I really enjoyed the first book, while it did not have a lot of steampunk elements, it had enough to keep me curious. This second book, however, focused a lot on the airship and not a lot on V’s and Noli’s relationship. From the blurb, I really believed in this second book, we would see more of them, but they keep most of the book apart.

I really enjoyed the airship plot and Jeff’s and his captain's storyline. I usually prefer the secondary characters plot, it’s usually more interesting and here we had a lot to explore.

Sadly, the plot just dragged a lot and while there were some pleasant moments of fun and feelings, overall the pacing was a little too slow for me.

I really wanted to love this one, since it is steampunk and I love it, but it was just not my style.

Requested and downloaded this book back in 2013 with every intention of reading it but then it expired on my device before I had the chance. Have felt bad about that and as a result haven't wanted to leave a review but with more and more publishers relying on Feedback ratings I need to clear out some of these older titles in my queue.

Sadly I didn't get around to reading the book before it was archived and it was long before I managed to get myself a Kindle so I couldn't read it.
