Adrift, releases this week and you do not want to miss this one!

Just in time for summer, Adrift is about to become the book everyone packs for the beach!

I don't think I knew what to expect when I requested this one, I, like many of you, was drawn to the cover. Im a sucker for anything beachy or summer related. Give me all the summer vacation thrillers!

Adrift kept my mental wheels spinning, there was no way I could anticipate what would come next, all I knew was there was no way I was putting this book down.

I feverishly swiped the pages, I could not get to the next page fast enough. My eyes grew big and I don't think I blinked for 6 hours. I couldn't miss a word, M A Hunter, had quite literally swooped on down and stole my attention.

The talent this author has for writing shines on every page.

Adrift is sure to be a hit and I promise, this is one you don't want to miss!

PS- A little birdie told me this book is going to be FREE on kindle unlimited this Thursday! Run Run Run!

Teaser :

A stag do, six old friends...and a secret they’d all kill to protect.

When Pete and his friends set sail on a private yacht in the Balearics to celebrate Fergus’ upcoming wedding, they’re all looking forward to sun, sea and copious quantities of alcohol.

But there’s a reason they are still entwined in each other’s lives a decade after leaving university. A terrible event they’ve all been trying their hardest to forget.

They say you can’t outrun the past… And these six friends are about to find that out the hard way.

What happened in the past, stays in the past, or that is what the group of former flatmates thought. It turns out pretty much everything from the past becomes present. They are all on a yacht, and someone is out to get them. The dream trip turns into a nightmare, and there seems to be no way out.

I like how past and present are mixed, and how old feelings and stories are brought back to life, in both good and bad. The characters become very real during the read. I am not sure the characters are very likable, but as the story unfolds, many secrets come out, and things start making sense.

A good read, brutal, at times brutally honest, at times creepy like hell. Worth the read!

This book was everything that I look for when it comes to thrillers. It kept you guessing who did it right to the very end. I did not want to put this book down and think that the author did a great job making sure that reader didnt figure out who the murderer was to soon. Because as soon as you think you have it figured out, you better think again. Just when you think that the dead can come back to life, you better think again.

The writing of this book was amazing and I cant wait to read more MA Hunter in the future.

A good thriller with twists and turns and a stonking ending!

I've read a few books about stag dos gone wrong or friends getting together after many years but this felt fresh and a little more daring.

I would love to go on a yacht but not this one!

Six friends from universary meet up after 10 years for Fergus’s stag weekend. Harry has rented a yacht and they are going to have fun, but the weekend starts off wrong after Pete finds the crew gone and then one of the missing crew in the shark tank. Who done it and why?

I finished this in one day as I had to know what was going to happen next. It kept me guessing throughout and was engaged in the book. I liked the chapters going back and forth from the present day to the past years as it gave you a great knowledge of each of the characters.

It’s gripping, a page turner and a great thriller with an unexpected ending.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

When six old friends get together to celebrate and throw a bachelor party aboard a yacht what could go wrong?. But soon people start disappearing and then someone murder. Told over two different timelines this story will pull you in and keep you reading until you find out who’s doing what and why.

When Pete and his friends set out to sail on a private yacht to celebrate their friends upcoming wedding, they’re all looking forward to the sea, sun, and copious quantities of alcohol.

They haven’t seen each other in years. And for good reason. Sometimes the past should stay buried. But as things go wrong, it is apparent someone wants the past cleared up, and is willing to kill to ensure it stays that way.

This was an interesting story that did keep me guessing. My biggest issue with this book is that it felt that it was dragging the entire time. What should have been a quick read was long and drawn out and I did not appreciate that. The shocking reveal at the end was intriguing and was worth the wait. The overall story was captivating, and I enjoyed it. I just wish the pacing would have worked better for me.

Thank you so much to Boldwood Books, and Netgalley, @Netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Six university friends on a rented yacht in the Balearics for a stag do. What could possibly go wrong?
The story is told in two timeliness, 10 years ago and the present day on the yacht.
I found this book to be more if a whodunit rather than a thriller/psychological thriller, but this didn't affect my enjoyment or stop me reading late into the night. It was one of those books where I kept changing my mind about who done it.
I would recommend this book and I shall look at reading more from this author.
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for this advance read.

Peter has a bad feeling about the bachelor party he’s attending on a yacht for his sister‘s fiancé and his college roommate Fergus. All the roommates are there including the only girl Sophie Peter feels like there’s too much water under the bridge for them to all get together and act like they’re having a great time but it seems they are until they’re not. When the hostess and captain goes missing along with their cell phones in Fergus is an acting like himself this is the first clue this may not in the way they think. As the chapters go from present the past the story slowly and foals about the secret they keep and it seems the more it does the more people go missing but the suspect changes although the danger does not. This was one twisty piece of work this is definitely my favorite type of book with twist and turns an OMG moment to spare I thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to say so much more about it but don’t want to give anything away if you love a good twisty thriller then you definitely need to read A Drift BuyM A Hunter just make sure you have time to read it because this is a book you will not want to put down. I received this book from NetGalley and BoldwoodBooks but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

A great read that held my attention even while travelling, which is a feat in itself.
The perfect locked in crime, 6 friends on a stag do on a yacht.
Told over two timescales the present day and 10 years previously when they were all students sharing a house, this brilliant read will keep you hooked. It’s kinda unbelievable what happens but once you can accept that it’s a fabulous rollercoaster of a ride with a culprit I never saw coming

I’d like to thank Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Adrift’ by M A Hunter in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Fergus has invited six friends from university for his stag do aboard a yacht heading to Paradise Cove. Although they haven’t met since leaving university ten years ago, they’re all connected by an event that happened that they swore never to reveal. When the captain and hostess disappear and the anchor chain is deliberately broken it’s not long before they realise that being adrift in the middle of an ocean is the least of their worries.

‘Adrift’ is a very exciting thriller with a time span that commences at the present time with the group of friends off enjoying themselves with the promise of sandy beaches, sun and plenty of alcohol, going back ten years to when they shared a house close to their university in Southampton. I’ve read novels with a similar storyline so this could have been a fairly average novel, but when this very talented author brings his own unique style of writing into it, it’s no surprise that with all the tension and drama it’s turned into a highly addictive thriller that’s had me so involved I haven’t been able to stop reading. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this book and although I wanted to know who was dangerous enough to cause chaos I’m disappointed that it’s finished.

Pete and his friends have set sail for their friend, Fergus’ stag do on a private yacht ahead of his wedding to Pete’s sister. They’re all looking forward to an amazing week of sun and sea and loads of drinks of course. They’ve been in each others lives for over 10 years now, they know everything about each other, or do they?
Soon after they board the yacht, strange things start happening and people start disappearing. Pete realizes there is a murderer on the boat. But these are all his friends, so it’s not possible. Or is it?
The story flashes back in chapters ten years ago to show their relationship in how they all met and how their relationships grew over the course of time as well as the present timeline on the boat.
For me, the story started strong and it weakened a little as it went along, but I never found myself bored-I was curious to see how it was going to play out.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

There was a great deal of anticipation in this book, keeping the reader on their toes. I liked trying to figure out the motivations of everyone on the trip and who the killer could be. Some of the events were far-fetched for my particular tastes but an enjoyable read overall.

This is a good read and something different to get stuck into.
Six friends decide to hire a yacht for a stag party and things start off well, but there’s someone on board who wants revenge.
The story is told in the present day on the yacht, and also ten years ago when they all shared a house while at university.
Something happened ten years ago and it seems one of them has some issues with the others.
This is a good mystery thriller but it lacked a little something for me.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I was instantly pulled in by this read and the storyline was so interesting I could have easily kept reading if I wasn’t so busy while reading this book! It’s an isolated thriller told in dual timelines, present day and college flashbacks. I had a hard time forming a solid opinion a who was behind the happenings early on my mind kept jumping from thinking it was almost every character at some point. Slowly but surely the secrets come to light. But the ending pulled it all together and I wasn’t dissapointed!

I liked this one, it was just missing that vital “wow” factor that I look for in thrillers. It was still a good read though!

Six friends on a rented motor yacht, coming together for a stag party. It should be a time for celebration and over indulgence, but not long after they arrive on board, strange things begin to happen. On the first morning, they wake up to find the crew have disappeared, but this is only the beginning of the nightmare.
Narrated by brother of the bride, Pete, the story moves between present day and ten years ago when they all house shared while at uni. As a result of events which happened while they were there, they all share a secret, one they have vowed never to reveal. And when the first of their group dies, there is a thought that what happened then has in some way come back to haunt them.
The pace never lets up and the writer cleverly moves from past to present, gradually building the feel of menace and tension as the group's secret is gradually revealed. There are red herrings a plenty, and as a consequence, my thoughts on who was responsible for what was happening, jumped from one character to another. and back again It's a tense and in parts quite grisly tale, which I think, has great potential as a movie or TV drama. Adrift is one of those book that pulls you in and won't let you go until you have finished it. Loved it!
My thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood and M A Hunter for an ARC of Adrift in exchange for an honest review.
