Ross Gay's writing is lyrical and inspiring. He conveys such insight into ordinary moments. I enjoy reading his essays slowly in order to soak them in. His philosophical voice is best when savored in small portions, so much tenderness is difficult to take in all at once. Recommended for readers and writers. I really love the premise of what Ross Gay is doing in his books of delights, but I find the writing to be overdone and therefore off-putting.
