A corker of a book. An interesting story with, mainly, believable people. It's not often I can say this but the ending totally shocked me. One thing I can say is that thank goodness times have changed and having living in, very young, orphan girls as servants is no longer seen as philanthropic and that the girls should be grateful.

Loved it. I found it very moving at times.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers Joffe I read a free advance review copy of the book. This review is voluntary, honest and my own opinion.
