As is typical of all the Blue Zone books, this sample book catches your interest and your desire to read it simply because they all contain useful and interesting information. There was only 11 pages to this sample book so I cannot expound further on what the book was like.

This is an interesting, well researched and organized book. Too bad it is just a sampler, but what I saw it’s enough to keep you engaged and it’s not boring. Looking for this at retailers.

This book offers a fascinating look at the lives and diets of super agers gained through Dan Buettner's incredible research of "blue zones". The sample I reviewed provided a glimpse of the information and magnificent photos that bring such life to the page. There was so much information packed into the sample, so I expect there will be so much more in the book. I would love to read the full book when I get my hands on it!

Thank you to NetGalley, National Geographic Books and Dan Buettner for this ARC.

I really loved the recipes that were shown in the sample and the layout. I think that the rest of the recipes in this book would be equally as delicious sounding. I cannot wait to check it out.

This book explores the diet and habits of people who live in "the blue zone" to see why they live longer. It is supplemented by beautiful photos which one has come to expect from a National Geographic book. I enjoyed the sample I read, and look forward to reading the whole book to explore these ideas. Thank you to NetGalley, National Geographic Books and Dan Buettner for this ARC.

This was an insightful and informative read, and it was a nice companion to the Netflix series. I look forward to reading more about Blue Zones.

I've loved all of Dan Buettner's books, but this might be my new favorite. The images are beautiful and I love that this synthesizes all of his previous work into one seminal book that gives the feeling of a really gorgeous coffee table book. I'll at least be picking this up to gift to my mother in law who is also a fan.

My husband and I both experienced health scares in the last few months. We are committed to improving our lifestyle, beginning with our diet. As have many Americans, we have lost track of what it really means to eat healthy food. We have traded convenience for real food. Dan Buettner gives us a roadmap to getting back on track.

Buettner has traveled the world searching for the answers to longevity. He identified those places in the world where people live the longest and has recorded their lifestyles. His latest record provides us with this information and helps to get us back on track.

I obtained a free sample of The Blue Zones Secret to Living Longer and look forward to obtaining my own copy of the final work in August when it becomes available. Not only has Buettner provided a healthy eating guide, but the book will be filled with photos and information from the Blue Zone locations he has studied. When so many of us are craving a healthy eating plan and need assistance, Buettner stands as a beacon of light in the world falling between vegetarian diets and the meat heavy diets familiar to most Americans.

I’ve read other Blue Zone books and enjoyed them. From the sample received the photos are beautiful and the information is useful. I would definitely purchase the actual book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this taste of the next Blue Zone book. My review is my honest opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley and National Geographic for the opportunity to read an advanced sample of this book for an honest review. (Publish Date: 29 Aug 2023)

This book caught my attention because I’ve been reading about the Blue Zones (places on Earth where people live the longest) for the last year or so, and I’ve been interested in learning more! National Geographic Explorer and best-selling author Dan Buettner revisits the Blue Zones in this book to reveal more secrets to living to 100 years old.

The sample of the book I received was full of gorgeous photos that I couldn’t stop looking at! The book was attractively presented and definitely made me want to read more. I especially liked the section on lessons from Costa Rica’s Blue Zone that discussed getting sensible sun exposure and eating lighter dinners.

I’m very excited to read the rest of this book once it’s released in August! I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about the Blue Zones and how to change your lifestyle to live longer.

This was a good preview into what The Blue Zones Secrets for Living Longer details. I would definitely read this in its entirety and I think it would be a great gift for anyone who is into healthy living.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this sample arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is another case of false advertising and purposely misleading the reader.

When I requested The Blue Zones Secrets for Living Longer a few weeks ago, there was no '"SAMPLE" attached to the title.

This isn't a sample, it's more of an amuse-bouche.

A tiny taste of what the book offers; fascinating history about the culture, diets, and routines of the local centenarians who live in the blue zones, regions in the world where people are live longer than average,

From what few pages was offered in the SAMPLE, I'm interested in reading more and learning ways to improve my diet, health, and mental well-being.

This Netgalley review book was for a sample. Honestly, the publisher did not give enough of a preview for me to do a proper review. The chapter previews given were basic and boring. You can read most of the information online or in a Kindle Unlimited book. It's too bad because the brand (The Blue Zones) is quite popular. I hope the full book gives recipes or more in-depth information.

Dan Buetner is back with more Blue Zone Loot! He is doing a great job of keeping our minds engaged with all of his publications on Blue Zones. This book is set to build anticipation of his upcoming Netflix Series (Gulp! Can't wait!) I love how in this book he revisits his Familiar Hot Spots of longevity. As a dietitian I really enjoy reading about food and lifestyle choices and how they can impact our lives. After all Food is Medicine (so is movement!). Not only are these pages filled with great knowledge, the pictures are total drool worthy!
If you are wanting to amp up your excitement and revisit some familiar spots, pick up this book!
Here is to me living at least another 64 years!!
Thank you Netgally for this advanced copy read, I was not influenced or reimburst in anyway for this honest review!

I am very interested in the Blue Zones and the recipes from them. I want to know what the culinary secrets to life are. I thought this excerpt was a interesting and looks like it would be a great cookbook with added information about each other the zones.

Dan Buettner has done an in depth study on whether or not the blue zones provide secrets to living a longer life. Prior to writing this book he had interviewed over 300 people who have lived at least 100 years. This book takes you to the blue zone regions and gives a tour of the lifestyles and food choices of the people who live the longest.

This sample gave a glimpse into what this book contains and I am intrigued by it. I liked the part at the end of the chapter that listed the top longevity foods from the region.

From the short sample, this appears to be a good book for people that haven't already learned about Blue Zones.
The part I was looking forward to was not included in the sample. That's how to build your own blue zone.
I may end up buying the book just to get that part, as I'm very familiar already with the rest.

I'm excited to read more about these cultures and diets when this book does come out. However, this was extremely difficult to read on my Kindle. The formatting was weird and it felt like parts of sections and paragraphs were just missing entirely or were out of order. The format looked ok on the NetGalley app though. Overall, this sample was too short to form a detailed review.
