Isaac is willing to look past that he'll have to work near horses as he does what he has to do to get his counseling degree working temporarily at a summer camp alongside someone he considered a nemesis. Abigail is a bit older than him and doesn't think she has a chance, in the meantime she offers to help him overcome his horse trauma.

So this is a pretty good book. I don't know what it was but for some reason I had a hard time sticking with this book for once I got into it I couldn't put the book down. It was interesting getting to know their past and why it shaped the way they currently are. Clearly both were having some insecurities and traumas due to their path and you can really see how it's shaped them for instance Isaac when it came to any anger issues he really didn't want to appear like his father and did everything he could to keep anger down. Then there's Abigail who's willing to put in everything and afraid to let anyone down and was willing to sacrifice everything to make everyone happy and comfortable. It was interesting seeing how the two came together and worked on their issues as well as helping the children that are in their care as they work in the summer camp. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

A sweet age gap romance, about facing fears, finding faith, and a future.

Isaac is determined to complete his clinical internship during the summer, but his only option to do that means facing one of his biggest fears. Abigail Shepherd is in the same masters program as Isaac and she runs the Horse camp that they are using for their final project, she had to grow up quickly and has a heart to help others.

An enjoyable read, Abigail and Isaac grow close through sharing about their lives and I thought it was cool that they shared a common passion for helping others. Abigail and Isaac are both going to school to be counselors so there is a lot more analyzing and talking about feelings.

Isaac is really great with a little boy that comes to the ranch, and I liked how Abigail is open about her faith. Overall, it was a enjoyable read with two likable protagonists that you can't help but root for all the way through.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Cowboy for the summer had a horse camp setting and it was very realistic. I felt the thread with Isaac and his father, and the resolution of it, was powerful. The ending was really good, it tied everything together.

This is a Clean Romance, and this is the third book in the Shepherd's Creek series. This book is all about what the main characters have overcome in life and moving on. I love the characters in this book. There is a little boy that goes to the camp that stole my heart, and I love seeing this boy change throughout this book as well. This book shows us that some things are not what they seem to be. I really enjoyed reading this book, but there were a few times in this book I felt the book was moving too slow. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired) or author (Danica Favorite) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I didn't like this one as much I do others in the Love Inspired line. But it was still a good quick read. And it's perfect for readers who want a quick sweet romance who prefer their romance's to be closed door.

This book is so good! It's so much more than a sweet romance. It's full of hope and inspiration, forgiveness, overcoming hurts of the past and learning to trust again. I loved reading Abigail and Isaac's story and highly recommend this book.

Danica Favorite is one of my favorite Harlequin Love Inspired authors, and the Shepherd's Creek series has been so fun to read! Plus, there are cowboy heroes, so what’s not to love? As always, Danica has a wonderful way of pulling you into the story and helping you feel the emotions. Recommended!

Such a wonderful book about facing your fears, letting God be in control and forgiveness.
Love how Issac and Abigail have so much in common but thought so badly about each other before working together.
This is a book I would highly recommend for any age.

This is a great book about God being in control of our lives , even the small things.
This clean romance follows Abigail and Isaacs love story. Abigail believes romance is not in her future and Isaac doesn’t have romance on his mind when he comes to do an internship at Abigail’s family horse summer camp. This book reminds us that God knows our inner thoughts and feelings and He will help us find them .
Abigail’s family circles around her and Isaac to ensure they both know that families are together and work to help each other , Great example and great read !

This is a fun one! I have never read from Danica Favorite and now I need too. She hooked me from page one. I love that Abigail is in her 40s and Isaac is a good deal younger. Their relationship was filled with challenges and struggles but they grew through each one. I enjoyed seeing the author handle discussions about the foster system, abuse, and fears. I was impressed with this world that I stumbled into and I will be looking to read more about these wonderful characters.

I received an arc via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

Such a well written, heart warming story that involves horses, second chances, clean romance and helping children realize their true value. The main characters, Abigail and Isaac have their own insecurities they have to deal with while working together also.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Harlequin Publishing & Love Inspired Romance for my honest opinion. This book is scheduled to release on June 27, 2023 and all words are my own.

Danica Favorite concludes the Shepherd’s Creek series with Abigail’s heart-warming story. I love that we finally get to see the mid-40s Abigail’s dreams come true after years of sacrificing for her family.

The age-gap romance surprised me at first, but Danica Favorite quickly convinced me that the connection and life experience between Abigail and Isaac made sense, especially since they were both very passionate about helping troubled kids feel valued and loved.

I like how Favorite started the story with the enemies-to-friends trope and built to a sweet romance. I really enjoyed the theme of overcoming our fears. The author delighted me with her use of Isaac’s fear of horses to be an example to the kids at camp, as well as a bonding experience for Abigail and Isaac.

The author also brought to life a vivid reminder that no matter how much we care for and sacrifice for our families, it is still important to care for our own well-being.

I strongly recommend this sweet contemporary cowboy romance for fans of Christian fiction and inspirational romance.

Genre: Christian Contemporary Romance, Inspirational Romance, Cowboy Romance
