If Kennedy Ryan has no fans I am โ ๏ธ.
One word ๐๐ญ๐ฆ๐ช๐๐จ๐๐ฉ๐
Kennedy Ryan's writing falls in it's own category in my opinion. It's a romance but it has so much more depth. You feel completely emerged in the story. And her writing, it's absolutely breathtaking.
It's hard to list tropes on this one and not give spoilers. You have alpha male + alpha female. A long time frame with time jumps. Some second chance. Lots of suspense. A BIG OLE cliffy on book one, book two ends in a hea though! The chemistry and emotion is off the charts.

I've heard a lot compare this to the show Scandal, I see it... But it's also SO much more.
This is a series/duet that will stay with me and absolutely be reread.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and author for the copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
So good. The steam is hot hot hot. Very interesting political issues in this series that give it a strong plot.
Thank you to NetGalley, Kennedy Ryan, and publishing for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.
I ABSOLUTELY loved this story!!! I thought I liked Maxim and Lennix in the first bookโฆwell I LOVED them even more in this one!!! This story was so captivating!! I couldnโt stop reading and thinking about it when I couldnโt read!
It was hard to get in reading time this past month, but when I was able to sneak some time in, I was swept away into their world and the story! Such a beautiful story about love, and being true to yourself, and being yourself even when itโs challenging! What an unforgettable story!!
I would also be amiss without mentioning the book bringing to light the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous womenโฆsad & disturbingโฆxoxo
Thank you to Net Galley and the author/publisher for a copy of the ebook for an honest review!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this spicy book! Receiving an advanced copy was much appreciated. I believe both existing fans and newcomers will find it equally enjoyable.

The Rebel King started off RIGHT where Kennedy Ryan left off in The Kingmaker and immediately throws us back into the action. I loved the continuation of Maxim and Lennixโs story. I think I enjoyed The Rebel King even more than The Kingmaker. The Rebel King is high stakes, high drama, thrilling, and sexy. The Kingmaker series truly is like Scandal meets House of Cards.
That being said, I was a little disappointed with the rather anti-climactic defeat of โAbeโ. For a villain that had the potential to be an evil, elusive, violent mastermind especially after the unpredictable and deadly events he orchestrated, he was handled ratherโฆ easily.
Overall, the romance, the plot, the action, the heartbreak - so much was amazing. Absolutely adore Kennedy Ryanโs writing and this series solidifies her as auto-buy author for me!

The Rebel King was phenomenal. There's action, suspense, sexy times, politics and twists. It's also an emotional rollercoaster. It played my emotions with expert precision. I loved it. Lennix and Maxim's story is epic, one not to be missed. I very highly recommend it.
This was such a good read and it was a lot different than Kennedy Ryans normal books but it was still a phenomenal read. The romance in this book made me jealous because Iโve never felt such love the way Lennix and Maxim have with each other. It was so breathtaking and wholesome even with their trials their love for each other withstood all of it and isnโt that what true love is.
Absolutely blown away. Speechless. In love. As soon as I finished The Kingmaker I needed more and Kennedy DELIVERED.
This was a phenomenal story. Lennix and Maxim have me in a chokehold forever.
The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan was a delight to read! I don't read much romance but if this is romance, I want all the things immediately. Brilliant writing, superbly crafted characterizations and on-point sequencing! I'm a full on Kennedy Ryan fangirlie!
This book really just took me for a ride. I loved the build up, the character development, and the writing. I would definitely read more from this author!
I really wish this authorโs writing style worked for me. While the storyline and plot are strong, as always, and the characters likeable, I find the writing style to be really meandering and at times- boring. The author has a tendency to fully narrate very banal conversations between characters- multiple pages, sometimes entire chapters- of โget to know youโ conversations and small talk that do not drive the plot forward. While these conversations actually read like real life conversations, they are boring for me in books- itโs okay for those kind of conversations to be implied in fiction, imo
The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan is the conclusion of the All the King's Men duology. The novel picks up from the cliffhanger in Ryan's The Kingmaker novel and take readers on an action-filled romantic adventure that keeps readers up all night to finish. The relationship between Nix and Maxim is emotional and filled with chemistry. Readers will appreciate the discussion and handling of social issues, the beautiful romance, and the satisfying conclusion. Kennedy Ryan's series should be on the top of all readers TBR lists.
This is and will be for a very long time one of my favorite books by Kennedy Ryan the story is amazing. I love the strong female characters that Ryan creates in all of her books, this is no different.
i got this book from netgalley.
this book was honestly just not for me. i did not find the romance compelling and was not rooting for them, like maybe there was a reason you guys werenโt together before. i feel like lennix has a direction and purpose in her life and maxim is pretty much just going with the flow. like, his brother was running for president before his assassination (rip) and the whole time he was like โyeah i could never do thatโ and then owen dies and heโs like โokay iโm running for president nowโ which i feel like is an insane thing to do. he has zero qualifications besides the fact that he wants to stop climate change or whatever.
he never really understood where lennix was coming from with so many things and would just get upset with her when she would explain her very valid reasonings. likeโฆโฆ.you are forty years old. letโs be serious.
i can see why other people like this book/duology but it doesnโt align with my personal tastes.
No words. As always Kennedy Ryan is slaying! I can't wait to read more books by her. Love this duology!
This was an excellent conclusion to the duology. I enjoyed how the characters worked through their problems and grew separately and together.
I really liked this book, it was different than anything else I've read which was a breath of fresh air. I will be recommending this to my friends, and auto buy this author!
This was a great second book, but it really felt like there should have been a third book. It felt like it ended really abruptly for it to be the end of a series.
The Rebel King is book two in the All the King's Men series, and is the conclusion to the series. I was so excited to dive into the conclusion of Maxim and Lennix's story. This book has suspense, romance, and amazing characters to help tell their story.
Kennedy's writing is so, so good. She makes you fall in love with her characters and her stories.
