I enjoyed this story with all the characters within. The main characters were Achilles Smith and Barbara Walsh.

Barbara Walsh is an American journalist. She has found some information that someone want from her. They have took her to an island off the New Zealand coast. There is were she meets a man that save her.

Achilles Smith is a former elite soldier. He has built a home by the sea and become part of the island community. He decided to become a fisherman that catch fish for the island people. While fishing he come upon a something and save a woman.

This was a fun story to read. It had action, adventure and suspense throughout. There were a few giggles within.

I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

A short novel set on an island off the coast of New Zealand that readers of Lee Childs-style stories might enjoy. Not my usual reading genre but as I know the location it was fun to read. However I can't really give an informed decision about the story quality etc! Thank you to the author for the digital ARC and good luck with future books!

Really liked this shorter story of a veteran stepping up to help a woman threatened with death by police. Some action, part romance, and a good resolution.

Bait Mike Scott
Achilles, a warrior trying to recover from his past protects a woman and before you know it a sociopath is trying to silence him. Los of action, romance, chivalry, good guy/bad guy. Nice action thriller.

A well scripted novel that keeps you in suspense as fisherman Achilles Smith, falsely accused of murder, seeks to prove his innocence. The beautiful scenes in the story come to life as Achilles journeys around a remote island in New Zealand. Crime, survival and romance lead to a satisfying finale. Recommended read worthy of four stars.

It was a very short book and I would hope that there will be more books based on Achilles character.
