Stinger is an emotional, beautifully written love story that proves Mia Sheridan’s gift for blending passion, heartbreak, and healing. What starts as a steamy, opposites-attract romance quickly deepens into something profound and soul-stirring. Sheridan crafts flawed, lovable characters who evolve in unexpected and rewarding ways, and the chemistry between them leaps off the page. This isn’t just a romance—it’s a story of transformation, forgiveness, and finding your true self. With its rich emotional core and addictive storytelling, Stinger is a poignant reminder that love can bloom in the most unlikely places.

Okay. How do I love and hate a book at the same time. Carson and Grace melted my heart but I didn't enjoy the book until the 2nd half. It felt like the book aged from YA (very mature YA) to adult.

At first I obtained this book as an eARC but i was unable to finish it by the archive date so I read it through my library.
This book is a bit weird. There’s a time skip that makes the book feel like two different stories between each time period. The beginning has a lot of smut, which was dangerously intoxicating. Like almost every other page had smut. It was insane and I wasn’t mad or bored about it.
But ultimately…. Idk how I feel about this book. Yes I’m glad how it panned out but ultimately it felt like Grace could not be with Carson because he was an adult performer, and he had to change for them to be together. I understand this is a bit of a nuanced concept, because it makes sense. You don’t want your significant other to be with you at night and then with someone else in the morning for their occupation. But it’s just the way it was written left a bad taste in my head.
Someone said how the transition of the time skip makes it seem like 2 different stories and I completely agree. Theres also a lot of tropes in this book that I don’t really like, so tbh this just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to NetGalley and Bloom Books for providing the eARC.
When I initially began reading this book, I thought, “Okay, we have a nerd and a porn star. Where will this lead?” However, true to Mia Sheridan's style, it unfolded into a touching and profound story filled with compassion and love, culminating in an unexpected ending—well, not entirely unexpected by mid-book. The character development and growth are remarkable, as I would expect from her work. This was yet another incredible read by Mia Sheridan.
Happy Reading

I really liked this book. I usually love Mia’s stuff so I’m not surprised I loved this one too. Carson and Grace were just too good to miss out on!

mia sheridan strikes again!!! emotional and captivating as ever, her formula is always gonna get it done! enjoyed this story and the characters. this story touches topics that some would call taboo or not mainstream and i think they were handled really well. i loved grace and carson’s romance so much 🥹

This was only fine for me unfortunately. While I enjoyed the characters, the story wasn't anything new and actually was rather predictable. If you enjoy a slow burn romance and opportunities attract trope then you'll probably enjoy the story. For me it just fell a little flat.

DNF couldn't get into the story or connect to the characters. Usually like whatever Mia Sheridan writes but this was a miss for me.

Stinger by Mia Sheridan delivers a steamy, opposites-attract romance with plenty of emotional highs and lows. The story of Grace, a law student, and Carson, an adult film star, is filled with unexpected chemistry, personal growth, and the classic “don’t judge a book by its cover” message.
Sheridan’s writing is engaging, and the emotional depth between the characters shines through, but some plot twists feel overly familiar, and certain moments veer into melodrama. While the romance is heartfelt, it follows a predictable path that may not surprise seasoned romance readers.
3 stars — a sweet, steamy read with emotional undertones, though it doesn’t fully break new ground. Fans of slow-burn romances with a redemption arc will still enjoy the ride.

Who doesn’t love a second chance romance/military romance novel? I’ll never hear the word buttercup again & not think of this book ;)
I think I liked the first half of the book more than the second but I still really enjoyed the story as a whole. I definitely would recommend this one.

This was a decent read, there wasn't anything I actively disliked about it, but there was just something missing, that couldn't keep fully invested in the story.

I’m not always a second chance romance fan. But I am a Mia Sheridan fan. I have enjoyed several of her books. This was no different. I appreciated the writing, the romance, the spicy scenes.

Sheridan’s writing is deeply heartfelt, bringing out the raw emotions and undeniable chemistry between the protagonists with incredible skill. What makes Stinger stand out is the way it delves into how societal expectations and the labels we place on ourselves can hold us back. This isn’t just a romance—it’s a powerful story about breaking free from stereotypes and discovering strength in vulnerability. Fans of Mia Sheridan’s Archer’s Voice will love the emotional intensity and transformative journey in this novel, which is both irresistibly steamy and profoundly moving.
Thank you to Bloom Books and NetGalley for the early copy. All above opinions are my own.

DNFed - I chose to DNF this book in the past. I am typing as a review so it doesn't harm my %. I haven't chose to pick the title back up.

STINGER by Mia Sheridan ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book is such a pick-me-up! I absolutely ADORE the banter and playfulness between the characters. The chemistry is off-the-charts.
This book is fun, playful, hot, emotional and has amazing elements of suspense weaved in to the storyline. I have yet to read anything else like it. It's one of my very favorite Mia Sheridan books.
Thank you Netgalley for the digital ARC of Stinger in exchange for my honest opinion!

This book was not my normal read as of late, but I really liked it. Strait laced lawyer student meets porn star and they hookup for the weekend with a twist. I definitely recommend this book for people that like a good second-chance romance. It’s a great story.

Mia Sheridan is a beautiful storyteller. She has written so many great books. This story was one on her back list, that I had not gotten to yet..Grace & Carson's story was beautifully written, as only Mia could.. I'm so thankful that I got the chance to read it. Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this whirlwind romance. The opposites attract vibe between Grace and Carson was perfection. The way Carson introduced Grace to his world was fascinating. I absolutely loved the growth of both characters. The steam was also on point. Overall I enjoyed this book but it did feel a bit long.

A Mia Sheridan book never disappoints. Carson and Grace addictive characters I could not stop reading their story.

This was my first Mia Sheridan book and it was great - enjoyable and the plot sucked me in. I’m excited to read more from her.
