Another good Tracey Crosswhite story with some old familiars thrown in . Tracey is tasked
with reopening the cold case from the task force of the Rt 99 serial killer by her boss who resents Tracey for the notoriety and acclaim she received when she captured the Cowboy killer.
Bring forced to work side by side with lead detective from the original task force, Norelsco, who also does not likes Tracey, makes for a very complex and superbly interesting storyline.
Characters are very well developed, as usual in a Dugoni novel, and the story moves along at a fast clip with intriguing twists and turns.
Enjoyed the character interaction s greatly.
And her story continues.........👍

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
Once again Dugoni had written a thriller!
Tracy is orders to reopen the investigation in the route 99 investigation. In this investigation 13 women were killed and then the killing stopped. But when the investigation begins again so does the killing- what it going on? Why are women being killed? Amid the investigation she discovers much corruption and coverups. When she cracks the Case you will be shocked who is involved and why!

Wow! My very first Robert Dugoni book and certainly won’t be my last. This book was captivating from the very beginning and kept me hooked until the very end! I loved the rich characters. This was precision storytelling at its best. Came together beautifully. Highly recommend
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book

Over the past two years, I've read the entire Tracy Crosswhite series. I have really enjoyed the series as a whole, due largely to Dugoni's writing. Unlike many male-written female leads, Tracy thinks, talks, and acts like a woman. The plot itself was a little out there, but that's the case with any long-standing series. I enjoyed #9, What She Found, and it's dual timeline between other detective's past cases and Tracy's cold cases. This book, #10, is very similar. The familiar cast of characters all make appearances, with Del and Faz featured again because of their history in the department. My only complaint is nitpicky, but the word "intimating" was used in conversation multiple times in place of "suggesting." Once or twice wouldn't have even pinged my radar, but it was used so often that I was physically reacting when I read it. I can't believe that's a word used often in anyone's conversations, especially within a group of old Italian-American men. But beyond that, this book was a great addition to the series, and I would recommend it to anyone else who's liked the series so far.
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Tracy Crosswhite still working cold cases, this one the route 99 killer will have
been 25 years. With orders to solve before articles to come out again.
Dead leads one after another, finding that there had been cover ups then as there
are now, A person who was well known, but not of his life.. The hurt, humiliation
the killer wanted it brought out about him, and bringing closure to those killed.
For Tracy and team a twist of how the case did close was quite a surprise.
Gripping plot with twists and of those involved, was well done.
Given ARC by Net Galley and Thomas Mercer for my voluntary review.

Excellent entry into a very good series. The author does an amazing job of pulling the reader in and keeping the story fresh. Tracy is still working cold cases, and this one keeps the tension going and the reader guessing.

Tracy Crosswhite is still working cold cases, & still proving that she’s a great detective. After 25 years, the route 99 serial killer is still at large. Crosswhite is given the cold case, & along with it her partner for the case, her nemesis and captain. For the first time , Tracy & Johnny actually start getting along & fight together to bring the killer down. After 10 books I’m not bored with this series. I look forward to each new book & hope to see the characters I like. The new cases or cold ones, are still strong. Highly recommend reading the short story, The Last Line before reading this one.
