I loved this book so much! I really didn’t know what it was about when I started reading it, but I quickly was obsessed! The characters are well developed, and I couldn’t help but love them all!

Careful, this book will have you book a ticket to Italy in no time.
A taste of Italian sunshine is an Escapist, summer Romance. It has the vibes of a romcom (you will laugh outloud), but without overlooking the character depth (I cried, in a good way). It's about found family and growing. I've found Jenn to be relatable in her manners, in her anxiety, and in her attitude to her family. Also, in the way she sees life. Even if it's not explicit in the book, Jenn appears to be an autistic woman, which is what I possibly found relatable.
Jenn and Tiziano are textbook Opposites Attracts, and their opposition and complementarity bring the book to life. Their chemestry is off the hooks. That, and the descriptions of Italian food and wines and cheeses, and landscapes. I am not kidding when I say prepare your place/train tickets.
I read the book in two seatings. I couldn't put it down.
I adored it, and highly reccomend it!

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was really excited to read this book. I was attracted to the cover and the synopsis, but as I was reading I just found the characters and the story very very unrealistic. I can't imagine these two even finding each other attractive and for some reason the main male love interest just seems like I don't know a hobo and the main female love interest was absolutely annoying. Her character was cold and bland and obnoxious. How does a wine connoisseur have such an allergy to wine and can't taste it when that is her job? It doesn't make sense. Just a pass for me sorry.

Jenn was a remarkable special trait, that in any other book should would have been a perfumier, but instead her amazing sense of smell, and fabulous nose are being used in her job as a wine buyer, in order to be able to produce the most amazing of tasting notes.

She has one weakness with this, and it's one her boss clearly wasn't aware of before sending her to Veneto, to discover the best proseccos to be stocked in the hotel she works for. Bubbles mess up her sense of smell, and she really can't do anything fizzy, which makes things a lot trickier.

She's also a city slicker, so being sent to the Italian countryside, makes her feel like a duck out of water, completely adrift, and it takes her a long while to fall into the Italian wine makers way of life.

And then there is Tiziano, local farmer, who has far more under the surface than his happy go lucky personality implies. And it really is opposites attract, as they get to know each other, and Jenn is introduced to life in Italy.

I loved the descriptions of the countryside, the occasional Italian words added for local flavour, and to really feel you are in Prosecco country. I could feel the sun on me as I was reading, although that may have just been wishful thinking!

It's another really enjoyable book from Leonie Mack full of fantastic character development over the course of the story.

Thank you to Boldwood Boos and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

The story is quite clunky, jumping from flower detailed descriptions of scenery and wines to awkward conversations. The foreshadowing of certain plot points is far too heavy-handed, and too on-the-nose with the “city snob meets good ole farm boy” trope.

The dude is kind of a hobo, hard to believe the attraction. And why so much focus on a wine expert who can’t handle alcohol or even drink some of it? Definitely seems like more time was spent researching wine and the Italian countryside than actually plotting the story.

I loved the descriptions of Italy and the wine, but struggled to engage with the characters. They grew on me as the story unfolded but I still found some parts a little far fetched and that made it difficut to belive in them. Still a wwothy read and a good way to while away a weekend.

I struggled to click with the characters from the beginning and found it quite hard going. The descriptions of Italy were lovely but unfortunately the main characters were a bit dull for me

Detail in the book makes you feel like you are there with the characters in Italy. Story decently engaging, setting imagery wonderful.

Jenn Park has been sent to buy prosecco for the prestigious hotel she works for; there's no doubting she's a talented wine buyer, but her gifted nose does not appreciate the bubbles..however when a farmboy from Veneto gets involved, it all changes for Jenn.

The story is predictable but enjoyable; I found it a little overly wordy at points but it captures a wonderful Italian atmosphere which is nice to escape to. The characters are mostly enjoyable, although some of their situations feel a bit far fetched.

It's a good summery read, nothing in it is too taxing (although trigger warning: child loss) but it didn't break any boundaries for me.

I really loved this book. It was so descriptive I could actually envision the location that they were in. I am still thinking about this days later. Absolutely amazing!!

This one wasn't really for me. However I did like the setting of the book. I mean who doesn't love Italy. But I just couldn't connect with the characters.

I can’t resist books in an Italian setting, and I immediately pounced on this one. I struggled with Jenn’s lack of personality for most of the book, but I enjoyed the ending that focused more on family and friendships, and less on her social anxiety. There was some growth of Jenn’s character towards the end, and she did make some friendships along the way, so I was feeling better about the book by the time I finished. The wine tasting descriptions made each one sound so beautiful, and I enjoyed them even though I’m not a wine drinker.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

The author has such a fabulous ability to create characters who are so real, one can actually almost touch them. In addition, she can evoke the landscape and culture of whichever area she decides to set her characters to work. I really want to go and visit the places she describes in all her books - they become so very real and vivid.

I loved this story, despite starting off thinking I was going to struggle with Jenn. Such a closed down, miserable woman who made her disdain for the Italians she met - very, very obvious. But of course the skill of the author makes us understand her and empathise even though a lot of things she does and says are really ridiculous. Having a crush of her boss, still being controlled by her mother and generally living a miserable life! But then she meets Tiziano who is one of this writer’s most delightful and fascinating heroes. I totally loved him - flaws and all. I loved the journey that the author took them on and the final resolution made me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

I highly recommend this book. - it is so fabulous.

Wow, I simply adored this book. From the very start I was in love with both characters, and my feelings only grew! Mack takes a plot that could feel cliche-city girl falls for hot Italian farmer-and keeps it fresh with unique and modern characters whose struggles feel very much of the moment, even as the beautiful rural vineyard setting feels like something from a story book.

It's hard to pack this much character growth into one book, but Mack does it beautifully, giving us characters who see the best in one another and help each other grow. I'm usually skeptical about people falling in love in short periods of time, but this really felt believable to me!

My favorite part about this book was its exploration of "losing perspective"-- usually we think of that phrase in negative terms, but especially for Jenn, losing perspective is freeing, and allows her to imagine a new kind of life for herself.

And an italian farmer with a pierced tongue?! Yeah, sign me up.

Jenn is a woman on a mission. Having landed in Italy, she must prove to her boss (and crush) that she has the wealth of knowledge and 'the nose' to root out the perfect prosecco for the hotel chain she is working for.
There are several issues, though, including where she has to stay and that her 'nose' isn't all that friendly with bubbles.
Oh, and there is a moody farmer, Tiziano, who keeps. popping up wherever she is. A farmer with his own deep-rooted secrets and nightmares.
I loved our Korean heroine, fighting to balance her mother's expectations for her life and career, as well as navigating certain cultural expectations that kept on popping into her mind at inopportune moments, with her true desires for her life and future, that became clearer as she spent the summer in Veneto, among the farming community and in the bosom of Tiziano's family.
Lovely arcs for both main characters and fun to read!
I enjoyed this and read it pretty much in one sitting!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.

Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read this eARC.

I enjoyed the details of this book, the visuals were so clear for me, it made me want to be in the Italian countryside so badly. I liked our characters, the banter, and the low stakes storyline. I also appreciate that it was a quick read- I finished in one sitting!
