I started this book and the story seems to be really intriguing, but I cannot get past the stylized way that it is written. I have done work as an editor and this is just too much for my brain to not have quotation marks or any sort of sentence structure. This would be a great book for someone other than me, I, unfortunately, just cannot get past that aspect of the writing style!

After reading this and then going back to read the synopsis, I'm still not quite sure what this is about. I can say that there is a lot of dialogue with no quotes like Normal People (some people are fine with this; it's not my favorite), and it was super fast paced. It also felt very stream of consciousness at times, which again, fine if you're in the mood. It just wasn't what I expected at all.

This book was fantastic! I loved these crazy fun characters! The relationship between Solomon and Priscilla was wonderful. The whole book was just a wild ride. I cannot believe it is a debut. It’s got everything you could want, mystery, hilarious situations and characters, revenge, the voice of God and sooo much more.
