I loved this preview and I will definitely be purchasing this book. The Blue Zones are such an inspiration and Dan Buettner has uncovered some real treasures. I highly recommend anything from him and it looks like this will be no exception.

This sample whet my appetite for this book. It gives the basics of the The Blue Zones diet that included interviews with centarians and the food choices from the parts of the world they were from. The photos were beautiful.

This sample of The Blue Zones Secrets for Longer Living is a mere eleven pages including both covers but gives the reader the main points of the complete guide. Using centenarians as examples, author Dan Buettner shows that a long, healthy life is based on several familiar principles: stay active, maintain friendships, eat lean meat and more fruits and vegetables and avoid fast and processed food. The beautiful photographs are welcome additions. The author and the blue zones longevity concept will surely rate the 5 stars that I give to the sampler.

I once saw something on a show I was watching about blue zones and how people live longer healthier lives in these spaces. I’ve always wanted to know more about it. How can this be? This book appears to be a great way to learn these lessons. It’s filled with people photos, and I feel would also appeal to lovers of travel and culture.

****THIS was a SAMPLE ONLY**** Unfortunately, this was not a full read (not disclosed in the description or title as they usually are--I finally did see it in the hashtag section, which is NOT where I usually look) but just a very small sample. I avoid reading samples and reviewing, as I don't believe it is helpful or useful to readers to have an opinion based on such a small sample (it would be similar to reading the summary online). What I read was interesting and useful information about health, diet, exercise from long living cultures around the world so I would be interested in reading more, but uncertain how applicable the entire book would be as I didn't get to read more than a few pages.

Looks to be as beautifully photographed and presented as the first book.. The sample size was much too small to get more than that impression.

The pages I got looked really good but my ARC was 11 pages including both covers. It was the same for my kindle version and the download, and when I tried to resend and redownload it said file not found and internal server error. There is no way I could publicly review this book after previewing so little.

This is a must-have resource to help one improve their health, resiliency, and live a more full and happy life. It is full of great strategies, advice, and easy to implement ideas. This is one I'll return to again and again. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.
