Sorry Danielle, this one didn’t do it for me this time.

And maybe it was me, I just couldn’t connect with this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for proving me with an advance copy of Palazzo by Danielle Steel in exchange for my honest review and opinion. As always, Danielle Steel knocks it out of the park with this book. I was so excited to read it and was not disappointed in the least. This book will totally tug at your heart and make you even shed a few tears (as all of her books do!). She's the absolute best author out there!

I loved the family dynamics of this book. Cosima ends up being the head of the family after her parents’ death. Not only does she have to take over the family business she also ends up responsible for her disabled sister and wild child brother. She gives up a lot for her family, including her chances at having her own marriage and family. Until she meets Oliver. Oliver’s son is a lot like Cosima’s brother, and they bond over that, and their competing businesses. There are so many different relationships in this one.
The scenery descriptions are always impressive. It really made me feel like I was there. The family house sounds so impressive.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House Ballantine for my ARC of this book.

A dysfunctional family in Italy has this book very busy ! The characters are unlivable and was very confusing. Danielle Steel’s books are usually fast and an easy read but got very confusing and very difficult to read. Wasn’t one I’d recommend for sure.

Great pick for anyone who enjoys Danielle Steel’s family sagas. This takes place in Italy where a family’s high end leather goods company is located. In a predominantly male world, the granddaughter of the founder is the one with artistic ability. She has to work hard to salvage the company and prove her talent.

Danielle Steel is my go to for a weekend get-away without leaving home - Palazzo combines a beautiful setting with family drama, friendship, and romance. Cosima is a more relatable protagonist and I kept wondering what, if anything, could stop bad-boy Luca. Thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to preview #Palazzo by Danielle Steel - I can't ever wait for her new releases!

Cosima Saverio is a typical Danielle Steel character, a strong-willed character who is very determined. I enjoy these characters because they are strong and determined. Cosima is a caring for her younger siblings. because their parents have died. She is running her family's company, trying to reign in her younger brother and keep their Palazzo intact. After all the mind consuming events that occur in life, their lives are on track. Until. Luca makes her life more difficult. Now Cosima needs to find a way to get out of this situation. An emotion jarring story, with marvelous characters and a great plot. Another great story from Danielle Steel.

This is a typical Danielle Steel read. If you've read many of her books before, you'll know what I'm referring to. I was so looking forward to this story about a family and their leather company in Italy. Following the stories of the siblings, we see the issues they face. While the story was just okay, it absolutely isn't one that I'll remember for long. It is a nice, short story though if you're looking for a quick read.

The setting was wonderful but I found a lot of the beginning to be very repetitive. The plot was very predictable as was the ending. Fans of Steele might find this enjoyable but this one was just ok for me. 2.5 stars

After her parents are killed in an accident and her sister is paralyzed, Cosimo Saverio is forced to entirely change her life. She has to give up being a lawyer, help take care of her brother & sister and take over the family business. She is completely overwhelmed but she needs to keep moving forward. It isn’t easy but with the help of a family friend, she keeps everything running. She actually helps the business grow, her sister thrives, the only problem is her brother. He has grown up to be a selfish, spoiled young man. He spends his money on women and gambling. Cosimo is at a crossroads. She needs more money for the business and her brother, Luca is spending more and more of the money. Their family business, has a specific niche is the market and Cosimo feels she need to branch out but how does she do it? She is lucky to meet Olivier Bayard. He runs the same type of business as Cosimo’s family business. Manufacturing high end fashion handbags. They meet at a party and hit it off. They have a lot in common and they are both workaholics, it seems like fate. Olivier has a son, Max who is as troubled as Luca is. Actually the two meet and you can only imagine the trouble they can get in. With the growth of the business, the trouble Luca and Max get into, Olivier and Cosimo become closer. Can the two get together, even with all the obstacles in the way? They live in different countries, can they find a place to start a life? Will they be able to have a happily ever after? Every time I get a chance to read a Danielle Steel novel, I do. Her books have always been a go to read for me. They just are easy to read and are filled with love. I want to thank Netgalley and the author for my copy of Palazzo. This was a four star read for me. I will always take the opportunity to read the next book by Danielle Steel book..

I have always loved Danielle Steel since I was young. Her books never disappoint. I especially loved this one as it was set in Italy and it was easy to imagine all the places in the book. This is a heartbreaking story about a family and loss. Make sure you read it.

Reading a DS novel is like pulling on a favorite pair of comfy yoga pants. It fits and is comfortable.
Sometimes there are criticism of Steel’s books that they are too formulaic but I find it reassuring.
A hulking Italian home is the focal point of a woman’s life and much of the plot revolves around the happenings of the home.
I thought Luca was a total waste and despised his character.
It’s a fast read.
