I really like Greeny and I enjoyed his narration here. My problems with the book are more I think they got the conceit wrong (presenting who owns the number, rather than discussing all the candidates, and laying out why they picked who they picked at the end) and I really hated the non-standard non-uniform number choices. thought it was a gimmick too far that didn't land for me.

I watch Get Up on ESPN where Mike Greenburg is the host. I really enjoy his commentary. His books follow the same style. Every once in a while as I listen to the audio of this book, I related the number with the corresponding athlete to my husband. I think he got a little tired of my “commentary”.

I enjoyed this a lot. I wish there would have been more women highlighted. It was a fun way to go through kind of the history of sport though.
