The latest in Anthony Ryan's series, and it doesn't disappoint. I feel at some point I'll have to start from the beginning, as there are so many memorable characters that have wide ranging development arcs. I'm already excited for Ryan's next book, whether it's in this world or not.

The Traitor, by Anthony Ryan, is a gripping conclusion to the bestselling fantasy trilogy, The Covenant of Steel. The story follows Alwyn Scribe, a knight and advisor to Lady Evadine Courlain, as he faces his toughest challenge yet. As the kingdom prepares for a final battle, Alwyn must make a difficult decision between his heart and his morals. With Evadine's puritanical fury taking over her benevolent faith, Alwyn begins to question her true motives. The book is filled with heart-pounding action and gritty plotlines, and Ryan's writing style is immersive, keeping the reader engaged until the very end. This book is a must-read for fans of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, and those who enjoy epic fantasy with complex characters and political intrigue. Overall, The Traitor is a satisfying and thrilling conclusion to the trilogy that will leave readers wanting more.
