Baking Spirits Bright is the second book in the True Confections Mystery series by Sarah Fox.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series [book:Six Sweets Under|60466242] and was looking forward to this book

I LOVED this book. Such a great holiday cozy mystery.

Becca is back and we get to visit Larch Haven. I love the setting of the True Confections candy shop.

Becca is getting ready for the Baking Spirits Bright holiday baking competition, and she is preparing her entry which is in the shape of Larch Haven.

All the characters are well written and well developed. That includes the kitties Truffles and Binx!

I really enjoy the romance between Sawyer and Becca that is developing at a perfect pace.

When there is a murder, Becca is on the case and needs to solve it before it ruins the holiday baking competition.

I really wanted to eat lots of candies while reading this fantastic mystery.

The author has such a talent for creating wonderful characters with a unique setting.

The mystery kept me guessing until the very end.

I can't wait for the next book in this fantastic series.

“Baking Spirits Bright” by Sarah Fox the 2nd instalment in the "True Confections Mystery" series. I love this series and book 2 did not disappoint!
Budding chocolatier Becca Ransom must solve a murder before she meets a sticky end.

I loved it! I really enjoyed visiting Larch Haven , and the True Confections shop at Christmas. How fun skating along the canals to get hot chocolate or work. Larch Haven is magical and I only wish it was a real town so I could go visit. Truffles and Binx get into a bit of mischief with the Christmas tree which is exactly what my cats did to mine so I could totally picture it. Another thing I enjoyed was the budding relationship between Becca and Sawyer.

This go around Becca is preparing for the Baking Spirits Bright holiday baking competition, a popular annual event. She’s planning to enter an edible model of Larch Haven, with a mountain backdrop made of cake, gingerbread cottages, and chocolate gondolas on sugar-glass canals.

Irma was a grouchy woman who never seemed to be happy but did she deserve to die …

It was entertaining, full of twists and turns and I didn’t completely guess whodunnit until Becca did. I am ready for some Christmas chocolates now, thank goodness Recipes are in the back of book…

I highly recommend this series to all my cozy loving friends and I can’t wait for book 3 to come out!

I requested and received an Advanced Reader copy from Berkeley and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my OWN.

This was a cute cozy mystery about a budding chocolatier Becca Ransom which is perfect for the holiday season. Becca enters a baking holiday competition and as she is chosen as a finalist one of the other contestants is found dead stabbed with Becca’s chocolate chipper. Now there is a race to find out who did it and trying not to be the next victim. All the holiday chocolates she makes for her candy shop sound so yummy and there is a recipe in the back for one of the treats.
Thanks to Berkley and Netgalley for the complimentary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

I really do enjoy a good Sarah Fox cozy. Just the right amount of cozy food related fluff and mystery plus a dash of romance.
