So good. The steam is hot hot hot. Very interesting political issues in this series that give it a strong plot.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kennedy Ryan, and publishing for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I ABSOLUTELY loved this story!!! I thought I liked Maxim and Lennix in the first book…well I LOVED them even more in this one!!! This story was so captivating!! I couldn’t stop reading and thinking about it when I couldn’t read!

It was hard to get in reading time this past month, but when I was able to sneak some time in, I was swept away into their world and the story! Such a beautiful story about love, and being true to yourself, and being yourself even when it’s challenging! What an unforgettable story!!

I would also be amiss without mentioning the book bringing to light the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women…sad & disturbing…xoxo

Thank you to Net Galley and the author/publisher for a copy of the ebook for an honest review!!

Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️

The Rebel King started off RIGHT where Kennedy Ryan left off in The Kingmaker and immediately throws us back into the action. I loved the continuation of Maxim and Lennix’s story. I think I enjoyed The Rebel King even more than The Kingmaker. The Rebel King is high stakes, high drama, thrilling, and sexy. The Kingmaker series truly is like Scandal meets House of Cards.

That being said, I was a little disappointed with the rather anti-climactic defeat of “Abe”. For a villain that had the potential to be an evil, elusive, violent mastermind especially after the unpredictable and deadly events he orchestrated, he was handled rather… easily.

Overall, the romance, the plot, the action, the heartbreak - so much was amazing. Absolutely adore Kennedy Ryan’s writing and this series solidifies her as auto-buy author for me!

The Rebel King was phenomenal. There's action, suspense, sexy times, politics and twists. It's also an emotional rollercoaster. It played my emotions with expert precision. I loved it. Lennix and Maxim's story is epic, one not to be missed. I very highly recommend it.

This was such a good read and it was a lot different than Kennedy Ryans normal books but it was still a phenomenal read. The romance in this book made me jealous because I’ve never felt such love the way Lennix and Maxim have with each other. It was so breathtaking and wholesome even with their trials their love for each other withstood all of it and isn’t that what true love is.

Absolutely blown away. Speechless. In love. As soon as I finished The Kingmaker I needed more and Kennedy DELIVERED.

This was a phenomenal story. Lennix and Maxim have me in a chokehold forever.

The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan was a delight to read! I don't read much romance but if this is romance, I want all the things immediately. Brilliant writing, superbly crafted characterizations and on-point sequencing! I'm a full on Kennedy Ryan fangirlie!

This book really just took me for a ride. I loved the build up, the character development, and the writing. I would definitely read more from this author!

I really wish this author’s writing style worked for me. While the storyline and plot are strong, as always, and the characters likeable, I find the writing style to be really meandering and at times- boring. The author has a tendency to fully narrate very banal conversations between characters- multiple pages, sometimes entire chapters- of “get to know you” conversations and small talk that do not drive the plot forward. While these conversations actually read like real life conversations, they are boring for me in books- it’s okay for those kind of conversations to be implied in fiction, imo

The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan is the conclusion of the All the King's Men duology. The novel picks up from the cliffhanger in Ryan's The Kingmaker novel and take readers on an action-filled romantic adventure that keeps readers up all night to finish. The relationship between Nix and Maxim is emotional and filled with chemistry. Readers will appreciate the discussion and handling of social issues, the beautiful romance, and the satisfying conclusion. Kennedy Ryan's series should be on the top of all readers TBR lists.

This is and will be for a very long time one of my favorite books by Kennedy Ryan the story is amazing. I love the strong female characters that Ryan creates in all of her books, this is no different.

i got this book from netgalley.

this book was honestly just not for me. i did not find the romance compelling and was not rooting for them, like maybe there was a reason you guys weren’t together before. i feel like lennix has a direction and purpose in her life and maxim is pretty much just going with the flow. like, his brother was running for president before his assassination (rip) and the whole time he was like “yeah i could never do that” and then owen dies and he’s like “okay i’m running for president now” which i feel like is an insane thing to do. he has zero qualifications besides the fact that he wants to stop climate change or whatever.

he never really understood where lennix was coming from with so many things and would just get upset with her when she would explain her very valid reasonings. like…….you are forty years old. let’s be serious.

i can see why other people like this book/duology but it doesn’t align with my personal tastes.

This was an excellent conclusion to the duology. I enjoyed how the characters worked through their problems and grew separately and together.

This was a great second book, but it really felt like there should have been a third book. It felt like it ended really abruptly for it to be the end of a series.

The Rebel King is book two in the All the King's Men series, and is the conclusion to the series. I was so excited to dive into the conclusion of Maxim and Lennix's story. This book has suspense, romance, and amazing characters to help tell their story.

Kennedy's writing is so, so good. She makes you fall in love with her characters and her stories.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bloom Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Rebel King is an amazing and captivating read! It picks up right from the cliffhanger in The Kingmaker and has you on the edge of your seat. Kennedy Ryan crafted a story that was full of heart and emotion, with characters that you can't help but love and root for. The story continues following the journey of Maxim, who is determined to win back the girl that he loves, despite the odds stacked against him. It's a story of courage, resilience, and the power of love. I loved watching Lennix and Maxim work through their problem and the journey that came with Lennix learning to trust and heal from her past with Maxim. The growth and development of the characters throughout the series are truly remarkable, and it's incredibly satisfying to see them come into their own in this book. Kenndy has crafted an unforgettable conclusion that will leave readers both satisfied and longing for more. This book is a must-read for fans of epic fantasy, as it delivers on every front - compelling characters, intricate world-building, and a gripping plot.
