Momfluencer, The Invincible Molly Sullivan has had her share of ups and downs. After her first husband leaves her, she must figure out how to survive on her own with her new daughter. She starts an instagram page detailing her daily life and struggles and soon becomes extremely popular. After a few years, she meets her new Husband Scott and mistakenly posts a picture of him on her page. He becomes upset and tells her to take it down. Unfortunately for him, someone else has recognized him prior to it's removal.

Liv Barrett has been looking for Scott for ten years. When she was a teenager, her older half-sister was brutally murdered and her baby niece disappeared without a trace. Her niece's Father also disappeared and that can't be a coincidence. Now all she has to do is find him and convince the lead detective of his whereabouts. Conveniently for her, Molly shares her life online so it's not hard to find out where she lives. Liv moves across the country and befriends Molly Sullivan. Although she plans to fake a friendship, she can't help actually caring for Molly and her daughters. Soon Molly begins finding discrepancies in her new Husband's past. From here chaos ensues.

I really enjoyed this story and feel it deserves 4.5 stars. The influencer plot line is becoming a bit saturated in the market recently but it really made sense for this story rather than just thrown in. I loved the twists and my heart really wrenched for Liv in the loss of her sister and Molly in what she must decide about her husband. You can tell the author really did a bit of research in what it means to be an influencer these days and the constant pressure for new content or follower loss. Thank you Blackstone Publishing for the advanced eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I went into this book blind, not really knowing anything about it except that I really wanted to read it based solely on the title and the cover. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover, but it worked out in this instance because I was sucked in right from the first chapter. I’m a sucker for books about influencers, especially those that show the darker behind the scenes side of the lifestyle. Throw a murder mystery into the mix and I am in Heaven. A solid 4 star read.

This was a thrilling, twisty read! I was sucked in and couldn’t stop reading. I loved all the plot twists - they all took me by surprise! I thought this was a very timely book with the age of social media. The only thing that kept this from getting a 5 star was the writing style - seemed a bit stilted and clunky to me. I wasn’t as pulled into the story as I like to be. Still a great story!

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own and unbiased.

3.5 stars - pretty cheesy at certain points but overall it held my attention the entire time and I was invested in the outcome. I really liked the idea of the plot though I think there could have been more ominous details added throughout to have me second-guess myself.. I also guessed some things, but it was still a solid read

The Followers by Bradeigh Godfrey is a suspenseful, timely, engaging psychological thriller that wraps around the reader in a way the reader can’t shake off. It transposes the reader into the story and creates questions about one’s own social media presence and posts while the story unfolds. Bradeigh has a way of writing that is realistic, fun, and has twists that are unexpected even for the best patterner. Well done!

Thank you Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved this book! I’m always leery of books with social media as the premise, but this one hooked me from the beginning. Bradeigh Godfrey did a fantastic job of making these characters likable. I was rooting for every single one of them. One of the things that, I think, makes this book different is that you basically start out knowing what happened. But that doesn’t mean it’s without twists and turns. You know what happened, but now how… or why. Who’s telling the truth? Who’s lying? And Who did you never see coming?

Another Bradeigh Godfrey thriller I couldn't put down! I loved the social media influencer storyline and how relevant it was to the times. This book hooked me from the beginning and kept me guessing all the way through.

It's 2023 and I'm still not over behind the scenes influencer as a main character. Is it a ~realistic~ plot? No, of course not. And that's what makes it fun. Read this in a single sitting!

I wasn't expecting to love this half was much as I did. I love reading about influencer culture. One of our protagonists just wants to find her missing niece, one works as an influencer with a new super private husband, and the other might be evil.
Our first gal had a rough childhood and that included losing her sister to a murderer. She is close with her brother and she is mourning her granny. All she wants is to see her niece but maybe also she wants to fall in love.
The second gal made money posting her all her business online so she needs to keep that up while preserving her husband's privacy.
Anyway this was amazing and twisty and I loved the ending. More please.

When influencer Molly shares a photo of her new fiancé on social media, he negatively reacts and she takes it down. But Liv has already seen it, and thinks he’s responsible for murdering her sister and kidnapping her niece 10 years earlier.

I loved the premise of this one as we see an influencer share a lot of her life with strangers on the internet. We see Liv take matters in her own hands and forge a friendship with Molly as she tries to figure out if the fiancé is the same man who harmed her family.

I never quite knew where the story was going and who we could trust as each character seemed to have their secrets. The characters felt authentic and I loved the complicated relationships that developed throughout. We also get some mixed media elements thrown in which added to the storytelling.

I enjoyed it overall and recommend if you like a binge-able thriller.

THE FOLLOWERS is a story about a social media influencer that is married to a man who is hiding from his past. When she posts one photo of him to her page and someone from his last sees it, things get interesting! I really enjoyed this second thriller by @brwdeighgodfrey (one half of @alibrady if you didn’t know) This story was a good mystery with a solid cast of characters. I loved the social media aspect of the story and how that played into the events of the book. I was intrigued from the start, surprised along the way, and satisfied by the overall story. This was a great follow up to last year’s release by the author, Imposter. I’m already excited for whatever she comes up with next!

If you want to read a thriller which has a social media influencer in it - this is your book. It gives the behind scenes view of someone with a huge following.

Did I think I was smart enough to figure out who the mystery person was in @bradeighgodfrey ‘s newest thriller The Followers? Yes, yes I did and I was so wrong!

Doctor and author, Bradeigh Godfrey has turned out a thrilling book with a hint of romance in her most recent selection which actually happens to be something she was working on prior to her other books and came back to. Social media influencer, Molly has many followers who adore her snippets of life and thoughtful sayings. But when Molly posts a pic of herself and her new fiancé Scott, he tells her to remove the post and not include him or his daughter on her platform. She does so but not before many see it including a person from Scott’s past and a mystery person who has been looking for Scott for nine years.

Readers will find the right balance of tension and story building in this one. As a member of the @bookishladiesclub on Instagram, I have had the opportunity to get to know the author a little and will say she is one of the friendliest members of the group. I really enjoyed Imposter, Bradeigh’s previous thriller and she is also part of the Ali Brady duo who write contemporary romance.

Thank you to @blackstonepublishing and @netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinions. I look forward to reading Bradeigh’s next book. This book published last week so you can grab it now!

An enjoyable read but i was hoping for more excitement/suspense/twists. It was fun to dive into the world of a social media influencer and the story was good, I just was expecting more. When it got to the twists I was like “meh, that wasn’t very shocking.” I will still recommend this book to other thriller/suspense readers because I can see this being a big hit with a lot of readers.

This was a “woah” book for me and I haven’t had many of those lately. You’re gonna wanna read this one asap.
First you’ve got an angry baby daddy coming looking for his daughter and the grandma goes ahead and gives him the address of where to find her, even though the mom doesn’t want to be found. She doesn’t even warn the daughter that he’s coming. Then, tragedy strikes and the story takes a dark turn.
The it picks up nine years later and the sister of the babie’s mom, Liv, thinks she sees the man who kidnapped her niece and murdered her sister on social media. If it really is him, he has changed his name and moved across the county and is married to a major “influencer “ But instead of going to the police with what she thinks she sees, she decides to go and befriend Molly, said influencer, and find out if it really is him. They quickly bond over the fact that they are both Swifties and Molly never questioned her new friend’s intentions despite her coming in out of nowhere.
This was part domestic thriller and part psychological suspense and it was a lot of fun to read. There’s a lot of chilling moments about the dangers and the abuse of social media which make you want to rethink your usage but if you enjoy a mystery with a side of romance, this is a book for you.
Thanks to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

I just finished reading this, and I involuntarily said out loud to no one, “Woah. That was good.” It’s going to be hard to review and describe, but I’m going to try my best here … I’m worried it’s going to sound more convoluted than it actually is, but it was pretty easy to keep track of these good characters.

Olivia has moved to Durango, Colorado (a city near and dear to me - I love that the book was set there!) to find her niece. Baby Gabriela was kidnapped ten years prior after Kristina (Gabriel’s mother and Olivia’s troubled sister) was murdered by her boyfriend, Sam. After Kristina was killed, Sam took Gabriela and they were never seen again … until Olivia gets a crucial tip about where they might be by following…

Molly (aka @invinciblemollysullivan) runs a mommy/lifestyle Instagram account. As outgoing as she seems online, Molly actually has no friends, so she considers her followers friends and part of her community. She’s quite successful at showing life with her daughter, Chloe, until she gets married to a man named Scott. He has a daughter, and has no interest in being in the public eye. Her followers, called “The Invincibles”, start getting restless on being left out of that part of Molly’s life.

How these two women connect is a quite entertaining thing to see play out. I loved all the added social media posts and comments, especially as some comments are by a mystery person whose thoughts are also interspersed throughout the book. Who is this creepy person? You won’t find out until the end, and let me tell you, the ending is a doozy!

I liked how this took a few tired tropes and tied them together to make something better than average. The ending came out of left field - there were parts of it that I liked, and parts I didn’t. This was just a tiny bit slow in a couple parts, but otherwise it was a page-turner. 4.5 stars!

A scary look into what you put out on the internet and how anyone can have access to you on social media if you aren't careful.

Liv sees a photo of her sister's supposed killer/niece's kidnapper on Molly's social media and decides to take a temp job to get closer to him and see if he has her niece. She befriends Molly which is pretty easy to do as Molly shares "real life" all the time.

I loved the mystery and figuring out what Liv is going to do with the info she gathers. I really liked the mystery POV we got and I tried to figure out who it might be and was really shocked at who it turned out to be. The past story coming out is both tragic (obviously) and also a bit a feel good.

Excellent sophomore novel from Bradeigh.
