the perfect balance between traditional foods and cooking methods and modern preparations, with the assistance of a professional Amazigh chef. I appreciated that this chapter included three very different recipes - beef short ribs seasoned with Ras el Hanout, Moroccan spiced carrots, and a special Moroccan type of "pizza."

This is definitely the kind of cookbook to get.

Thank you National Geographic and NetGalley for the advanced electronic sample review pages of what promises to be a great book. Gorgeous photos, wonderful recipes, and beautiful descriptions of various places and cuisines makes this a great book to have and gift. As I read the sample pages, I could hear Gordon’s voice narrating. Can’t wait till the book comes out so that I can finish my virtual travel experience.

A preview of this book. The imagery is gorgeous and seems really well put together. The few recipes available to see look amazing and don't take a culinary genius to make. I'm excited to see how the book is in its entirety.

I received the first 19 pages of this book, in exchange for an honest review, so my thoughts and feelings are based solely on that.

As one would expect from a Gordon Ramsay and a National Geographic book, the pictures were stunning. And each section of the book offers interesting cultural and culinary history for the region. Then the recipes—the thing we all came for... Gorgeous! Mouthwateringly scrumptious! This little teaser has me eager for the book release.

National Geographic offers early readers samples of forthcoming books. From what I can see, the finished book looks as if it will be a good one.

Many know the name Gordon Ramsay. In this title, that accompanies a TV show, he tastes the cuisine of many countries including locations in Peru, Morocco, Laos, New Zealand, Hawaii, South Africa, Norway, Tasmania, India, Louisiana, Croatia, Iceland, Portugal, Maine, Michigan, The Great Smoky Mountains, Texas , Puerto Rico, Mexico, Wales and England. Wow! A lot of territory and foods to explore.

I think that adventurous chefs and travelers will enjoy this title. In the sample, in addition to the recipes, there was a lot of information on the location. There are many beautiful photos as well. The first recipe that I saw was for Ras El Hanout or Braised Beef Short Ribs. There were other delicious sounding recipes as well. I would love to see the full title.

Meanwhile, many thanks to NetGalley and National Geographic for this sample. All opinions are my own.

While this is only a taste of what this book has to offer, I was salivating at the content as well as the recipe. I only wish that I had the rest of the book to devour! (all puns intended).

Thank you Netgalley for the sample, of which I am sure will be a scrumptious book debut!

This is a sample of the book and contains information from chapter 2: The Mountains of Morocco. I was luckily enough to watch this episode before reading the book. The information in the book is a glimpse into the episode. Gordon is a bold personality which is reflected in his cooking. This chapter contains three recipes: short ribs, carrots, and mushrooms. They look amazing and I cannot wait to cook them. The photography is so beautiful and really captures the area. I look forward to reading the full book when it is released. If you like Gordon Ramsay, travel, or international cooking, you will love this book.

I have been watching Gordon Ramsay for years and this book, part recipe collection, part travel guide, is quintessential Gordon. Looking forward to reading the entire book, as this was an excerpt.

ARC provided by Netgalley.

As this is only a sample to the book itself, I tried to remain partial to the content given. I love everything Gordon Ramsey; he was one of my favorite chefs on Food Network, I've adored eating at Hell's Kitchen, and I watch anything he's in every chance I get. I was really excited at the prospect of this book because it is him and National Geographic combined, which is sure to produce and artistically done book where the images and texts pop out to the reader, begging to be displayed on a wall.

I was completely right in thinking I'd enjoy this. Again, since it's a sample, only a few pages are shown. But the images are astoundingly rich in color and detail, while the text urges you forward to cultures you may not yet be familiar with and recipes that are sure to leave your mouth watering just by looking at it. I can't wait to have access to the full book.
