I loved the first book in this series and I really love this one even more! Kennedy Ryan has became one of my favorite authors. One of the greatest love stories ever written (in my opinion).

Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for the arc of this book.

“we weren’t unlikely, nix.” i say, no levity in the words. “we we’re inevitable.”

i liked this one a lot better than the first. it's still not good i mean it's not bad, but it's not that good either. I'm just not a fan of this duet at all, which is disappointing as i've really enjoyed kennedy ryan's books so far, but this isn't really my cup of tea.

Another phenomenal love story that goes beyond a warm and fuzzy happily ever after. I could feel every emotion that the characters were feeling throughout this entire book, and yet I still wanted MORE.
Also, we need more politicians like the MCs brother 🥺

As the gripping and passionate finale of the All the King's Men duology, this book had me completely engrossed from start to finish. Building upon the cliffhanger ending of Book 1, The Kingmaker, Ryan wastes no time in immersing readers back into the intense world of Lennix and Maxim.

The story picks up right where the previous book left off, with Lennix being held captive and Maxim fighting to rescue her. What I loved most about this installment is that the couple's reunion happens relatively quickly, allowing us to witness their powerful connection and the challenges they face together. Ryan expertly weaves a tale filled with emotions that took me on a rollercoaster ride, from moments of giddiness to heart-wrenching sadness and ultimate happiness.

The chemistry between Lennix and Maxim is palpable, and their journey towards justice and personal growth is both empowering and captivating. I don't want to spoil the plot, but I will say that the conclusion is incredibly satisfying, providing a fitting end to their beautiful story. Kennedy Ryan has once again delivered a remarkable romance filled with depth and passion, leaving readers thoroughly fulfilled and eager for more of her captivating storytelling

kennedy ryan’s books will never not rip your heart out before piecing it back together, and this one is no exception. i always know i’m going to get the most beautiful, heart wrenching, REAL love story between two wonderful people and if i could crawl into her brain for all of eternity, i would

This was an excellent follow up to the Rebelmaker. The beginning was a rush of adrenaline after the cliffhanger of the previous book. In fact there was a good bit of action, including heat between the main characters. But the best part for me was learning about Native American culture and the inherent concern of the characters, genuine concern about the earth they inhabit. The tension, sexual and otherwise was a close second.

Thank you to BloomBooks and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

CW: missing parent presumed dead, grief, toxic relationship with a parent, kidnapping, missing indigenous women, murder, death of a loved one, attempted murder, torture, violence

The second book in the duopoly you must read The Kingmaker before diving into this one

I would recommend if you're looking for (SPOILERS)

-m/f contemporary romance
-forbidden romance
-political intrigue
-insta attraction
-It's always been you

I won't say much because this is the sequel but Lennix and Maxim do not have it easy in so many ways and they fight tooth and nail for that HEA in the way only Kennedy Ryan can write it.

Steam: 3.25

Kennedy Ryan does not miss! I normally hate cliff hangers and massive time jumps but it just worked so well for this love story. The characters were swoonworthy and also relatable. Loved from start to finish

I was so excited to get a copy via NetGalley thanks to the publisher and Kennedy Ryan. I’ve really enjoyed her stories and couldn’t wait to start this one after Book 1’s cliffhanger. I did enjoy book 1 (The Kingmaker) but I LOVED The Rebel King- I could not put it down.

We pick up immediately after book 1 ends with Lennix being taken hostage and Maxim trying to get her back. Thankfully, they weren’t separated for long, especially because they had finally found their way back to each other again. I just really like that we get to see them together and the conflict they face in this book doesn’t separate them for years like in book 1. I don’t want to spoil what happens in this book but it made me go through so many emotions- giddiness, sadness, happiness, etc. Lennix and Maxim’s story is beautiful and I’m so happy to have such a satisfying conclusion for them.

I really enjoyed this duet and have loved all of Kennedy Ryan’s books that I’ve read so far. Book 3 follows Kimba and I can’t wait to read that when it’s rereleased!!

Thank you Source Books/Bloom books, NetGalley, and Kennedy Ryan for this ARC copy of The Kingmaker in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

This was book 2 in a duo logy for All the King's Men by Kennedy Ryan. I will keep this review shorter than my previous one to prevent sharing too many details and spoil it for those looking to read themselves!

Once again I was entranced by Ryan's ability to divulge such powerful, sensitive information in a brilliant romance story. After earth shattering events occur our favorite couple finds themselves fighting for their love... and lives. Will they finally find the happiness denied them all this time?

I cannot recommend this one enough! If you are looking for an honest, top tier romance that will educate you and impress you - this is the one. There is so much depth to the writing in this series, and I cannot get enough of it! I literally devoured this duo logy over the course of a few days!

Read if you love:
-Enemies to lovers
-Politically charged main characters
-STRONG main characters
-Age Gap
-Star Crossed Lovers
-Native American Education
-Possessive Alpha Males
-Mental Health

**You will want to check your trigger warnings with this one before going in. Sensitive scenarios occur that may trigger PTSD for anyone who has experienced similar traumas.

Maybe one day I will read a Kennedy Ryan book that doesn't rip my heart open and leave me in tears. This is not that book. Because I did cry. Because Lennix and Maxim's story over this duet has so many twists and turns, you always wiat for the next bomb to drop.

Kennedy Ryan has a knack with her words to make characters so rich and full that you want and sometimes need them to be real people. And she always deals with topics that are real. That are current and that shouldn't ever be swept under the rug.

She is an artist in the fullest and greatest sense of the word and I cannot wait to see what she brings next

Absolutely love this book and conclusion on Maxim and Lennix’s story. The heartache the author issues us while on this crazy journey is a lot but in a good way.

I was so immersed in this fictional world while reading this. I truly cannot get enough of Kennedy Ryan books. The characters had such a passionate love and it was fun and steamy! Such an amazing story!!

The Rebel King is an amazing conclusion to this duet. So many emotional twists and turns that kept me hooked as I was reading. As I said in my review for The Kingmaker, this author is so good at writing these books with a nice balance of love and happiness and still tackling the issues of our world right now.

Lennix and Maxim’s second Chance in this book was so beautiful to read. Their love poured off the pages and in every scene they were in together. For how strong of a person Lennix is, it was amazing to see someone like Maxim respect her power and her strength and never try and lessen it. I could rave about this book for hours, but I’ll just say that out of all the series and books I’ve read this year, this duet would be the first I’d recommend!

Honestly, because I’m a mood reader, this could have easily been a 5 star if I’d read it at a different time. This book was SO well written. It’s a political romance that gave me all the scandal vibes. I’m so impressed with how much research Kennedy Ryan must have done for this book and this duet. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for providing me an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

This book resumes Lennix and Maxim story after the cliffhanger of the first book. Overall I preferred this book to the first one, though I still feel it suffers from the same criticisms.

I think it was interesting to learn about the heritage and culture of apaches and I enjoyed the inclusion of serious issues such as colonization impacts. Additionally, I liked the bits regarding the presidential campaign and USA politics.

I still feel the romance is somewhat lacking as it feels solely based on their physical attraction.

The rebel king is full of action and steam, and I recommend it for contemporary romance readers who enjoy:
- Alpha and very controlling heroes
- Age gaps
- Dual POV

Holy crap on a cracker, this book was STEAMY. Honestly, I feel like there were some parts that could have been written out, but all in all it was a good read.

Lennix and Maxim has finally reached their happily ever after and I’m crying. A story fifteen years in the making and they finally have their happily ever after. At first I was apprehensive about the fact that their story is told by two separate books because if the conflict(s) in the first book wasn’t enough, I thought, how could it possibly get worse??? And this book proved to me how it *could* get worse. They both gained and lost a lot in this round. The emotional rollercoaster Kennedy Ryan has put me through is just… well, I’m just glad the story ended on a happy note. I never expected where both Lennix and Maxim would end up at the end of this book and how much it cost them. I love them so much. I’m glad there’s two books about them. I’m glad their story wasn’t rushed. I don’t care if there’s already two books about them, I want more!!!
